This is a rather interesting footnote that a steam engine crash (that being another famous steam engine Sir Nigel Gresley) becoming the basis of a visiting diesel's crash in a Railway Series story.
I also remember reading an adaptation of this story on FanFiction archive, except with Spencer in Old Stuck Up's place.
