Holly crap!, I am honored to have you review my creation (I am ScrapMikan14), I've watched your channel for years, and I've only dreamed of being ecnolaged. Thank you so much :)
The pig car's wheel falling off is a reference to the movie. The wheel gets shot off and the main character puts the wheel on his head and becomes the wheel
@thetruetri5106 felt unresponsive with one quantum rudder and two power couplers, I then did two rudders with 4 couplers and it felt almost like piloting a sub but it mainly made it harder to break and WAYYYY harder to rotate and turn at the same time. In other words ✨️jank✨️
I suggest that you have a mech fight with a friend using invisible power couplers to make the illusion that the arms legs and body are floating but its a walking mech
something you may not think about: using multiple strengths of power couplers at once, on the same piece! e.g. 1.0 and 0.5 or some other ratio it might have some interesting properties, a bit like how in real world, there's often multiple different springs used at once, for example
Please do a Space version of the classic video where there’s 2 players in a cargo plane trying to survive as long as possible against 2 players in fighters. Whichever pair lasts longest in their space bomber versus the 2 star fighters wins.
You could try to make a plane where blocks aren’t allowed to be connected to eachother, but you can connect them with power couplings (so you have power couplings in between every block, could be an interesting challenge for a plane)
I played around with car wheels and power couplers, and it seems theres a chance that the car that turns using them is using a weird physics glitch that happens with the couplers. I dont fully understand it myself, but it occurred a lot when building my vehicle with em
12:32 I was so confused what part of this was but after the wheel drops i remember the time the Main lego character becomes the wheel after the wheel falls and now im remembering it
LoL i still wonder why couldnt they use something else like someone else just grab air and build wheels out of it durability though would be 0.00000000000001% @Idkwholmao
Power coupler idea: If the rope of the couplers do not colide with the blocks, you could place a choper servo inside the creation and the choper blades outside of it.
OMG my creation(3:45) made the thumbnail! Awesome! My life is now complete! I just wish you flew it around a bit more, it can move in all direction and strafe by rotating engines! :P (Especially in hover mode, with T) Btw, I was just messing around with power couplers to see if I could use them as bumpers, turns out they don't bend to "tank" hits that well, which made me think they could make solid ground contact instead. I'm actually also using suspensions on this creation otherwise it would struggle with smooth landings a lot more. I also find it pretty funny that this is the 2nd time you feature one of my creations, and both times, despite my best efforts, you were completely confused by its description! lol Edit: If anyone's curious to see it move more, I'm uploading a quick showcase video with the workshop link in description.
Also I still want to see you build a vehicle with power couplings tensioning the suspension together. I'm more curious about vertical tension vs the horizontal tension on the workshop vehicle you found.
Use powered couplers to create a hollow plane with no body in the back so bullets won't affect it. Maybe something like a Lockheed P-38 Lightning, but the elevators are completely on the outside of the plane rather bridging the middle. Instead, more couplers are used to connect the two halves. I suggest using 3 power couplers in an L formation (or 4 in a square formation) when connecting pieces so that connections are supported on multiple axes to prevent bend. You can also add weights to shift the center of mass away from vital pieces, given that you add enough lift to compensate.
I had this idea recently, which I thought could turn out pretty cool. You could build some arresting wires, set them up on the aircraft carrier and try landing a plane with a hook into them
You should use 3 couplers facing in the same direction in a right angle to each other at 1/3 the stiffness to see if they are more stable than 1 coupler at full stiffness
13:42 Pod racers only have that lightning bit between the engines, it doesn't use that to connect to the cockpit. That hotrod creation is totally accurate to the movies.
Cant wait to get home from my vaca and try these bad boys out! First order of business will be flo’s v8 cafe (from cars) the power couplings will be for the neon Although I might want to experiment using these as suspension
I have made a revolutionary discovery. If you get 2 gyros, set one to 10 strength and unbind all inputs, it keeps the plane flying very straight. From there, you can increase the strength of the other to accommodate for the extra resistance. It’s insane because it stops turning the second you stop telling it to
A neat idea would be to follow a pod racer-esk design with a bunch of power couplers attached to props, each separated from each other so that they are a bit floppy and only attached to the main body
Hey scrapman I have an idea for the question you asked at the beginning you could do a dog fight but every block is connected to each other with the power couplers and there shouldn’t be a limit on anything because it gets to crazy numbers for the complexity and parts
wonder when the base game experience will get a solid map. yes i know about downloadable maps, there are some sizable ones, most are built confusingly, and make use of "so much detail" my computer has a hard time letting me actually enjoy the map. ALSO, my favorite is when you hit a connecting "road piece" that's just enough of a jarring angle that your car either gets tossed or breaks apart like you hit a wall. i've tried making my own map things and my problem is changing elevation, it really seems like the pieces available cannot be placed together to allow changing elevation. Nevermind tilting which completely throws the whole thing out of line so one side is like hitting a wall and the other is like a drop off.
13:28 so actually that build is more accurate to how podracers actually work, the power coupling *should* only go between the pods. Go back and watch Episode 1, all the podracer seats are physically attached to the pods with power couplings in-between.
As for you aswell. The power couple is used anyways but is made black so it symbolized a cable/rod. Also it wouldt feel so stiff when driving/flying around.
power coupler idea: versus battle where each and every part has to be connected to eachother with power couplers, so no two parts can touch eachother, there has to be a power coupler inbetween, and no two couplers can have the exact same setting on stiffness.
If you use power coupling to make a plane, you will need to do it ww1 style, as they will act as wires to keep it together, poles with wires will also be needed to keep the wings from going ballistic like that creation. which makes dogfighting progressively more chaotic as it goes on.
The reason for the back thrusters to be on the same controls is because pod racers aren't really meant to go backwards at all, hey just go forward and slow down.
multiplayer idea kinda inspired by that one episode of doctor who that ends up with ww2 spitfires (probably wrong plane) equipped with shields and lasers to defeat dalek invasion Biplane fight but only with propeller power and shields.
How about using power couplings to make a flapping flyer. The thing is you can only have one powered part at each wing, then using the flex of the power coupler you make the motion to fly. Possibly using normal wings and not sails if you move them right should be able to get lift, don't know if you can get forward motion with out sails So normal plane wing on the outer sides and tip and the sails at the back inner should give movement with lift
That first plane seemed to go crazy when it hit the water. Did it throw you really far away really quickly? It was hard to see. Maybe there's an ultra fast travel effect if you spagettify the couplers in the right way. Idea: A plane evolution tournament where no two solid pieces are allowed to touch. Every connection between solid pieces must be a power coupler.
OH MY GOD I WAS EARLY! Anyways. Day 2 of asking Scrapman to battle his friends above Nassau. Making it so you have to deal with: Other trailmakers, the Space Pirates, and the Mega Blasters
When you're talking about the Pod races, you should have like a whoteam fight 2 on 2. If you can make the cockpit, then the other person should be able to make the jets.
For the power coupling planes I think it would be good if you also separated the cockpit + what was separated in the plane from the workshop. Maybe you could do a dogfight or a evolutiony race thingy but if you did the race it would probably be too floppy with the cockpit separated so you would have to connect it. Also I'm sorry I couldn't remember what the evolution race thingy's are called.
Hey ScrapMan, i was think of a video idea, maybe you can do a dogfight where the planes parts are connected only using power couplers. By that i mean that every part that you connect it needs to be connected using only the couplers.
Galgasang here. I made a better version of my Desert Podracer inspired by the Hot Rod Podracer. got rid of the Hoverpads and made it behaive more like a real Podacer
My idea, a plane but you connect NOTHING to the cockpit directly, each part is connected by power couplers, at the root lol. It would make this tail problem SO much worse 🤣🤣🤣
Sometimes your workshop episodes seem to inspire or initiate a multiplayer challenge. As a multi-player 'intro' you guys should do a brief 'show&tell' where you all show a creation that inspired the challenge.
Build a plane with as many power couplers as you can. Between each wing segment, between seat and everything else. That way every single block it attached by them to the rest if it
I honestly wasn't expecting my kinetic sculpture to be in a scrapman video, also, before anyone points it out, yes, i am aware of the missing t in the description, and I will not be changing it, mostly because I don't know how to do that.
Oh heck hey Scrapman, I just realized you can now go back to your recent flying train and change the connections to power couplings
fr
Great idea
☝️🤓
Ye
didnt see this comment until now... ah ha Scrapman could make a sea serpent/dragon as an expansion to this idea
Literally just made those fireworks two nights ago -- did not expect them to actually be in a video! :)
Also, you were right about the servos.
Hello
Nice job dude
Well done
He also said he didn't know what the dynamite was for
Holly crap!, I am honored to have you review my creation (I am ScrapMikan14), I've watched your channel for years, and I've only dreamed of being ecnolaged. Thank you so much :)
You’re a really talented trailmakers builder
The pig car's wheel falling off is a reference to the movie. The wheel gets shot off and the main character puts the wheel on his head and becomes the wheel
YES SOMEONE who has watched the lego movie other than me C:
I would like to see a quantum ruder connected with Power couplers (potentially glitched out ones) and see how that affects a spacecraft
oh yah, this would be wonderful to see
I think the game might die
Imma try it tomorrow morning
@@patrickprice5654 tell me the result when you've done it

10:00 HOLY CRAP THANK YOU FOR REVIEWING MY CREATION SCRAPMAN, I ACTUALLY DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD BE HERE
Ayo nice
YEEAA
Woah
Bro thats such a cool creation
That was actually a pretty epico creation 👍

yess
"you figured out how to control the spaghetti" that was amazing
You are amazing scrapman, I’m always looking forward to your videos. keep up the great work!
There is always that one guy who exploits glitches and chaos in video games to create cool things, and I like it!
Even still they were amazing builds

wow this video helped me when i was in the lowest point of my life! i love the way he just talks in the mic while playing! best video
wow nice comment!
oh geee thanks!!!!
yea ofc
oh wow
what happened here..

9:32 a missed delayed annihilation there. Great video as always!
Edit: There are so many new possibilities in painting creations
with that first creation and how the wings bended, i bet you could make a good ornithopter with it
12:32

I wanna see Scrap and his buddies do some Pod Racing straight out of Star Wars.
biplane with power couplers connecting the top and bottom wings
you can also go overboard and have it with power couplers between every wing
Also I still want to see you build a vehicle with power couplings tensioning the suspension together. I'm more curious about vertical tension vs the horizontal tension on the workshop vehicle you found.
Dogfight with floppy planes might be a goofy concept to play with. Each round stiffness gets worse until you've got winged wet noodles :)

Yo could use those as a leaf spring style suspension system I guess
Those are some awesome creations, can't wait to see what else people can come up with
I just got an idea try landing a plane in a box held by a plane using power coupling
Happy St. Patrick's day Scrapman! I hope you're wearing something green today!

2:10 not just power coupling planes... but Tensegrity Planes.

7:19 is by far my favorite part at that point, he took it's bones
15:33 that's almost an exact copy of one of the podracers from his video with it with a paint job
12:30 BIG movie reference love it
"A little bit of flextion?"🤣8:17
7:30 he made a corvette chassis using them as leaf springs xD
Trailmakers really gives a new meaning to the term "power couple"
A neat idea would be to follow a pod racer-esk design with a bunch of power couplers attached to props, each separated from each other so that they are a bit floppy and only attached to the main body
Ooh you could make a wheel with power couplers as the spokes, or a squishy ball like thing, but that would be more difficult

The anchor block projectile with a timed explosive would be a cool concept for a battle. Sticky arrow pvp
You guys should have a pod racer evolution.
That sounds wild
The dude with the plane is get rekt scrap, I did it first. absolutely gold.
keep up the great work scrap!

I think power coupling planes would be awesome. I posted one on the workshop that is a hybrid between a plane and a pod race called the Aerial podjet
power coupler idea: versus battle where each and every part has to be connected to eachother with power couplers, so no two parts can touch eachother, there has to be a power coupler inbetween, and no two couplers can have the exact same setting on stiffness.
Make Santa's sliegh and reindeer, then compete to deliever presents using the coupling not only for the reins, but for delievery too.
If you use power coupling to make a plane, you will need to do it ww1 style, as they will act as wires to keep it together, poles with wires will also be needed to keep the wings from going ballistic like that creation. which makes dogfighting progressively more chaotic as it goes on.

Biplane fight but only with propeller power and shields.
Not really with the power couplings but you should make some sticky missile tanks like the ballista. I find the ballista’s arrows a really neat idea
How about using power couplings to make a flapping flyer.

You should have a challenge where you guys make chariots that are driven by motorcycles. That actually exists in real life, it's pretty wild to watch
1v1 dogfight but the planes need to have a power couple between each wing 👀👀
didnt this already happen yesterday
A pod racer evolution race might be kind of challenging but I'd love to see it.
I love that finally podracers became popular
That's really cool I wonder if you can make a bird that flaps its wings and flies using power couplings
pls make ornithopter from dune2
Ornithopter*

Making it so you have to deal with:
Other trailmakers, the Space Pirates, and the Mega Blasters
Yo, me & my kids love your videos, PLEASE try out Lightyear Frontier if you get the chance!
If you only add power couplers to the wings and make it so they can't move up and down, you might get an adaptive folding wing like on the F-111
I don't know if it will turn out well, but probably getting some power coupling to hold dynamite. And I guess the rest is yours for the idea.
Try to make a Wheel, like those Airless Tire Concepts with Power Couplings.
