- This is the engine disassembly video of a 2006 Suzuki Rm 85. This engine had a spun rod bearing and had a bad knock in the bottom end.

Hey man I just split my case on a 2021 rm 85 that’s some real work no joke man
You need to use a case splitter in order to split the cases properly. The screw drivers and other prying methods will ruin the cases by bending the metal and therefore it will never hold oil again.
I agree with you. The atv cases that I deal with have never been this hard to get apart. I was just fixing this for a friend and have about bit off more than I could chew. I took my time with the prying and didn't mess the cases up but I could see where it could happen. Do they make a special tool for assembly or do you just press them back together with a press?

I used wooden shims to not mar mine to lift the case it works awsome is that ok ?
If ya mar it why can’t u blast a weld and sand it even ?
I did not even need a case splitter I just tried to open it with my ands and worked

The good ol split the cases with a screw driver and a hammer trick! Classic. Did she seal up ok when you got it back together?
Yes but it definitely wasn't the easy or best way to do it. It also took forever.
@@FourwheelerDoctor I watched a buddy punch a hole right threw his cases doin that. The look on his face was priceless. He was hitting it way to hard though. Jb weld fixed his problem. Alot of jb weld. Held up for a long time
How did you remove the cylinder jug boat inside with a power valve
I believe I used a boxed end wrench to get it out

@@bigmagic271 oh I'm sorry it's just some scrap wood I threw together it's about a foot square 2x6 decking boards I think.
Hey bro sorry to bug you is they a is there a secret to take off the flywheel I've tried everything
@@bigmagic271 get a three jaw puller like I did put it on there tighten it up leave the nut on the end of the crankshaft loose so you don't mess the threads up. Tighten the three Jaws as tight as you can get it and then hit the end of the three jaw with the hammer it'll pop it off

I bet that noise was the flywheel that’s what I found on mine
What noise because i pulled my fly wheel off the same way he did and im worried because I heard those 3 jaw pullers can mess up the magnets
