Oh man, once u get that brushless with the new ESC its a game changer on how nice it moves. I worked on this AX24 for about 8months before I moved it into the Kangaroo chassis from Injora and it was the best thing I did with it. Im talking all sorts of mods to try to improve the nightmare rig. One of the best was just heavy brass wheels to keep the thing from rolling so much, then a new Brushless combo with that awesome ESC to get rid of that insane whine from the stock ESC. The slow control is next level with these 24ths and a brushless system :)
Ive got one posted some where, I will find it and list it here for ya too :) Here is the parts list I gave to someone else so Ill repost it here for you too. I took the Ax24 after many many attempts to try to fix its horrible self lol and made it into a Gladiator length rig, still a 24th scale. And for a parts list, sure thing! :) Injora Brass wheels, what ever kinda u like, with or without a negative offset. Glad length Links in what ever colour you want. Mofo RC Black Label servos with servo mounts. Or Emax servos with RampCrab servo mounts in what ever colour. RampCrab steering arm in what ever colour u dig. Proline Trenchers tires, I might try out some Baja Pro X with it too so keep options for tires open. 5mm Hex extensions or wheel weights with the Hex extension built in. Furitek Stinger Combo, u get the Micro Komodo motor with the Lizard Pro ESC. Kangaroo Chassis from Injora. Injora 43 or 48mm shocks in what ever colour u like. Injora skidplate in what ever colour u want. Injora Gladiator length metal drive shafts. A mod I want to do is get better axles for it so it has higher turning angles, some metal ones but not sure what ones just yet, many options on that to pick from. MOFO RC, LGRP, Meus, Injora so many to choose from. Gens Ace Adventure 400mah battery cause its nice and skinny and fits into this build extremely well. Another thing Ive done is a lead sticky weight mod I put into the wheels around the bead lock ring, it adds around 25g of hidden weight and its awesome for that extra traction. I think thats about it, just looking at the thing and I cant see anything else that is here but not on the list. Hope this helps you out if your going to make one for yourself. If you dont have the Ax24 yet but want something like this, dont buy the ax, just buy its receiver or something with a 4ws system and avoid it. As right now there are only 3 parts from it in this rig, once I get 2 new axles there will only be the receiver left. So you dont need to spend money on it. Happy building! EDIT: Oh yea, and 2 sets of brass steering knuckles of w/e brand u like. :)
Sweet Looking Pile of parts, I am a big fan of the injora stuff, gladiator looking sweet. Love the Kangaroo chassis first time I have seen that one.. I think..LOL. I did not by the AX, didn't really need one since i built the 4 wheel steer Scythe. Sweet Green out of the stinger. Nice looking overall rig.
Thanks Radio!! The Ax24 SUCKS!! I think the Scythe is awesome chassis to be 4ws, I sadly got the Ax24 so I wanted a cheap chassis and saw this one on Brian Cochener's channels and was sold. Havent ran it just yet cause Naths live, but will test it tomorrow on the mountain. Peace dude!
I want to do the same thing except try and use the stock chasis for now and see if i can make it to work! I have the same links, but do you need the servo mount for the upper links, or can you mount to the oem diff link mount? And how long of a drive shaft did you use? Love the build!

Ive got other vids on this thing before I got it to this point. But I think this chassis or something similar is the way to go. I think I paid about 19bucks cad for it.

It went from the stock to Glad length, so at this scale its quite a bit longer, the climbs and descents are unreal now. If your wondering if this is worth doing, yes, yes it totally is. How Ive got it now the thing is crazy with what it can do, insane belly draggin LCG rig.
