I wish we could normalize being more honest because the fact that it’s so frustrating yet people still force themselves to put up with it is crazy. Introverts and extroverts aren’t foreign to society so I don’t get why we can’t just start saying you don’t want to talk and being okay with silence cause it shouldn’t have to be so toxic..
Yeahhh it would be nice if we could and we maybe could start but you know people will say we are rude if we say that... like people feel entitled to reactions or responses. We just want to handle our business and go. Why we gotta talk?? 😭😂 it's unfortunate.
This video is so real 😭 especially when you work in retail. It’s aggravating cause I just wanna do my job and GO. I don’t care to befriend customers nor my coworkers. I ain’t getting paid to like y’all lmfaoo
I could not even imagine the constant small talk you have to put up with working in retail. 😭 I've seen people hold up a whole line talking about their lives like "Girl just buy the shirt and go." 😂😂 You definitely deserve to get paid more cuz dealing with the public is no joke in general.
If i say thats crazy, during your comments, it means i want to run away from you. I much prefer people to just ignore me and move on, than try and talk about nothing. My go to move is to make them uncomfortable so they leave.
I read comic books. So if im at a book store and im holding a superman comic, and someone strikes up a convo, im fine with that kind of small talk. But thats very rare for me.
My pet peeve is when cashiers start telling me about their life or family or.... anything at all. I bought a foot file last week, and the woman was telling me a story about it and how she got one. I almost dropped it and left
Not "that's crazy" meaning I want to run away from you. LOL Same tho! Like please just let me live my life quietly as I was. LMAO I couldn't imagine trying to make people feel uncomfortable because I know I'd feel more uncomfortable than them. LOL
Yeah conversations about things you enjoy can definitely be rare when out unless you're at a convention or something which makes sense.
LMAAAAOOOOOO I could understand sharing as far as why it's a good buy, but then again it's a foot file. You needed it..so you grabbed it. I think conversations like that only go well with people sharing reviews on tech or food. LOL
@@JasminesRooms Earlier today i was at work and i too have a welcoming face, so im told even tho my resting bitch face is real. I dropped like 9 thats crazy's, and 10 oh shit's. IT was painful.
What i mean by making them feel uncomfortable... I just hardly respond and dont make eye contact and basically act like a bitch so they hopefully cut it off before i have to drop another dozen "that's crazys"
I've noticed a lot of people dont realize "that's crazy" means I'm done with the conversation. They just see it as a response to keep on talking. 😭😂
See the few times I tried making someone uncomfortable that way... they just kept talking til I could escape. Lmaoo Some people will still press you even if you try to make them uncomfortable. They're horrible body language readers and they're probably a lil self absorbed too 😭😭
I hate small talk bc it’s not genuine. But I learned it’s a part of life. I won’t ever start it, but I won’t be rude if someone does 😂 I feel like old ppl are more into it than our generation
It really is apart of life. Same. I won't be rude either. People sometimes get too aggressive when you dont interact. 😭 They feel entitled to a response and it's just easier to interact briefly than to interact negatively.

This is small talk. This is the problem with the internet/social media. Because you are able to get online and speak to people, it feels like everything else isnt needed. However this is all empty interactions.
You are responding to everyone in this comment section who are all random people because it is much easier than speaking.
Technically this isnt small talk because I actually want to connect with other people about the topic. Also me responding is me interacting considering I asked multiple questions in my video and if people felt like responding.. they could. There's a big difference because I have specific intentions to connect vs with actual small talk... there honestly isnt a purpose for it.
Small talk does not come to me intutively and I don't derive pleasure out of it so I agree, it's such a waste of energy!
