As a chef, onions are integral to a good meat or veggie stock. The problem with Adam, isn’t that he couldn’t cook without onion, it’s that he didn’t want to. All he needed to do was use onion powder to season his meats and they use a whole onion in the pot and pull it out before service. 98% of people who freak out about onions is bc they don’t like the texture, and they might not like the taste of it when they have to chew it, but if Adam could have been more careful but he wanted to be a prick. Adam is an amazing chef, but he’s also a control freak. Ben is too but he still respects his guests wishes

You're courteous and respectful of the staff, listen and obey the safety stuff, and are grateful when the crew tries to really put on a dazzle for you. You're asked for preferences and only ask for a couple of things: don't run out of vodka and no onions in your food. And some douchebag short order cook, whose time and effort you are paying out the nose for, thinks it's funny to put the one damned thing you wanted to avoid in your food three damn times. Were it me in that situation, I'd have a word with the captain and expect that reasonable corrections be made. Here's hoping this Adam clown finds himself working at Denny's on the 3am shift for a few years.
