7:10 Regards losing a rod, a few years back I lost a near new rod and real fishing at anchor off the West Coast of Auckland. After this I just wanted to go home so pulled the anchor in and what ever took my gear wrapped itself around the anchor line before breaking off. Sent the real off for servicing and it came back good as new.

Very true! not sure what happened there we spool them under heavy drag so very confusing why it happened
@@MarkCotton Certainly is a mystery if spooled correctly under pressure and checked periodically during the spool up process against the drag likely to be pulling which can be up to 60% once the fish settles down.

I've caught 1000's of tuna on a handline while driving the boat at the same time. I've never heard someone make so much fuss about winding in a little fish 🐈.
