The reason why PIO and OCI players issue remain relevant is because These players will enable india to compete with top teams in Asia like Japan , Korea , Saudi Arabia etc , we are far far behind in quality as Igor Stimac said we are atleast 15 years behind

We should allow these PIO players ASAP. Because if we play better/ qualify for the world cup lots and lots of people will start supporting Indian football. They will watch Indian football. As a result Indian football will grow. AIFF will generate money, that money will be used in grassroot development. So, this is a process. This needs to start now. Government has to understand the dynamics of the football.

The home grown players are the backbone of our country.Although this would boost our playing level.But home grown players would get less chance.
I dont think AIFF will ever do that! They just opening this route to further the possibilities. They are doing everything they can to grow Indian football, so we should appreciate that.

There will be more competition for available slots. Only Best could play. Coach will have more choices for 1 position.
Just not sure on the commitment of the players when playing for India …. Home grown players staying in country will have more motivation to win for country while oci and pio will get class and experience to the team. So should be a mix for sure.

It is a good thing that pio players play in india but in reality, is it really a good thing to depend on pio players to increase our level.
We have the potential to do it on our own. You know that how much competition is increasing between players nowadays in india.
So after that indian players get less chances to play in his national team, pio players take place from us.
It is just my opinion, pls think about that and pls answer in the next video.

Players who have already played for other nation in senior team can't represent India according to FIFA rules. There are some exceptions though like if any player has played only friendlies then he can change his team. So I don't think sarpreet Singh is eligible.

Growing Grassroot without OCI is very difficult. It will take us 2060 to play next World Cup to grow quality of our players. We have to agree and accept that present players quality is pathetic. Even Sunil Chetri Sir is The Sunil Chetri only in front of SAFF teams. He will get spoiled in front of Japan and Korea.
