What a absolutely great time this was! I hope I can FINALLY settle the debate surrounding the 'Kids' Marketed art supplies. We are no longer in a time where Professional markers are Expensive and Exclusive.
There are alternatives and my job is now to show you all what's out there and what decisions we can make to help the next generation of Artists.

I hope you find this video Fun, Informative and Entertaining. If you have any reviews please let me know, if you disagree with me, I am completely open to this and welcome ALL opinions. Never be afraid to disagree.

Have a wonderful day!!! I look forward to seeing you all in the next video.

Hey Everyone, I hope you enjoy the video -
Just a quick note, there was around 6 minutes of video cut out of this where I expanded on my opinions regarding the "Kids" markers. I will likely make a follow up dedicated to this instead, and provide you with alternative recommendations.
I also cut out myself singing "Peaches"
That song bowser sang was crazy
Thanks for the heads up...I love peaches so 😜😂
Love your vids I want to be like you when im older
without your coloring prowess, beginner artists wouldn't notice the frustrating side. but yeah, just seeing the experience, ohuhu still the alpha on this match
i should go with 100 crayola markers and colors of the world markers instead XD for the kid side . the other side look nice for the artist side
Matching an alcohol marker against a water-based one looks a little bit unfair, but i laughed so hard 😂
Very unfair inreed. And zoek kids Linda tuin expensive markers, so IT s Just nog a thing to five kids. Tevens might be a different case...
By far the best 'kids' markers I've used are Crayola Supertips, I'd love to see you comparing those. I love my alcohol markers, but I can use the Supertips in colouring books and get a decent blend with them, especially on smoother papers!
Yes! And plain old water based crayola markers do VERY well on water colour paper.
Using something like a Pentel Aquabrush as a blender for Crayola markers makes them work even better! I’ve gotten honestly professional grade results with them that way
And hasn't he heard of the Crayola colors of the world sets٫ they're actually really good!
Mmmmmm idk, I always liked how exact they could be but found them a bit cumbersome for me personally. The ones I use are connector pens and I have a bunch of Dong-a ones that were sold as a 2 in 1 for each one
oh i didnt know that. i have supertips. somewhere. >.>
I mean, of course I'm not picking the cheap side this time. But it is still fun to see you make very passable art with subpar materials. And I think it is a very nice showcase, both of what a skilled artist can do with any material, and the kind of elevation that you can expect to see when giving professional tools to a skilled artist. This is potentially a great video for parents with young but talented kids looking to make the first jump from schoolhouse markers to artist materials.
You did a great job with the cheap water base pens. It's unfair to compare the two. If you had kids and watched them color, you'd understand why cheap markers are the way to go. 😂 Thanks for sharing. Look forward to the next one.
True I agree it's for kids 1-11 though I wished our parents also bought watercolor paper for those type of cheap markers
Very good Comparison! I really do think that OHUHU takes the win against the other art supplies. You have inspired me so much ADCArtAttack and enhanced my art skills. I’ve learned so much from you as you motivate me☺️
I think for kids 4-10 years old, its worth the cheap ones to let them just color. When they are older say 13-15 and want to advance in thier art, then I'd invest in the better quality markers. As a teenager i used a lot of cheap supplies but it worked while i was learning. Now i have ohuhu markers and my art looks a whole lot better than when i used cheap dollar store markers and pencils.
As usual I'd say ohuhu is a win and I love this cheap vs expensive. Peach is so cute.
Yessss. You've saved this Dad a small fortune 😅
Great vid as per buddy 😊
Honestly, water based markers are fun to use in sketchbooks. They are great when you wanna play around with more blocks of color over blending. I think both are good to have-BUT really SuperTip style water-based markers (like Crayola and even Cra-Z-Art) are better since they can lay down a good chunk of color without destroying the paper. They're also a great tool to use to play with color combinations-getting the saturated colors to pop against one another-a great way to learn and try out colors for a lot of things.
All in all those water-based markers can be good to help in thumbnailing color layout with their vibrancy. This can actually really help in the alcohol marker work through that.
I knew that the Ohuhu Markers would win this battle! But tbh, the kids markers at first watercolors were a little bad but did have, not too bad results.
And that's crazy to see something new and challenging, which is...
Transferring a digital drawing to paper by taping a sheet of paper to the art tablet and adding the library just like that
You can't go wrong with Ohuhu. I got the 72 colour bullet nib set a few years ago and I added the skin tones last year.
ADC your skills make all arts supplies look amazing
ADC, I *finally* got myself some Ohuhu markers and WOW… these things are amazing. I’ve never used alcohol markers on my drawings before and I’m blown away by how good they look.
Thank you so much for introducing me to these markers!
You really need to try using a Pentel Aquabrush with water based markers! Using the waterbrush as a colorless blender for water based markers makes them work so much better
For the overall finish, I certainly liked the Ohuhu side better. BUUUTTT...I did like the bumped up contrast in the hair, and jewels on the Bic side. This is obviously not due to the markers themselves, but the selection of colors you had available.
Hey hey, love your channel man and your work. Would love love love to see you do more original art (characters from your imagination), even when it’s expensive vs cheap and it has to be even. 🤘🏼
Great vid ADC, really enjoy the content 👍🔥
I’m a sketch artist but I enjoy these videos so much
As a teacher, I have to say the cheap sets are great for school poster projects for titles and basic diagrams etc. Having said that, if the child wants to create art, the more expensive ones are a better choice.
i like the ohuhu one, but i actually also like how you colored the right side too. i think you did an amazing job.
can you do another colouring book up grade :D ?
I always love your videos. You are a great artist and your humour is lovely.
I’m impressed with how well you hid the streaks with the water based markers. 🎉
As soon as i saw this video i clicked
Same lol
You should now do a whole colored pencil series, cheap vs. the most expensive, love the art as always and that Bic side, oh my, your right parents shouldn't buy their children cheap just get them some decent stuff to start.
Thanks for your videos we have enjoyed y watching a lot of them. I like the peach video. We would love to see more Mario and Pokémon characters. We like the cheaper verses expensive videos. Especially when it’s a kid friendly topic that our whole family can enjoy together. Thanks
I would argue there's a middle ground between pro and kids supplies. My choice would be an ohuhus older sets or or one of the cheaper alcohol markers to start 🤔
Ps I need that set of ohuhu markers 😂❤
haha, love you man, you're so funny! Crayola Supertips next??
I love your art so much your the best artist iv seen on youtube and my fav youtuber artist keep up the good work, and could your next vid be drawing rick from rick and morty in ten different styles.
I love those ohulu markers i bought after you did the first video on then. I needed a cheaper alternative to my copics for some of my art work. But i love watching all you videos, it reminds me that art is still fun and helps me push from being an amateur artist to hopefully a pro. Thank you and keep making videos
Do the Ohuhu last a long time? I've heard sometimes they send you dried-out ones (at least that's what a few friends told me). The new package looks nice, similar to Copics but that also adds to the price I imagine.
@@mchlup none have been dried out yet, and i only just started using them due to working overnights full time and being a father of 3 full time so you can say my art is my part time part time job but the are great
@@ArtByRjD Thanks for getting back to me.
@@mchlup no problem
Impressed with what you managed to do with the cheep markers.
The cheap side looks more stylized and I like your work on her face on that side too. Definitely not better, but with merits. Probably the artist.
I don't follow your twitch much since your usually live when I'm asleep I think this is the first time I've seen your PC nice rig bro
The Ohuhu markers are so awesome :D I Hope there will be a set with the new broad nib and a brush nib, soon :D
As a Kid I had Stabilo Pen 68 Markers. In my memories they were really good and it would be cool to see them in a cheap vs. expensive comparison :D
those Ohuhu, just... yeah, I love them... someday I will have to learn to use brush nibs.
Can you compare cheap waterbased Markers with expensive waterbased Markers. I think, that could be interesting, too.
I would love for you to upload just one stream for people like me whose internet is terrible and can't watch your livestream. Just one where you do a drawing, start to finish that includes skin tones! I learn a lot by watching you but I can't ever watch you at home where I can draw too. Just one, that's all I'm asking for lol
What you did with a pack of kids' markers is pretty impressive. I'm still buying the cheap ones for my niece for a while, though.
Despite how trash they were i kinda liked how harsh the coloring was on the bic markers for the dress atleast.... other than that left side all the way. Nice job :D
Great video, as always! I've learned a lot watching you color your drawings with pencils (I have the Polychromos) and markers. Question: What are your opinions on Faber-Castell Pitt Artist Pen Brushes (markers)? I think I haven't seen a "Which is Worth it?" video with Pitt pens.
The blending is obviously better with the Ohuhu but with your talent the kids markers look good.
the skin tone on the kids markers side is actually decent
I'd say if you are buying for kids maybe get them the cheap ones first and if they treat the pens right, as in not destroying them, then you can buy the better ones. 🙂
Great job.. and from far away the kids marker doesn't look to bad.. lol 😂
I would love to see a kingdom hearts drawing/painting from you!
I'd love to see some more style swaps
ohuhu do have water based markers too, maybe use them against another water based marker.
Maybe a better comparison would be the Ohuhu water-based markers against these? I know you probably don't have the set, but it might be fun to see how their water-based set stack up against the Crayola?? Also because most parents will probably lean away from giving theirs little ones alcohol based markers lol. Loved the video as always! 💗🍑
I love your videos I wanna be like you when I’m older
Even though it's not the best looking it still looks good
As a mom of three I'd say it depends on the age of the child. Small kids will leave markers open to dry or push too hard and ruin them. But if an older child wants to create art then you might want to invest.
The Bic side reminds me of a freeze frame from DBZ or something. Definitely prefer the higher quality but the cheaper side has a place somewhere I’m sure
These are two different mediums and I wouldn't say they are comparable.. Would you maybe try out expensive water-based markers vs cheap water-based?
I know it's still not ideal for the Bic markers, but I wonder if they'd possibly blend decently with a water brush?
Hahaha so nicce drawing loved it
Can you make a video on combining two separate brands alcohol marker and look if they work together? Like base color copic and blending ontop with ohuhu?
Water based marker (children) are the worst but you always make from a terrible art supply something magic ! Thank you
Have you ever used water with water based markers? With certain ones (Crayola) can be fun.
Can you please make and color someone from the live action Titans?? My personal favourites are Raven, Beast Boy and Starfire
Left side is amazing
Once my kid learns how to apply appropriate pressure and learn to lose the markers. Ohuhu for sure.
Hello from Bakersfield California
You should do a Demon Slayer in different styles video. Think that would look awesome
I got so many notifications on the subject of Mario 😂
I would like to see the ohuhu water based markers compared in this series.
Wait so if the bic pens are water based, is it possible to wet a brush and spread the pigment?
You keep making me want to buy the Kaala markers and I already have so many Honolulu 😭
you should do crayola markers vs sharpies vs pro markers
Hey ADC, what do you use to do your line work?
I’ve been using a black ultra fine tip Sharpie and the line work isn’t as clean as I would like 😩
(Im just getting back into drawing again)
The right side isn't that bad, the under drawing looks good so the final product looks good,
Would love to see OLO vs Ohuhu
I'm also a big Ohuhu fan 💜
I like the cheap ones as far as for the face. the color of her face looks better than the expensive side.
I am surprised that you got that result with the kids markers
You should draw a character in 10 different styles but you can only use one colour
Ohuhu all the way, but the bic markers be great for children that are just learning art and slowly move them to more professional like markers if art is their big thing.
Thank you adc art attack ainspired me to do art and I just love you your videos but you
The $1 one looks better in my opinion
I feel like kids markers arent for 'children' who are serious about their drawings but for toddlers who are rough on them and ruin them.
Honestly this isn't a fair vs. I'd rather see your opinion on Ohuhu's 100ct watercolor fine liner/brush markers vs the kids set. At least it's be water based vs water based at that point. I use it specifically for my travelling sketch book.
Water based markers are not designed to be stacked with two much colours unlike alcohol markers (( only can be 2 or 3 colours maximum ))
Kids art Supplies simply just a
introduction to world of art
Can you put your affiliate link for the Ohuhu Markers again?
Hi
Honestly if you gave me that exact picture and the most expensive markers out there and it would probably look worse than the cheap side
I buy my 6yr old daughter Crayola markers because she has lost markers in the past and then she hares them with her friends and cousins when they are over so I'd rather buy the cheaper ones for them because they're not going to respect the art supplies. I do prefer Crayola as they are more washable from my experience and are slightly better to use compared to the super cheap stuff. Once she is older and has the appreciation for the art supplies and respect for her things then I'll shell out more money for better supplies.
For them waterbased to be such a headache, you actually pulled out the beauty in em.
Definitely Ohuhu
The number one reason to give kids cheap water based markers? Because kids end up colouring themselves, their clothes, and pretty much anything but the paper they started on.
If my daughter stopped drawing on herself instead of paper or leaving the lids off all of her pens I'd get her ohuhu markers like mine but for now cheap felts 😂 My Son however, he has his own Ohuhu markers. 😊
Ohuhu markers are great budget friendly markers
Still surprised that you were able to make kids' markers look so good...
I wish Ohuhu was available in my country unu
Do you Come from the Netherlands or not
I did
What do you expect for the price?
Test 2 water based markers against eachother, some parents worry about their children when it comes to the alcohol fumes. Some schools won't allow them due to that reason.
I understand that, I will try to tackle this in a future video :)
do pastel marker
Super Mario movie was a dub, the hair on the bad one wasn’t bad but expensive way better.
Ok I love drawing/art and I am a parent. I'm not buying quality expensive markers for a child that only draws once a month. I would if the level of interest was there. Argument would stand... Would he had drawn more if he had better markers?? We will never know.. what I do know is he no longer draws at 19.
