God damn. He died twice, AND DIGGLE WASN’T THERE FOR EITHER OF THEM!
Ikr the 2nd time Oliver died omg Diggle would of made it so emotional omg
The fact that Diggle said I missed him dying twice was a bit comical to me.
I do like the fact that Oliver queen is the spectre. I feel like his story about someone who started off just barely getting by fighting street level criminals ending with him becoming the ultimate power in the universe was a really great conclusion.
@@Browntable I really think they should have gigantified him like in the comics and had him engage in an epic kaiju battle against the Anti-Monitor.
now the arrow has ended Stephen amell is free to speak. he said he was annoyed and disappointed by legends show runners and others which led to poor handling of Oliver's death.
HITMAN yeah, he was mostly dissapointed he said with how they handled his first death. Instead of the actors being there with him. He had to say his lines to a tennis ball. Like really? You couldn't pull Mia and the Flash for 10 minutes for his death? Rude! I felt like all the cameos were really unnecessary like Ezra Miller's. Lucifer made sense. Batman meh I guess.
@@Fie0212 Ezra Miller's cameo was just pure fan service in every way possible.
It didn't really make a whole lot of sense for how Ezra even got there in the first place, I get it its suppose to be another dimension or something like that but it did feel a lot more forced.
Though while I don't mind CW's Flash is the one to give DCEU's Flash the name "Flash" I wished they saved it for the film. I'm almost betting the cameo is gonna be used again in the film anyway so its like, why not wait????
I recently rewatched the first few seasons of Arrow and the difference in tone is blatant. Arrow isn’t really a “ hero” he’s done too much dirt and deserved a character death fitting for the complexity of his character. Imagine him killed by a random in a rather ugly fashion. The fear and pain of that loss could have driven fans into the arms of his daughter who reluctantly has to carry on his legacy. Perhaps destroys Diggles moral compass and imagine the next season if Flash is all about him really for the first time dealing with fear, maybe even running from a situation that results in tragedy. Now he’s painted as a coward, perhaps his team loses faith in him, now you can play up the whole Iris being in his corner building him up stuff. All this to say the last season of Arrow should have been about pushing fans into other characters to keep them around.
@@brandonkeys4349 yeah he did a LOT of awful things. But he spent the later seasons tryinv to become better. Which I think he did that. Inspiring others to move forward and be a better hero than he was. Which I think the other heroes are. Coming back a better man after killing multiple people is a feat for sure. Unlike Bruce from the Crossover which I won't get into that was just painful to watch. Good Job CW had an opportunity there but ruined it.
@@Fie0212 tf? thw whole point of bruce in the crossover was that hes bad......
The one thing that stuck out to me was they never even showed what The Spectre can do. Literally all he did when he came back is:
- touch Barry's nose
- hugged the Anti-Monitor
- uh died
Dude... Oliver died as Oliver and not as Spectre. Don't be surprise if Amell return as Spectre for a few minutes in the new crossover.
Brandon Routh returning as superman is probably my favotire thing ive seen the CW do. Especially when he switches to his suit and the classic superman theme starts to play.
He just looks sooooooooooooooo good as Superman. Tyler Hoechlin looks good as Superman, but man, Routh was born to be Superman. Sad to say that he did not get chance to play him more.
I like how CW payed tribute to both Christopher Reeve and Kingdom Come.
The Fifth episode should’ve been the characters reacting to Oliver’s death and living on the same Earth as well as the battle with the reverse flash that was supposed to occur.
Also loved the Ezra Miller cameo in episode 4. It was so unexpected.
When fucking beebo came I wanted to knock my tv over Lmao the Legends of tomorrow episode brought the whole thing down
@@corpyhogan4433 What did you expect it Legends. This group tried to throw time travel in Flash face for doing flashpoint but they are the people that can only solve problems with more problems. Every season since Rip Hunter stepped down they have literially made every boss for the next season. They say Sarah is a better leader than Rip but she breaks time more than he did and the next season was not caused by their adventure's end when Rip lead. The show seems to be a way out of the arrowverse as it seems any side character can leave the cast by being in one season. Rip, Wally West now they will never realize that Wally is suppose to be the 2nd Flash and keep pedalling the Flashless future when Barry is gone.
Yamadiyoo and then rip hunter sacrificed himself to give the legends some more time so that they can just defeat a demon with a beebo. It is soo damn stupid but also i agree that they moaned at Barry for flashpoint but like every episode they break time
@@WrathofFenrir99 honestly i was just here until crisis. stopped watching this mindfuck of a universe
I know he was the Spectre.... but I really felt like he was a master Jedi the whole time.
10 years from now when people are watching arrow on Netflix they will say “ WTF is going on with season 8? Arrow went from a gritty Batman type show to this crazy sci-fi silly show!”
well season 8 was pretty gritty it got elements of sci fi but not that silly
AGREED!! Flash and arrow used to be one of the best shows on tv for me and then this bullshit came.
It never should’ve been a gritty Batman type show in the first place 🤷♂️
It was very sci-fi and totally did not fit the standards of the early seasons, but Season 8 was still phenomenal. They brought back great characters who haven’t been on the show for a while but haven’t been killed off, the action/cinematography was back to almost-Season 1 quality (I say almost because Season 1 is literally perfection in terms of making a dark gritty superhero show), and Season 8 Episode One was one of the greatest Arrow episodes ever.
I didn't wanna say it because I loved a lot of the crossover but man, they did my boi Oliver dirty. First, they kill him TWICE which cheapens the whole "you're gonna die in crisis" thing. Then they have him die surrounded by nobody (apart from Barry and Sara) who really knew him, his daughter just met him, Supergirl barely knows him etc.
DIGGLE WASN'T THERE TWICEE. Lastly, he died as something other than the Green Arrow. In the end, he was the Green Arrow in name alone and regardless of how cool or powerful Spectre is, it wasn't the hero we watched for almost a decade and that was the biggest injustice of all.
@@MikeRotch24 That's true, I forgot about her. The point still stands though. I feel like the majority of characters at his death should have been people he knew well, not the minority.
@@IntrestingThings1 they probably never got the chance to meet him and get to know him due to being in another earth :( they should've all bonded more tbh
it sucks that diggle or felicity couldn't be there but they'd be liabilities (also they were already erased at this point)
Honestly killing Oliver in the crossover kinda seemed like a bad move tbh, takes away from the finale
Oliver queen is like the first superhero I felt a deep emotional connection to. I have so many memories of sitting down and watching arrow. Takes me back.
Man, I still love the first two seasons. How they constructed a narrative from an obsecure superhero story and made a universe from there. It speaks volumes.
i found arrow when it was in its second season, i wasn't aware of it, it showed up on netflix and i remember seeing commercials, i knew of green arrow from the comics and the Justice Leage unilimted show, i liked Green arrow. so i gave arrow a shot one day thinking i wasn't going to care for it, figured i would watch one episode and go to bed then go to work. 3 episodes later i had to make myself shut it off and go to bed, it was way better than i thought, he was nothing like the comics or cartoon Green arrow but i worked for me, its like they wanted to make a Batman show but couldn't since Fox still owns the TV rights but Arrow had more Batman than Gotham. The hood reminded me alot of Red Hood but with arrows instead of guns and i loved it.
i know alot of people don't like Arrow since its not like the real green arrow from the comics but i looked it this way. we got both campy batman and the dark Knight and both are loved. why can't we have both Green Arrow and Dark Arrow
I don’t even watch arrow. I watched like 1 episode with my dad, and I watched all of the flash. But even if you just consider the crossovers, Oliver is the best character there
I also started with flash i liked it so much but when i watched arrow i thought it was alright but after watching 1 season it became my favorite show and the green arrow my favoritr hero
I watched flash before Arrow but I gotta say arrows better. Or at leased Oliver is better than Barry
Georg Bergsten Im a flash fan so I’ll always suck with Barry, although Oliver actor was beyond good
you are missing out my friend, the first 2 seasons of arrow is prime time television, it drops off till like season 5 which is also really good.
The Anti-Montor literally grows big and he gets SLOWER. What was THE POINT OF HIM GROWING BIG IN THE FIRST PLACE YOU WERE DOING JUST FINE WHEN YoU WERE SMALL AND NOW YOUR LOSING WHEN YOUR BOG. I just can't think about episode 5 anymore it hurts my soul
The Death Skuller for real what the fuck is this, power rangers? He has infinity gauntlet-type powers wiping out the multiverse with waves of dark matter but can only shield himself and grow big in battle? Absolute shit writing, what a disappointment.
Wouldn’t it had been cool if instead of having the bebo fight and weather witch the reverse flash came up and Barry and him fought. Then they could show off the new earth in the speedster fight and we could actually have the fight that was teased since the very first episode of flash. He could get stuck there making the news paper saying he vanished be true and the legend could pick him up like a week later so then it could have a focus on them since it is their episode.
Not great actually. You can’t put reverse flash for no reason. They were supposed to fight at the beginning of or during crisis not after.
Orlano Fanis well having him in there at that point is better than not having him at all.
Orlano Fanis episode 5 is still
Crisis. The anti monitor is in episode 5. It’s not
Post crisis
Oliver Queen was the one who said you have failed this universe, not Spectre.
Spectre is just the power, not the personality
I liked how they did it.
I really have no idea how this is my favorite CW crossover but yet the one I have the most problems with
Prob cuz it felt like it had the most stakes, I really enjoyed it as well ngl
it had a lot of shit going on, way more than previous crossovers. and fr tho it was really emotional and great to me, but still i have a lot of problems with it
@Arigato Senpai Given how the show is they probably didnt do it because Wally West would have to be the 2nd Flash as Flashless future is bs with Wally not dead but since the actor was on Legends Im going to guess he left and now they are out on the past the mantle which happen in Flash. Also you could see this in the season with The Teacher as that season if they didnt pull Flash out he would have to become the new Flash.
@@herizefell1431 not at all. The only reason it's valid are the cameos and the fact that it was Oliver's send off. Other than that the execution of this crossover is as shit as elseworld
The Black Lightning episode before Crisis actually showed his Earth getting destroyed in real time, and his reaction to it.
Wished Netflix finally put the 3rd season on their service in Europe (the Netherlands), we dont have a CW option over here.
@@Pikachoshi I agree. The showrunner of that show was not too keen on doing a crossover with the rest of the Arrowverse, but since he was previously accused of sexual harrasment & domestic violence, I don't think he had much of a say in the matter. They only got into an agreement to get Black Lightning in the crossover halfway through Part 3. Part 4 really didn't had any space to put him in. In Part 5, I think he had a few shining moments.
“Go out with a bang” I see what u did there u cheeky man
Gotta say, way more positive than I expected
BRO thanks you so much for pointing the “can i talk to you in a hallway privately for a second”. Its happens literally every single episode in these shows and is a big reason i don’t watch anymore
Rorschach's Journal indeed. Heck, Oliver even made of it in the Elseworlds crossover saying something along the lines of: “you can’t do anything without somebody giving you a motivational speech”
@@redhood2394 The sad part about last year is that Oliver accusing Berry is unfair. Often times it is Oliver himself who needs the motivational speech as much as Berry. It is why I stopped watching Arrow in the first place.
Cw has the world building and character building elements. But they really really really need better writers and a higher budget to iron out those cringe worthy cg fight scenes that are straight outta ps3 games.
Grade E Quality imo, the stories themselves aren’t terrible, but the execution. Last season of supergirl was just awful, but the overarching story is the only reason I stayed. The episodes were such a drag tho
@@MCLSD_ I don't watch supergirl but what you just said seems too be the case for me with other arrowverse shows. You're right. It's not the story, it's the execution and writing.
Chads, I absolutely hated the 5th episode. I found the microverse-ing the Grey Thanos to be simply lazy, as it was such a simple solution to such a complex dude. Also, wasn't that the solution for the first Ant-Man movie? Shrinking the bad guy into nothing?
I do agree with the Chad of Chads about them overdoing the "mourning Ollie" thing, and I say cut the scenes where the characters simply say, "Oh, no, he's dead" and keep the ones where they are discussing the effect Oliver actually had on them while and when they were introduced. They should also show the characters trying to readjust to their new Earth.
Thanks for reading my rant if you had the patience.
I dropped out of all the CW stuff after Flash season 2 and Arrow season 4? I can't even remember---too much to watch. But I saw pictures of that big blue thing and I thought people were just photoshopping that in as a joke. Yeah, what the hell was that?
Yeah I think the CW thinks it's doing something smart or clever with Beebo but it's just ridiculous.
That beebo thing was a joke that should have been used only one time
Its a Legends joke. I thought it was a neat callback to that season. Especially since the episode showed up was the Legends portion of the crossover
Honestly, CW's Crisis In Infinite Earth looks like a live-action remake of Super Friends with 60s Batman campiness.
The most frustrating thing about this crisis crossover is diggle wasn’t there when he died.
Why oh why couldn't they have made Reverse Flash the antagonist of part 5? Perfect way to end the crisis the same way it began, and to usher in a new era of the Arrowverse.
So supergirl could just fling him aside like she did in the Nazi crossover? He is only a match for wally because they are evenly matched. Supergirl is on another level.

@@benwasserman8223 c'mon no one liked ep5's final battle with heroes vs Antimonitor. After all sacrifices he comes back and it feels like everything that Oliver has done just wasted!
UMASHANKAR PATEL Yeah that’s how the comic worked. Universes merge together into one Earth, Anti-Monitor returns, heroes team up to kick his ass. Also Beebo, Hall of Justice, Mark Wolfman cameo, Superfriends reference. It was pretty fun
@@benwasserman8223 yeah everything was good. I enjoyed every cameos and references even that giant bibo one but when antimonitor return it became an unsatisfying end battle😔
@@benwasserman8223 Clearly you don't speak for most of us because the video has 2000 likes and only 100 dislikes. And just because that's how the comics did it doesn't mean it was good. Episode 5 was a disaster and an insult to the character that put the Arrowverse on the map.
My favourite parts were seeing lucifer, smallville, seeing Oliver in the Speedforce cause the way they filmed it was great and Brandon rouths superman
The whole crossover was a convoluted mess. The writers wanted huge or iconic moments throughout the crossover but consistently wrote themselves into corners by threading it all together with a very weak narrative.
"We need a huge twist for episode one!"
"Let's kill Oliver now."
"Great. But we still have Stephen Amell under contract for the other four episodes."
"Uhhhh.. He comes back to life! Lazarus Pit!... Purgatory! He's the Spectre now!"
For me the ending of episode 4 was odd because it felt like the crossover was finished. In my opinion they should have ended at that episode and then for each show, show the outcome.
that is kinda what they've been doing this past couple of weeks? Supergirl did great with it by furthering Braniac's character. Batwoman did a doppleganger thing as well which will pay off next week. Legends... just has that moment where Sara was grieving about Ollie. I mean, they're basically outside time and space so nothing really terrible happened to them. BL is still in a separate earth but they do talk about their experience of the crisis. Flash has yet to air their post crisis episode.
On a high note, I have started watching samurai jack and it is amazing. Season 5 is probably the best animated season of television ever. Genndy Tartokovsky who made the show also wrote the 2003 clone wars series. You don’t even have to watch the whole series. You could just watch the first two episodes and skip to season 5. I just picked and chose the episodes I watched based on the descriptions. There really isn’t much to talk about in a video, but it is definitely worth the watch.
Too bad the ending looks rushed but everything else is dark so it's good.
I feel like it’s a series that you have to watch all the episodes. I never found any of them boring. And the ending is super rushed and kinda dumb as the other guy said
I just don’t like how Oliver was originally just a normal guy with a bow fighting crime and they turned him into someone else - something else - where he now just shoots lasers and has a weird voice and fights gods and weird alien monster things
The worst thing about Oliver's death is neither Diggle nor Felicity was by his side , we should have at least got Thea by his side at his last time
My man you took the words right out of my mouth. It's decided a fan edit will be made, I will try my best.
The reason episode 4 was so great was because Marv Wolfman co-wrote it, you know the original writer of Crisis. He should have written the stories of every episode of Crisis, because episode 4 was so great.
I'm actually glad you also enjoyed it, and I was with you for 90% of the video. But I really loved the Legends episode because now it feels like we finally have 1 fully connected DC Universe and the scene of them fighting Anti-Monitor (as goofy as the fighting itself is) felt like a comic book come to life and I can't wait to see future crossovers from here.
P.S. Legends of Tomorrow is easily a Top 3 Comic book show for me, right under S.H.I.E.L.D. and Daredevil. Not for any of the same reasons, but it's absolute ridiculousness is what makes it fantastic for me
I love Legends and I thought episode 5 was mostly good but having the Anti-Monitor come back really cheapened his death. It would have been better if it was Thawne leading the shadow army like in the newspaper.
yeah part of Legends' charm is that they don't have to follow any books but rather it's just a romp through time and space, like star trek or sliders.
Black Lightning is my favorite
And it sucks that one of those characters who I THOUGHT was going to be important to Crisis didn’t even make a cameo
From the CW or you mean in general like comics
Sorry, I’m a curious being
😵
A UFO with WiFi coverage I think he’s talking about reverse flash
Ludwig Van Beethoven Good guess, but I’m referring to Jennifer from the Black Lightning show which had the ninth episode focus on Jennifer seeing parallel realities where things end badly for her family as the anti matter wave is about to wash over their Earth
@Rorschach's Journal
Indeed, Black Lightning was one of the main highlights of the event.
I also thought Black Lighting's presence was the best imho because for people who have not kept up with any of the established shows his perspective on the entire event was fresh and thus relatable for those individuals (such as myself), in particular.
You could literally just watch Black Lightning's show and a couple of significant clips from Arrow, Flash and/or Supergirl AND understand just enough to not be lost or at least get invested in what happens/doesn't happen to the characters.
I do like how the non-Legends heroes react in confusion during the whole Beebo fight.
Glad to have another Arrow fan (the things you said about him really resonated with me) rather than a typical flash shill. Arrow has been the only show on the CW worth watching for years.
I 100 % agree. A lot of stuff in the Crisis was poorly written. Episode 5 was a joke... I also dont like how they are always mentioning being in a "crossover".
exactly. That was what I was thinking too. They are forcing way too many jokes about being in a "crossover".
Glad to see another Arrow lover, who was disappointed with how they handled Oliver's death.
Hey well at least my boy Kevin THE BATMAN Conroy made his live-action debut.
The most shocking thing about all this is that I had no idea that Arrow was still running and that "Arrowverse" is an actual thing.
The crossover should’ve been renamed to “Crisis of Infinite Cameos” or “Filler on Infinite Earths” as that’s largely what it felt like.
The Flash is what pulled me into the Arrowverse and I feel they did my boy dirty. This feels like more like just another crossover Barry is roped into along with other heroes than it did the shadow looming over Barry since season 1 finally catching up to him. I've been waiting for six years only to watch another version of the version of the Flash die because they "never specified which Flash."
Great video. I don't really watch the cw anymore and while this crossover was just ok, the way Oliver went out in episode 4 was kind of perfect. I used to be so into Arrow and seeing this character die was actually kind of sad. But then episode 5 was just a mess.
For someone who doesn’t really watch the other shows I’d say you’re pretty spot on
I mean you watch Arrow for 8 years, then Oliver doesn't even die on his own show. He dies in the crossover event, and not only that but the epic fight that kills him is doen off screen too. Then he comes back as some weird Spectre shit, and dies again! Have Oliver die on Arrow, where the whole Arrow-verse began, not twice on a crossover event..
You are wrong in one thing. Oliver deal with Monitor was about Barry and Kara surviving in Elseworlds. Oliver was going to die anyway, but the deal was that Oliver would do anything to help survive the multiverse. Monitor himself (COIE episode 1) said that what would happen has nothing to do with their deal.
Legends is actually the funnest and most bonkers CW show (in a good way) - you guys are missing out if you don’t watch it. It’s actually the only show I still follow outside of the crossovers.
That's true but the last ep to this crossover didn't match with their tone
Oliver should’ve disappeared at the end of episode 1 (or died off screen). With the Monitor being unable to reach him, the heroes go to Constantine where they discover that Oliver’s soul is in purgatory. Oliver wakes up to find himself in Lian Yu. This way we would’ve still had Lucifer’s cameo and oliver’s actual death in episode 4 would have had more of an impact.
The crossover lost me when the flash had to stop mid fight to remind everyone they were in the fight of their lives ..cause it didnt feel like it the had to have someone actually say it..forget failing Oliver .they just failed
It’’s disappointing that Oliver didn’t put an arrow in Anti-Monitor and like Oliver’s dead is really poorly handled, but at least the last Arrow episode was great
Only problem I had with crisis and the last crossover was that Oliver literally met Kara like 5 times and he acts like she’s so important tf she’s not, same with legends show.
The next crossover will be "Crisis of Infinite Lesbians".
Mint Berry Crunch crisis on infinite lesbians makes no sense, it wouldn’t be marked as pg-13, there will be no main villain, arrowverse characters won’t fit in
@@JashXD 1st.. Its just a joke
2nd.. Every CW Arrowverse show is already packed full of lesbians (with intimate sexual scenes included regularly)
3rd.. Of course the main villian would be any and all straight white american males
4th.. Arrowverse characters already don't fit in to the Arrowverse anymore
Honestly, even if they got Oliver's death right it wouldn't of saved this year's Crisis. The setup was so promising but ended up being just so dull & hokey & nearly all the cameos were pointless & uninteresting. The exception being Kevin Conroy's Batman. Holy Shit that was that good! Infact they should've saved that for a multi-episode run in Batwoman, but it was easily the best part of this year's Crisis to me. The rest of Crisis on Infinite Earths, huge disappointment that was nowhere near as good as Crisis on Earth X
Thank the lords SOMEONE was able to embody how I felt towards the characters this whole crossever.
To CW and Legends Show runners: "You have failed the Greeeeeeeen Arrow". Honestly Arrow was the one that kept all the shows alive, and the crisis alive. The legends showrunners messed up the finale.
Stephen smell was born to play Olive Queen
RIP to Oliver at least he won’t have to suffer botched crossover again
The flash is my favorite arrow verse character and I was shocked by his acting not in crisis but In the episode where he sees a baby Nora and she just goes through his hand and is asking to be able to hold her and you can feel the desperation in his voice and eyes and his physical performance
Reverse flash should have been the main threat of episode 5 like a back up plan from the anti monitor
The reason I’m so upset about the Batman story is that Kevin Conroy’s first live action Batman; is an asshole only made to improve the worst CW show. But Brandon’s Superman was fantastic
If Oliver doesn't die in the first part of the movie, he never becomes Spectre and the Anti-Monitor wins.
Oliver’s first death pretty much happened OFF SCREEN. Like wtf?? Compare that to supernatural when dean got ripped apart by hell hounds, who’s death was more tragic.
Then he had an opportunity to come back alive and he chose not to for some weird reason. It felt forced and out of character. Then his second death wasn’t really sad at all. And Diggle wasn’t there for either of them 🤷♀️
Instead of wasting Time with Beebo they should have had a reverse flash fight.
Mannnnnn! I mean like RIIIIIIIGHT, wasn't the epic street battle with R.Flash one of the points of the crisis??THAT crisis was just bullshit n crap
From Arrow Season 3-8 Failed Oliver Queen this was just the nail in the coffin
Amire Alkhateeb beginning of 3, all of 5, back half of 6 and front half of 7 was amazing. All of 8 was great but other than that yes I agree Arrow has had some low lows
I'm gonna rewatch it but didn't you care more about the conflict between Slade and Oliver? After Season 2 I was convinced Slade needs his own show without the love stories
Nah 5 was one of the best. Best villain in the Arrowverse for me (not Deathstroke because I thought Slade worked even better as a friend than a foe of Oliver.
Comic Pariah: I'm Sympathetic and understandable.
CW Pariah: Hi there, I'm just tacked on in here so you think that this resembles the Comics.
I am not a fan of Nash Wells either, since his role in Flash is nonsensical as is the attempt of a parental bond between him and Allegra.
Iron man: I sacrificed to save the universe
Green Arrow: Ha I saved the multiverse
Smallville and Lucifer with Constantine were the highlights for me
First video I've seen of yours after seeing you recommend on Twitter for the past few weeks. 👌Good job my guy. I have a very complicated love hate relationship with arrow and could probably make at least a 3 hour rant about seasons 3 and 4.
I think most people checked out around arrow season 3 and flash season 3. Honestly the new shows don't even feel like they are connected to the first few seasons of arrow or flash
I know I'm like 4 years too late but another thing that I have a problem with was the order of reach episode. This is how I would have ordered them:
- Part 1- Flash
- Part 2- Supergirl
- Black Lighting Tie-In
- Part 3- Batwoman
- Part 4- Legends of Tomorrow
- Part 5- Arrow
I'm not saying that they should gave taken each episode as they are and put them out of order. I'm saying that they should have came up with this order and then written the episodes according to it.
What made The Crossover falter: Marc Guggenheim (the guy responsible for the Abhorrent Story for Green Lantern.)
It's the biggest crossover in DC because Part 4 of it as Barry meeting his DCEU doppelganger
Oliver's deal was to save Barry last year, not this year. I thought you were taking the angle that we know Barry won't die because his show has another 13 episodes, but the angle you took was objectively wrong. Because we were told that Barry was going to die. They emphasized it to the point where when Earth-90 Barry died instead, it made no sense because A: The Monitor knew (I guess should have known) that it would be Earth-1 Barry who dies and B: Out of the billions of futures that Barry saw in The Flash 602, the only one where they save the multiverse was where he died. He saw himself die. There was no way he confused Earth-90 Barry for himself. So no, we didn't think Barry was going to die, we knew. The fact that he didn't is simply something else that was poorly explained or just a flat out plot hole.
I know, right?! How do you do a video like this without doing even a little bit of research? Even in the first episode of Crisis they tell you that the deal expired after Elseworlds.
@@christianrapper Nope. That is what the Monitor said, but that's not what Barry saw. Barry saw himself die. He didn't see Earth-90 Barry die. If he did, he would have said so.

The showrunners confirmed that Oliver is still the Spectre after Crisis. He's basically living in a pocket universe with Felicity until he is needed. So he can and probably will show up again in the future.
The Monitor told Oliver in the first episode of Crisis that the deal that they made last year only applied for Elseworlds so Flash could have died.
Crisis on Earth-X was still the best crossover episodes imo.
Its so sad because I had so much hope for COIE and I really believed that it could top Earth-X...
“Dying is the easy part” is the most insulting statement I think I’ve ever heard
If you watch the Flash series, then the tension is the other way around. They spent the whole season getting everyone ready for his death, and constantly reinforcing that there's absolutely no other way. Much more so than Oliver in Arrow. So it actually came off as a really cheap undermining of the dramatic irony.
Ive never seen a concept with such a grand scope, feel so claustrophobic
_Crisis felt like one big disappointment to me. It's what made me finally tune out if the Arrowverse._
They did kingdom come doorman dirty. He deserved more screen time. But im happy he hit a happy ending
I honestly thought Barry's non-death was insulting. Yes, obviously he wasn't going to die. At least not permanently. But to just straight-up lie to the viewers, and kill a different Flash instead? There are so many better ways they could have went about it. Have him sent to the future or something, IDK.
dude. you have no idea how fucking good this is. by far your best upload ever imo
I just didn't feel either of his deaths. I didn't want to think poorly of Stephen's acting considering all of the good work he did over the years, but then I saw an article saying Stephen felt awkward about recording the scene, so I feel better about thinking that knowing the actor didn't like it either.
And I like that Stephen is able to admit that. He seems very humble and grounded
I was annoyed by the 1st death only, the 2nd death hit me more emotionally and was handled much better
You're forgetting that the monitor already told Oliver his sacrifice was meant for the previous season, so the question of if Flash was going to die or not, was still on the table.
Crisis on Earth X is still the best crossover of the arrowverse, period
They did Oliver DIRTYY!!!!!!!!, Oliver literally carried the CW shows. Also arrow is the only show in the CW i actually cared about.

Browntable I’m sorry bro I enjoy your video but when you say you don’t care. You do care!! You just like WTF with the plot.
@Browntable ... Monitor said Oliver that his deal was only for saving Kara and Barry in Elseworlds crossover. There is a scene in Episode 2 of Crisis for this.
@Browntable and another thing... Black Lightning didn't come out of nowhere. There was a tie-in episode in Black Lightning where red wave was destroying his earth and he vanished at the last moment. It wasn't an official part of crossover but was just like a tie in comics
Kelly Kat dude, it’s not as complicated as you are making it. Barry saw himself dying on that treadmill. However, the other flash took his place since everyone that he knew was already dead. Barry didn’t have to be the one to do it t. Any speedster could have done it.
I can forgive you cuz you said at the beginning you didn't follow the rest of the shows, but please never, ever forget, All hail Beebo. 😀😀😀😀. He was for us Legends fans who were said that they weren't in the crossover.
