@@sundeep18 100% man. I remember Chris Rock had a bit about it on one of his failed shows and I can never find it, I think it got scrubbed from the internet.
He was like, "Is he really that good? I mean is he better than Tmac....Vince...AI?...Ray Allen..."
Imagine being a GM with every NBA player in history to draft from, I can't imagine taking Kobe top 20.
You for real taking him over David Robinson? Nique? Barkley? Malone? Hakeem? Shaq? Bird? Magic?
And thats just the people I've seen play, I can't speak on the old old heads like Kareem, Wilt, Pistol Pete, Bernard Kings, and I probably left off like 20+ other legends.
Its crazy how people rewrite history
I'm so glad that I didn't take this era for granted when I was kid.
It just wasn’t fair lol
It really wasn't. That's why hack-a-shaq was invented, prevent Shaq from reaching the no-charge zone at all costs
That was exactly how it felt back then when I watched him. He just broke the game. If he was down in the post, the hardest part was getting the ball into his hands, after that it was barbecued chicken.
When Shaq did Dudley dirty that was the best 😂
Dudley super smart, I’d throw a ball at Shaq if he was a few hundred feet away and there were enough people between us to guarantee I didn’t die
Doesn’t matter what era
What the rules are
Who is guarding him
Prime Shaq is unguardable, unstoppable, and has no equal
😂
Amen. Starting Center of all-time!
True 💯
Yeah, I forgot about prime Shaq…might swap out Kareem as my all-time starting 5…as sacrilegious as that seems. Prime diesel was all conquering.
THA MOST DOMINANT BIG MAN WE MAY EVER SEE AND GET THIS HE WAS "LAZY" THROUGHOUT HIS CAREER...
Shaq = Embid x 2 😂
x10😹
A man playing against kids. His footwork is really underrated.
THATS NOT FOOTWORK ITS STEP THROUGH. FOOTWORK IS WHAT OLAJUWON HAVE.
Dikembe was fighting for his life😂
Prime Diesel was just a monster.. Big guy that played BIG!
“Barbecue Chicken.”
Entire team is babies
He would clobber todays NBA
He would get ejected each game because league became too soft
I wish Kobe and Shaq stayed together for a few more seasons cause they could’ve won more than 3 imo despite losing to Detroit in 2004. That late 90s early 2000s Lakers squad was a force to be reckoned with in the Western Conference.
Just get out of the effing way! 🤦🏽♂️
Shaq abused Mutombo in that series ☠️
I was only 8 but I vividly remember seeing Dikembe getting man handled in the paint lol
I was rooting for AI and the Sixers. I have a lot of respect for Mutombo. Shaq owned him that series 😢
Fair play to Dudley. At a certain point you just have to say it.
I swear his footwork is so underrated and forgotten
No it isn’t
@nigabastard1268. I would definitely say that it is. Shaq always gets credit for "being big". But rarely does he get credit for how fundemental and quality his footwork was in the post. He was not Hakeem, but he had way better post footwork then most other centers
@@Biggiiful maybe to common morons that don’t watch/know basketball..but people that play basketball and actual fans of basketball know how good is footwork is and acknowledge it. It’s pretty obvious when you watch him..he gets around guys quickly..it sticks out
@@nigabastard1268 SHAQ HAD DECENT BABY HOOK AND STEP THROUGH BUT NOT GREAT FOOTWORK OR CONTRA MOVES. HE ALSO DIP HIS SHOULEDR THAT WAS ILLEGAL IN WILT AND LATER JABBAR ERA
@@PIP...33 Shaq had 50+ lbs on Wilt…. He’s getting ragdolled too
His footwork was crazy. That’s how he gets to those vicious dunks
You gotta respect Dudley. He did what he was supposed to do. You're a man first
If shaq play today games you will need 5 ambulance for safety purposes
The UN would call for a cease fire
they tried to set up those same plays with Dwight Howard. Lol dude was trash
They were all special in that late 80's & 90's era. Many great talents immerged around this time. Shaq was definitely one of them.
Shaq was just unfair!
They had to invent the “hack-a-Shaq” rule for him.
They even had to change the backboards for because of him lol.
1:39 you are absolutely correct! Lol it wasn’t fair at all! Lol
Lakers Shaq shoulda average 62 pts a game... That was the most dominate force I've personally ever seen play the game. He coulda had over 50,000 career points if he wanted to.
Next to Kobe, that backboard was the second hardest working guy in the game.
Lol gang. Bro was literally hanging on by a thread. Definitely thinking about how much longer he had in his backboard career.
I stopped watching the NBA for a few years in the early 2000's because Shaq was so dominant it was a joke.
Then 20yrs later everyone wants to talk about how good Kobe was, its weird. How can anyone who played with this Monster be in GOAT conversations ahead of this Monster...it makes no sense.
Facts! You know Laker Kobe fans though, they are delusional. They downplay Shaq to uplift Kobe. I rank Shaq higher than Kobe in the all-time list just because Shaq's peak was so dominant that Kobe's -- Kobe only has him on longevity.
@@moneyball647 Yeah, and if you want to be brutally honest with the longevity stuff, they propped Kobe up his last couple seasons like Weekend At Bernies just so he could pass Mike in scoring. I think the guy was shooting in the 30's% from the field at pretty high volume.
Also, Shaq played 3 years of college...
And if you really want to be honest, Kobe made blood doping "cool" in the NBA. They even called that "going to Germany" to get your "blood spun" the "Kobe treatment". Which later CP3 and Steph ect would adopt as a normal practice.
Ain't no big of today would stop Shaq Diesel
No big ever could stop Shaq 🤡
@@CreativeBigL you the clown. You just repeating what I'm saying
@@CreativeBigL The Dream...
video shows he wasnt all power. he had all the post moves, fakes, and knew how to finish around the basket
I remember Shaq in Orlando. He wasn’t this beast yet. It’s like he got twice as strong when he was in LA. All these strong centers that had used body position and technique to slow him down before were suddenly helpless to stop him now. He was really scary for those 4 or 5 years.
Roids. PEDs were prominent and common in all sports in the 90s and early 2000s. Ask any athlete from any sport
How shaq did Dudley he could do that to anyone in todays nba
Pretty much the last of straight bullying opposing teams big men in the paint
Dwight bullied people, he just didn’t have the touch around the rim
Man i remember how Shaq punished Mutombo in that finals 😮
1:43 i feel bad for chet holmgren
3:42 SHEEEEESH!!! 🤯🤯🤯
Shaq was insane, the most powerful and dominating big man of this era.
Most dominant player not named Wilt Chamberlain.
And yes Shaq and Wilt were more dominant than MJ easily.
Only Shaq and Wilt can say the NBA changed the rules to make the game harder for them.
While MJ can only say the NBA changed the rules to make the game easier for him.
Wilt even said this to MJ's face, and Mike just remained silent.
He wasn’t worth of a reply.
Jealous Wilt.
Disappears when it matters, the playoffs.
Couldn’t free throw lol
50% when no one is trying to stop you is pretty lame.
Just like the other one in the video.
Nobody can defend Oneal 1on1... Except Yao Ming😂
Absolutely not sir....
Ben Wallace was the one that gave Shaq grief
Shaq did Dudley wrong and I love him for it!
as a die hard Knicks fan, I still get a great laugh on the SHAQ dunk to Dudley at 1:38, he boomed him right in the mouth. the entire Knicks team and Latrell Spreewell walking up were cracking up!
I remember that too, mad AF like Dudley was but..
You could hear that man struggling to hold his ground, literally nothing else he could have done 😅
Lakers Shaq was the best Shaq and I grew up in Orlando and loved his time there as well
Shaq is Godzilla and the NBA is Tokyo. All we need is the Godzilla theme playing behind the video.
To me watching this
This shows Kobe got 3 free rings!!
Dump it to Shaq get out the way no center could guard This Shaq
you are so wrong but its fine
@@ervissejdinaj7666 how?
@@ervissejdinaj7666 nigga. HE IS SOOO RIGHT!!😂. Are you blind? Matter of fact. You probably wasn’t alive and watched it live. Shaq did this 90% of the time his first 10 years in the league
@@cojack636 because your judgment is flawed and based on highlights. Kobe was just as important to the team if not more.
@@ervissejdinaj7666 Shaq was clearly way better than Kobe in those 3-peats. The numbers DO NOT LIE. Shaq's peak is better than Kobe's peak career-wise and individually. These are the facts.
Was Kobe helpful? absolutely.
Kobe's best stretch ranking is 514.4
Shaq is 569.0
Best individual season?
Kobe is ranked 27th at 119.1
Shaq's best is 3rd all-time at 134.6
to put that in perspective
Brons best individual score is 130.2 ranked 8th
MJ is ranked 1st and 2nd with 154.8 and 137.7
It's weird seeing Shaq and Rodman on the same team 😂😅
If Dikembe can't guard you on the post, no one can. Love Dikembe but Sixers would have been better off with a center who has more offense coz any defense on prime Shaq won't work anyways.
