AK has the same accuracy. The recoil makes it look like it doesn't. If you gave both a bipod, depending on the barrel twist, barrel length, and the ammunition, you're bound to get the same level of accuracy. But since M4 maintains accuracy better, I gottta get that :) Also, 556/223 power is not far off from 7.62x39.
I’ve only fired the M4 full auto, not the AK, but from shooting semi auto with them and watching enough videos it seems nearly impossible to maintain any sight picture when doing anything more than short burst. Seems like the thing just rocks your whole world. However I’m sure with enough practice you can maintain some situational awareness during full auto
I love both the M4 and the AK. But, if I were to choose one as my own machine gun, I go with the M4. The M4 has the major advantage of being infinitely customizable with a variety of parts, and the only part that has to be pre-86 registered is the lower receiver, hence it’s legally the “firearm” itself. To get a civilian legal M4, it has to be a pre-86 transferable M16, and once the M16 is finally obtained, it can have its original cosmetic parts changed, therefore turning the M16 into an M4, and vice versa. The AK on the flip side is more of a “what you see is what you get” machine gun. For me, the M4 wins in terms of customization, hands down.

I just love the simplicity and reliability of it, especially since I live in a climate thats cold half the year, and AK's objectively better in the freezing temperatures (Like during hunting season for us) since that's what they were built for!

If im lost in the jungle with hundreds of predators, ill go with ak. More powerful, more trusted, and more reliable. If im lost in a city with bunch of criminals, ill go with ar. More easy to operate, lighter in every ways, and better velocity. Humans does not have thick hides so ar rounds shouldnt be a problem. But if i have to choose one only, ak 47 for me. Best all around rifle.

Fill out and submit a Form 4 with fingerprints, photographs and $200 tax stamp to the NFA Branch. Wait about a year for the ATF to do a full FBI background check and approve your form, then you can bring your gun home.
