I dont know.. Leclerc honestly doesnt seem to do much better. Charles is probably faster on a single lap than Seb, but the pressure is starting to build up together with all the mistakes and its just sad to watch. Maybe a few years later people will start to appreciate how much Vettel actually did for Ferrari, to keep that sinking ship afloat..
Honestly vettel driving wasn’t exactly any worse at Ferrari than at Red Bull, especially in 2015 and 2017, just didn’t have a competent team like he did at Red Bull
They’re dictated by Verstappen, Hamilton and Alonso fans which made up majority of the fan base. Majority of the “Vettel fans” these days are mostly newcomers who joined the love Vettel train during the 2020s, and they don’t have a clue about his true racing abilities. His Ferrari stint before 2019 was monstrous where he was easily the best driver all around. He was a title contender in 2015 with a tractor, he was on pace with the Mercedes at times in a much slower car in 2016. Majority of the drivers during that era are dependent on rain and Mercedes having mechanical issues to even challenge them, but Vettel did it on pure pace. And he’s the only one to do so.
Even the fact of being p2 in the championship, with multiple wins, second after Hamilton (now 7 times WDC), against a turbo hybrid dominant team, is thought to be a failure...Talks a lot about the man.
anyone else remember Vettel pulling over at spa to see if Lando was ok after that big crash in the rain ... man got the skill and heart of a true racing driver but at the end of the day still a genuine great guy ... he'll be missed in F1 for shure! legend❤
Seb was also one of the presidents of the GPDA (GP Drivers' Association) from 2010 to 2022. Which makes him the longest serving GPDA director, 1 year longer than his idol Michael Schumacher (1994 to 2005).
I will never be a Ferrari fan ever again solely because of how they treated Seb towards the end of his time with them. Not only did they design a car that didn’t suit him, they created such a hostile environment that clearly affected Seb on an emotional level and subsequently his performance. Glad that AM treated him kindly and he was able to race on (relatively) his terms. We miss you racing Seb! On and off the grid, Seb consistently delivers a masterclass in kindness, class, and wit. The sport will never be as bright, fun, or exciting without people like him in it. 💙❤
Maybe not so surprisingly the video doesn't show how Hamilton was at fault for the crash. Webber complains a lot since he never won a championship, but Vettel gets all the bs by new fans. As someone who has watched for 31 years, he's actually one of the greats.
@@MENQN I wish your favourite driver the best of luck there - they'll have a completely different car, but if he doesn't win a championship there, I wonder if your comment will be the same "wasn't really good enough and didn't win the championship for Ferrari"? I think he might need to win 5 in a row there by your standard though to stand a chance to take the goat title - these are based on your words though, not mine, but let's see in a few years if he has a title for Ferrari or if he's "really not good enough" either?

@@MENQN It's in your own words that a rival "wasn't really good enough and didn't win the championship for Ferrari" - in your own words he's not good enough if he can't take it for them either. Ham wouldn't be fighting for this title against Ver, but rather you are comparing him against Msc and Vet when saying that the championship needs to be at ferrari. If you're new to the sport, there's a driver who has won 5 in a row in the team, so hold your horses with your goat declarations if you are ready to say that a championship needs to be won there, rather than saying bias when it has nothing to do with the drivers that have been there before. Your comments didn't target the recent years but something way before - I hope you understand though that you've declared someone else as a possibly eternal goat already since you've decided that ferrari championships are the key factor, and possibly have declared your favourite driver below quite many other drivers who would otherwise have lesser merits. If you want to keep that definition, please do so, but otherwise you might want to look at some other seasons than those that were on netflix. I'll leave it at that - we can agree that the most ferrari championships one is the goat if you'd like, as that's closer to the truth than you might think.
I remember rooting for Vettel in 2008. Had four straight DNFs to start with, but by god after that he was amazing, especially in the second half when the Toro Rosso developed into arguably the third or fourth best car on the grid. 8th in the standings, only beaten by the top three teams and Alonso''s Renault. Seb's points tally ALONE had him beat RBR in the Constructors (though RBR was a few months off from becoming the dominant force we know at this point).
I have to thank sebastian vettel for bring me into f1 back in 2013 #Dankeseb He was worthy 4 time champion and held a record for 9 wins in a row which of course is broken by max
I don’t think anyone who really knows and loves motor racing forgets people like seb. I don’t have favorite drivers and I respect the talent of drivers I don’t like. Some people think a driver is terrible just because they don’t like them
These people have no clue of f1 or motorsport and sre clearly delusional, haters or fand of drama Queen Hamilton. If Vettel was leeis teammate then seb would have 10 or even Eleven titles ...
I started watching F1 when Seb started in F1 and if I remember correctly he had to fight for his championships but now Lewis & now max there cars are so dominant there’s no fight whatsoever just drive it to the end and they win the championship just nothing like it used to be just my opinion
Personally for me the only driver that should have come close to Michael‘s record but clearly f1 didn’t want 2 Germans at the top of the record books but people will remember what a driver Seb was and what talent just that win in Monza is legend level driving in a DNA Minardi a team that was dead last bought out by Red Bull 2 years before that was just meant to be the B Team wins in Monza and not because of luck because of pure performance and pace simply the greatest drive in f1 history
His signs are SV5 his car's was #15 torro rosso #5 Redbull #1 Redbull #5 Ferrari #5 Aston Martin in Malaysia 2015 an torro rosso & redbull crossing the finish line right behind him kinda showing his path crazy in Baku he was set in between Checo redbull & Gasly Torro rosso/Alpha Tauri so incredible how it happen, he create redbull first 1-2 , Torro rosso first win, Ferrari back to runner up spot, Amr first podium, Redbull first world championship and today being the record holder for so many things no one has done before, Most wins in a season, Grand slam, wins at a single track and the record for all time, being the youngest champ in F1, one more time ,, but here comes Sebastian vettel"
Clearly you weren’t there watching during the early 2010s… there was so much competition amongst the drivers and Seb managed to reign supreme. Unlike in recent years where RB dominate bcuz of their design advantage. Don’t ever disparage Seb’s incredible legacy ever again.

2014 was a massive regulation change for the cars. Then won 3 races and 13 podiums in a Ferrari not designed by Adrian Newey in 2015.
