Just found your channel and your testing the Peugeot 408 a car I might lease shortly. My Grandfather had the same name as yourself he was from county Cork born 1878.
For the first time since the 406/406 Coupe and 306 generations Peugeot have produced a car I’d actually want to own. Looks good in red too. I think I’d prefer this as a great alternative to yet another SUV…
Absolutely, the more complexity you add in the more challenging it becomes. The only things I'll say is that modern cars do last longer in terms of mileage covered but ultimately all it takes is one break when they're older to take one out.
The red colour does nothing for the rear bumper which is also the piece I'm really not a fan of. However I've seen it in alternative colours and it isn't as noticeable. But I do agree, it looks a little off which is a pity as the front end looks brilliant.
The 508 is handsome in its own right but compared to this doubly so 🙃 The black plastic trim faux SUV stuff is woeful looking. Interior looks fabulous though.
It's a hard one to call in terms of it being an faux SUV as it's not in some senses, ride height is SUV like but the roof height is more like a hatchback......but yes, the 508 is just brilliant looking still.
I'm loving mine. I just love the 3 cylinder growl and the tech on board is amazing.
Peugeot have seriously upped their design game with recent models. Passed some on the road & I always give a second glance!
Build quality is there now too backing up the looks. The 408 will suit a lot of people
Hello sir love the vids

Thanks for answering my question on the towing capacity.

It's a nice blend of the best bits of all the different bodystyles. I quiet liked it. Would be interested to try out the PHEV.
Good job. Loving the new HD!! 👍🏼
Thanks 👍 I was wondering if anyone would pick up on the improved quality.
Ya couldn’t miss it 👍🏼👍🏼
In my humble opinion you can stick turbos and superchargers wherever you may but you can't beat CCs especially when it comes to engine longevity

Good review John, not a fan of the back of the car.
I think the colour does it no favours, I saw it in a nice blue which looked a lot better
I am a big Peugeot fan but I think they could have done better with the rear bumper. Citroen C5X seems to have a better finished rear end.

another 100k motor, scrap afterwards...
Time will tell, I don't know anyone that's had an issue with the small displacement turbo charged engines .
