Finally got around to watching it a few months ago. Has amazing performances & it’s directed so fucking well. I appreciated the craft but wasn’t the biggest fan of it. Maybe I’ll give it another try in a few years
Deniro's character in The King of Comedy finally gets his dream job as a late night talk show host, and that is the guy Deniro is playing in Joker. just a thought.
"Why go to restaurants? Your mother makes the best food. You go to restaurants (in Little Italy) you get killed." - great line he should use in a film.
Made 2 short films and currently writing my 1st feature film screenplay. You can say I'm still starting out, but Scorsese has a great influence on me and the way I view cinema and motion pictures.
"Mean Streets." "Taxi Driver." "Raging Bull." "After Hours." "Goodfellas." "Casino." So many... A true American directorial artist. And his mom's marinara is awesome, too.
Johnny Blaze he's putting together digital remasters of all the old stuff. It's slowly being released. The first part that was just released was over 200 remotes. Look it up! It's happening.
Tony Randall as Travis Bickle is amazing. They forgot to mention that Tony actually appeared in The King of Comedy, as the guest host after Jerry gets kidnapped.
He strikes me as the type of guy you could sit down with all night and chat about the romans and all sorts of history, I've heard him mention all kinds of historic things before, he seems knowledgeable.
It's interviews like this one where Conan's talent and intelligence really come through. One artist interviewing another. So much more enjoyable than interviews with dumb Hollywood twats.
That Marty Scorsese, he's a funny guy. MS: What do you mean I'm funny? Of course, I would never address Mr. Scorsese as anything but Mr. Scorsese. We're running out of living legends.
Casino was overrated--it was a lame attempt to replicate the success of "goodfellas". Sharon Stone was the best part of the film. "Taxi driver" is sick. It's violence-porn.
Casino isn't overrated. Your opinion is overrated though. The last scene of taxi driver with all the blood was tonally changed so that it wouldn't look gruesome. That's the kind of film it was. What the fuck are you talking about?

6 years after Goodfellas came out. And it was already iconic. Thats a film for you.
Love the "King of Comedy" shout out; that movie is something special!
Finally got around to watching it a few months ago. Has amazing performances & it’s directed so fucking well. I appreciated the craft but wasn’t the biggest fan of it. Maybe I’ll give it another try in a few years
That movie is just a cheap rip-off of Joker.
Deniro's character in The King of Comedy finally gets his dream job as a late night talk show host, and that is the guy Deniro is playing in Joker. just a thought.
"That thing, Cats!" Oh my God I died 😂
"They come out and they touch you, don't go, don't go!"
Robert Fletcher
I wonder if he has seen the trailer for the film?
"Why go to restaurants? Your mother makes the best food. You go to restaurants (in Little Italy) you get killed."

Scorsese will always be my idol in filmmaking.
you're a filmmaker?
Made 2 short films and currently writing my 1st feature film screenplay. You can say I'm still starting out, but Scorsese has a great influence on me and the way I view cinema and motion pictures.
انت عربي؟ من فين؟
من ليبيا..وانت؟

whats your screenplay is about??
"Mean Streets."
"Taxi Driver."
"Raging Bull."
"After Hours."
"Goodfellas."
"Casino."
So many...
A true American directorial artist.
And his mom's marinara is awesome, too.
After Hours was trash tho
@@DrVonNostrand "Trash" is a harsh judgement. Granted, it's not a stellar mafia movie, Guido, but it stands up. Peace on earth.
His eyebrows are a gift from God.
Your face is a gift from hell. You’re welcome 😉
Conan's?
Conan's comedy skits from back in the days were flat-out brilliant. Somebody should compile a collection of it...it would be gold.
Johnny Blaze he's putting together digital remasters of all the old stuff. It's slowly being released. The first part that was just released was over 200 remotes. Look it up! It's happening.
Yes, he's really good. Tony Randall as Travis Bickle- I died!
Oh my god..TONY RANDALL as Travis Bickle! That's one of the best gags I've ever seen on 'Conan', and Randall's delivery is fucking brilliant.
Tony Randall as Travis Bickle is amazing. They forgot to mention that Tony actually appeared in The King of Comedy, as the guest host after Jerry gets kidnapped.
YES LOL. I was wondering if Martin had ever met Tony. Im guessing he had lol.
He strikes me as the type of guy you could sit down with all night and chat about the romans and all sorts of history, I've heard him mention all kinds of historic things before, he seems knowledgeable.
The only interviewer who thinks and talks the same goddamn high-speed as Martin
The only thing The Irishman is missing - Conan
The true Irishman
10:45 this is still relevant 23 years later
HAHAAA. its so weird how its always been around but its soooo WEIRD
Thanks for the upload!
Don't i have ever seen conan so eager to continue an interview
It's interviews like this one where Conan's talent and intelligence really come through. One artist interviewing another. So much more enjoyable than interviews with dumb Hollywood twats.
That Marty Scorsese, he's a funny guy.
MS: What do you mean I'm funny?
Of course, I would never address Mr. Scorsese as anything but Mr. Scorsese. We're running out of living legends.
The guy was blessed by god and he took it to his threshold
February 20, 1996
Thanks!
The remake of TD is a moment of pure genius!
Great upload
“Are you addressing me? You roughen, you hooligan!”
The taxi driver parody with tony Randall had me howling HAHAHA
Felix really went dark after Oscar
I love Scorsese.....my all time Favorite director ( along with Hitchcock)
Noticing how much of a baby Conan looks. But he’s aged SO gracefully. no matter how mucn he insults himself
Conan looks like a Klan member in this clip
Sadly, he's not.
tylsimys67 tha fuq?
Fun fact: Scorcese started losing eyebrow hair years ago. What you see are dead Caterpillars. He farms them for interviews.
Who else has come here after finding out about the Trojan horse bit on the podcast,?
7:00 wow some1 smoking on tv oh how the days have passed
Just noticed how much he looks like Jimmy Conway in Goodfellas. The haircut , hair colour, suit, even some mannerisms.
That's Jim's Dad!!!!
Why is Martin dressed so ridiculously?
I think it was a joke about how was actually the only one dressed normally.
Toga! Toga! Toga!
Funny how it seems to be a Greek not Roman toga party while having Scorsese as guest.
I'm starting to understand "only I may dance"
Conan talks way more than Martin here, feels like he's talking at rather.
Conan? Looks like obi wad kenobi to me
Do you think Scorsese REALLY never sees any of his films after he’s done making them?...
Martin Scorsese's a little one
@Lucas Chiara Like Cagney & Buster Keaton.
Conan’s talking WAY too much
So a real genius, not a stable one.
Casino was overrated--it was a lame attempt to replicate the success of "goodfellas". Sharon Stone was the best part of the film. "Taxi driver" is sick. It's violence-porn.
Ingmar Bergman once said that the taxi driver is artistic violence in its peak
Dude...
Taxi Driver has like one scene with violence lol
Listen to this little snowflake.
Casino isn't overrated. Your opinion is overrated though. The last scene of taxi driver with all the blood was tonally changed so that it wouldn't look gruesome. That's the kind of film it was. What the fuck are you talking about?
