- The Braai Brothers go head to head again to decide the Rugby Championship 2024. It should be an absolute belter! Here's my thoughts on Argentina's selection and a Combined 23 man squad which indicates the balance of power between the two.
The Boks defense will have to be 100%.
Yes, we've been losing the plot on the outside, some guys shooting up too fast, leaving gaps to run around, and Argentina have the speed, as they showed last week. I'm sure though, that won't be ignored by Rassie & co.
As a Saffa, I am really very happy for Argentina, come win or lose, the conversation come the final desciding week iinvolves Argentina versus ....

@kevinewert8546 The first half was almost like 2 halves but no I mean the majority of points, the tries will all be in the second rather than in the first half meaning how the Boks started the game is how they will end the game this time.
Will Argentina be able to pull off 17 minutes of scoring this time round, I don't think so. The Boks left 4 or 5 try scoring opportunities on the field and still could've won with a simple penalty kick, I don't think it'll be that close this time and just in case, they've got Pollard on the bench.
@@groenrizla2513 I doubt that hugely. I thought we didn’t take opportunities in the first half because we were asking Pollard to do stuff he is average at. I thought that we didn’t finish the match because we were asking Manie to do stuff that he is average at. I think that had we had Manie’s instinct, distribution, and in-play kicking in the first half we would’ve turned more half-opportunities into full-blown opportunities. Had we had Polly’s calm thoughtfulness, game management, and titanium balls in the second half, we would’ve closed the game down. I think you use the right tool for the job.

I believe the Springboks are going to win by 20. Argentina can't run without the ball. I believe the Springboks forwards are going to be too strong for Argentina keeping it tight in the forwards and releasing their backline when the opportunity arises.

It's not jingoistic, but those Argentinian boys are not a match for the Boks at their best, which we haven't yet figured out. It's wild but we've been winning handsomely with experimental sides thus far and lost when fielding what amount to B sides, with World Champions in the mix! Mathematically this may be a title decider, but realistically it's not. As well as the Pumas have played they are not about to beat South Africa by 19 clear points away from home, picking up a bonus point by scoring 4 tries and keeping the Bokke to a maximum of 3 tries.
It's not going to happen, definitely not in South Africa, even if the Boks had a player sent off.
I expect the ABs to destroy the Wallabies and come second in the table.

In the Rugby Championship, other than in other tournaments, a bonus point is awarded for 3 more tries than the opponent.
Not for 4 tries. Neither does a loosing team get a bonus point for 4 tries.

We've never imported Zimbabweans - the fact is, guys like Beast came here very young, to find work, had been here for many years and started playing for a local club at first, before he was noticed. He simply earned his place with hard graft.
