It works! I built it more or less like the tutorial instructs and it works! First I did it on the prototyping boards with Arduino Unos. Then I bought plastic enclosures as suggested, but also swapped out the Unos for Nanos so things could be more compact. We're getting some great photos of hummingbirds at the feeder here. Great fun! Very much appreciate the video instruction and tutorial.

You could also use a 555 timer in single shot configuration to trigger the camera... Using two arduinos is way to complicated and expensive... But I like your vids tho :D

But I guess when DSLR camera is left idle for long time, it will go into sleep mode. Will the trigger still work to fire the camera?
