I'm 17, almost 18, I absolutely love Nintendo, and consider this, Nintendo is what changed the generation of games, from handhelds, to the oh so common Wii, it inspired both Sony and Microsoft to enable the player access to the activities like with the Sony Move and the Kinect. All inspired by Nintendo. Now consider this, Nintendo has made it clear that they are yet again changing the generation of game play. You seemed accustomed to hard core gaming which in it's right it fair enough.
Pretty cool. I love how Nintendo is communicating with their fans by keeping them updated and such. It really is great, especially because now I don't have to Google every game to find out which are going to be on the Wii U and when they will be released. I can just watch these videos if I wanted to. Convenience at its best :D
Dude even I play games like Halo but STILL love and play Nintendo games. There's so much quality in them. Just because kids enjoy them doesn't mean they're not designed specifically FOR them.
Ninja Gaiden 3 - Razor's Edge has been among my most played and enjoyed Wii U games already. The Momiji DLC which is already out makes the game even better. Kasumi will be making a first appearance in the weapon based action game. That will be pretty epic for fans of Dead or Alive and Ninja Gaiden!!!
It will eventually be ported to Wii U. 6 months or so after it comes out. Wont be the best version cause it wasnt built using the Wii U it was built for Xbox360/PS3.
This is the 3DS all over again. Everyone said it was going to fail the moment (and I quote from an Amazon review) "the glorious PS Vita is released." Well, look where we are now: As of June 2012, PS Vita has only sold 2.2 million units. In one week, the PSP outsold it. It has a totally crappy library with hardly any 1st party games. As of June 2012, Nintendo 3DS has sold 22 million units. It has a really strong library as well as some really amazing first party games. Doomed indeed.
5:12 It looks like a parody of The Shawshank Redemption. He calls the inmate Blue (Morgan Freeman's character in Shawshank was Red), you see he gave an inmate a fishing line (because Red in Shawshank was a man that "knew how to get things") and at 5:16 you'll notice the inmate in the background dump rocks from his pants (which is what Tim Robbin's character Andy Dufresne did to hide the rock he dug up from his cell). The Morgan Freeman voice acting was the icing on the cake.
I used to be a kid so I only played violent games to try and prove myself as cool. But then I grew up and I realized fun and creativity were more important to games.
I just hope there will at least be more games announced soon. They already missed an opportunity for Christmas sales. And if they miss January, it'll be like the Vita and 3DS.
I like Nintendo and their games and i'm teen, does that makes me a kid? No. Does that makes me childish? No. Does it make me a better person? Yes. Does it gives me so much memories that i will remember forever? Yes. Is CoD and Halo any better? No. So shut up about it.
Okay, first off. It rarely freezes, it usually only freeze when you try to put a disc in when it's on a loading screen, or when you're trying to do too many things at once. And the gamepad links to the console very well, the only times it ever happens to me is sometimes the disconnection notice comes up when I choose the wii menu, even though it's supposed to turn off anyway. The Wii U doesn't wobble, unless you have a rough or bumpy shelf surfaces, it sits on a shelf very well
The October one was on my Birthday! and the one in Japan on that day had new Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon footage! (Or, as it is called in Japan, Luigi Mansion 2)
The pro controller isn't a necessity to play games like black ops or ME3, the gamepad is comfortable to hold and is meant to be suitable for that type of gameplay. They shouldve put a headset jack on the pro, but whatever.
All I'm saying is a new Zelda, 3D Mario, and Smash Bros game trailer is fitting for E3. They may have a few surprises in these but nothing too major. All their big announcements are always at E3.
Again, wrong. The engines from the original to Melee may have been similar, but Brawl was completely overhauled to support physics and more dynamic animations. Besides the game engine, there is the creative process where Nintendo thinks of characters, stages, etc. and codes them into the game. They also have to compose the music (much of Brawl's was orchestrated.) Finally, they are making TWO versions of this game, one for Wii U and one for 3DS. Basically you just need to give them time.
The street view thing would be even cooler if the wii fit would be compatible with it. You walk on the wii fit and as u walk you walk in the street view as well choosing where to turn with the gamepad.
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon! Yay!! Please put a demo in the eShop this holiday season! You already told us at E3 the game would come in the holiday season, so please at least give us a demo to hold us over until the release! PLEASE!! There were demos at special events this year, so there must be a way to put the demo into a downloadable format!
It's the kind of game that makes you think. I don't really know what it is, but the game has so much personality to it. Because there will be 7 pikmin types, the gameplay should stay fresh.
I agree, Wart would be cool. We haven't seem him in years. BUT a reviewer said NOT to use the Capture Princess Peace tactic. And I couldn't agree more. That has been used for 20+ years now, and although the concpet is still good, a new tactic can be very benifitial. Like you said smb2 didn't involve saving peach, peach was PLAYABLE!
pikmin 3 looks like a freaking pixar movie wow. it has the best graphic than i have ever seen on any console. i guess the wii u is much more powerful than we thought. yes
Give them a break. They're not professional speakers or anything, they're just regular people who work at Nintendo, and they're probably too busy doing their actual work during the rest of the day to bother memorizing a script. Nintendo is actually pretty unique in the fact that both their CEO (Mr. Iwata), COO (Reggie), and some developers actually do all of this PR type stuff themselves instead of having a spokesperson or actors to do it for them.
I love Nintendo's sense of humor!! I'm really excited for Lego City Undercover, Game & Wario, and Pikmin 3!! So many games coming out next year for Wii U!! The Wonderful 101 might be good but it is a Pikmin clone though.
Nintendo Man... You care a lot about the Producers and Presidents and feel they care about the fans too. It's like they're not doing it for profits... but for our fun.. Long live Nintendo
I'm pretty sure it's coming out in may that's what gamestop has posted on their site and if you really want it you can buy the Japanese version that came out not long ago :D
It's not actually him. It's really this guy called Josh Robert Thompson who plays the voice of Geoff Peterson on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson and is known for his incredible Morgan Freeman impression.
Just because a game has a kiddy art style, doesn't necessarily mean its only for kids. There are plenty of teens & adults I know who are massive fans of Pikmin & Kirby.
I love how nintendo has such a variety game library, they went from cartoonish games to ninja gaiden 3, luigi's mansion and brain age to fire emblem, you never see this with sony and microsoft, all they have is BLOOOOOOOD GUTS AND BRAINS, hardly any variety besides little big planet and modnation
Not all though. Plenty of Nintendo games have been given a Teen rating & a select few to receive an M rating. Teen: Sin & Punishment (and Star Successor), Twilight Princess, Metroid games, Xenoblade chronicles, Hotel Dusk: Room 215, Trace Memory, Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance & Fire Emblem: Awakening, Melee & Brawl Mature: Enternal Darkness, Geist, Dynamic Slash, Bayonetta 2
Everyone can agree that Nintendo is the only company of the three that really care about the fans, and have a sense of humor.
Wariofan64 That is so, so true.
Yes!
Xbox is starting to
This has changed
Really?
Good Lord, that Mii person is actually amazing
Nintendo is always about fun.... just don't forget to keep that on your games, Nintendo! :D
R.I.P. Lego Iwata,
😢😢 No real Iwata!!
"and we got something for your body" my body is always ready :)
lol
I'm 25, and I like Nintendo. They make good games, I don't see what your problem is.
"It'll be a while before he comes back..." ... DID REGGIE JUST KILL THAT MAN?!
lol
"It'll be a while before he comes back" Oh my...
2:47
Lego Iwata staring at a carrot...
this is really a meme for Nintendo...
2:47
Mario's lego president was staring at a carrot.... BRILLIANT!!!
5:25 Flying LEGO

Probably, then again, I own and play on the 360 :P But the difference is, I'm a gamer and I love playing games no matter what console they're on.
Pretty cool. I love how Nintendo is communicating with their fans by keeping them updated and such. It really is great, especially because now I don't have to Google every game to find out which are going to be on the Wii U and when they will be released. Dude even I play games like Halo but STILL love and play Nintendo games. There's so much quality in them. Just because kids enjoy them doesn't mean they're not designed specifically FOR them.
the water effects on pikmin 3 are very good, and i'm happy to see free downloadable content :)
You know, Ninja's don't use all those weapons. The weapons the characters are using are mainly used by Samuri warriors.
OH SNAP!
Harmo Knight! Didn't think that game would even get over here :o
It will eventually be ported to Wii U. 6 months or so after it comes out. Wont be the best version cause it wasnt built using the Wii U it was built for Xbox360/PS3.
i've been playing Nintendo for ages
and i'll never hate it.
i heard from somewhere the AC:NL is coming out in the 2nd quarter of 2013 in australia so if you're in the US you'll get it a bit earlier than that
This is the 3DS all over again. Everyone said it was going to fail the moment (and I quote from an Amazon review) "the glorious PS Vita is released." Well, look where we are now:
As of June 2012, PS Vita has only sold 2.2 million units. In one week, the PSP outsold it. It has a totally crappy library with hardly any 1st party games.

Doomed indeed.
Love how Iwata demonstrates a lot of Wii U stuff.
omg that 9-volt mode in Game & Wario is GENIUS
5:12 It looks like a parody of The Shawshank Redemption. He calls the inmate Blue (Morgan Freeman's character in Shawshank was Red), you see he gave an inmate a fishing line (because Red in Shawshank was a man that "knew how to get things") and at 5:16 you'll notice the inmate in the background dump rocks from his pants (which is what Tim Robbin's character Andy Dufresne did to hide the rock he dug up from his cell).
The Morgan Freeman voice acting was the icing on the cake.
I'm 34 years old, and I still play Wii games. That doesn't make me a kid just because I'm interested in more than brown shooters.
pikmin 3 was originally developed for wii as well, so it's basically using under 20% of what the wii u can do
I used to be a kid so I only played violent games to try and prove myself as cool. But then I grew up and I realized fun and creativity were more important to games.
I just hope there will at least be more games announced soon. They already missed an opportunity for Christmas sales. And if they miss January, it'll be like the Vita and 3DS.
oh god... i nintendo keeps reminding me why i friggin love nintendo so much :O ....
GOOD JOB... !! thanks nintendo... *sheds a manly tear*
the output port for the wiiu is 1.5 which can support 3d so hopefully we can see future titles fron 3ds on the wiiu
I like Nintendo and their games and i'm teen, does that makes me a kid? No. Does that makes me childish? No. Does it make me a better person? Yes. Does it gives me so much memories that i will remember forever? Yes. Is CoD and Halo any better? No.
So shut up about it.
The date is completely set. It has a date of Q2 of 2013 I believe, which is April through June. Pretty much Spring 2013 like Pikmin 3.
The Wii U doesn't wobble, unless you have a rough or bumpy shelf surfaces, it sits on a shelf very well
Came back now 9 years later.
I'm 27, almost 28 years old... I play Nintendo and PC over other consoles. Games are games, it don't matter what console they are on.
I wish they'd announce some of 2013's big multiplatform titles, like WatchDogs, Bioshock Infinite, GTA V, and Tomb Raider.
The October one was on my Birthday! and the one in Japan on that day had new Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon footage! (Or, as it is called in Japan, Luigi Mansion 2)
I don't typically play Nintendo consoles anymore (I still play my Gameboy when it comes to Nintendo) but man, Reggie is a cool dude.
Pikmin looks phenomenal. I was hoping to hear about some resident evil. Living my Wii U.
I want to play a ton of those games bad! Luigi's Mansion is 1 of them.
Awesome pikmin 3 footage and info on ninja gaiden 3
Can't wait for the next one. I want more pikmin news but I still want stuff to be secretive. Can I have both?
Man, if Reggie goes to every launch for systems and big games at the Nintendo Store, I'd fly out to NYC for that.
The guy talking about Game and Wario got his face stuck while doing his Steven Colbert impression.
Again, wrong. The engines from the original to Melee may have been similar, but Brawl was completely overhauled to support physics and more dynamic animations. Besides the game engine, there is the creative process where Nintendo thinks of characters, stages, etc. and codes them into the game. Your mii followed you home :D
Long live the Wii U!
Turn the english subtitles and jump to 13:50. have fun.
im excited for that gamefreak rhythm game and the lego city undercover. those both look incredibly entertaining.
This Nintendo direct is on my Birthday!!!!!!!
Tokyo Crash Mobs, as strange a game concept as it might be, sounds and looks pretty funny.
8:49
Pink pikmin buried underground in the top left corner. Seems we'll have at least 7 types of pikmin for Pikmin 3.
Now you know Good and Well that a Mario Kart is Coming to Wii U. That's a given.
The street view thing would be even cooler if the wii fit would be compatible with it. You walk on the wii fit and as u walk you walk in the street view as well choosing where to turn with the gamepad.
You the man Reggie! I think this man single handedly renewed my faith in Nintendo! =)
Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon looks good. And the new Pikmin is gorgeous.
come back on 2014, Sakurai and Namco just started to develop it, we wont hear anything anytime soon
Me too! I want the bikes from Mario Kart Wii to come back too.
I see purple and white pikmin. Then I see awesome bosses/ regular enemies. Finally I see amazing graphics. Pikmin 3 is officially awesome.
At first, I was worried about the lack of fruit concentration; then Lego Iwata came to the rescue and introduced Vegetables to the stare-down contest.
Lego Iwata and Helmet Iwata - Big N's really having fun here.
Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon! Yay!! Please put a demo in the eShop this holiday season! Thank you for letting me have some faith in gaming.
pikmin 3 looks like a freaking pixar movie wow. it has the best graphic than i have ever seen on any console. i guess the wii u is much more powerful than we thought. yes
Lol! That picture hanging on the wall during 2:48 says, "Rego". Which is...well, you know, Lego in Japanese.
Respect for Nintendo you are the #1
Give them a break. They're not professional speakers or anything, they're just regular people who work at Nintendo, and they're probably too busy doing their actual work during the rest of the day to bother memorizing a script. So... Lego City Undercover is sounding more and more like Lego Grand Theft Auto...
if you look in the background at 7:53, a rock pikmin is battling a bulborb by himself. cute
Nintendo Man... You care a lot about the Producers and Presidents and feel they care about the fans too. It's like they're not doing it for profits... but for our fun.. Long live Nintendo
haha " it will be a while before he comes back" ...cold stare

With Wii Fit U, maybe our bodies will be ready.
It's waiting for you at E3 2013
That was the best laugh I had all day, if month. Major props to you sit.
This was posted on my Birthday! :D
I was hoping Brain Age would come out before Christmas. I was planning to get it for my dad as a christmas present. :(
Shawshank Redemption reference is enough to make me want Lego city on it's own! xD
The classic pack is so much fun!!! TO MUCH MEMORYS
Hi Orbis.
Everyone knows they generally stop numbering sequels after 3, because it sounds like a lot.
You must be blind to believe that. A mature person can play whatever he or she wishes without fear of the judgement of others.
I'm not getting a WiiU until Pikmin 3 and Rayman Legends come out.
I'm ready for Pikmin 3. I feel just like a purple Pikmin.
Even Lego Iwata did the Nintendo Direct hand chop.
I love how nintendo has such a variety game library, they went from cartoonish games to ninja gaiden 3, luigi's mansion and brain age to fire emblem, you never see this with sony and microsoft, all they have is BLOOOOOOOD GUTS AND BRAINS, hardly any variety besides little big planet and modnation
from 8:34 to 9:00 you can see pink pikmin either sitting on a ledge or in the ground
Not all though. Plenty of Nintendo games have been given a Teen rating & a select few to receive an M rating.
Teen:
Sin & Punishment (and Star Successor),
Twilight Princess,
Metroid games,
Xenoblade chronicles,
Hotel Dusk: Room 215,
Trace Memory,
Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance & Fire Emblem: Awakening,
Melee & Brawl
Mature:
Enternal Darkness,
Geist,
Dynamic Slash,
Bayonetta 2
lol, I didn't know that, in fact, I've NEVER heard of vita until I saw it in a store and I was like "another psp?" xD
They discussed animal crossing new leaf in a previous nintendo direct. I believe it is the one in october if you want to check it out.
I love your slowking picture he's my favorite pokemon of all time!!! O.O
Nintendo Direct in my Birthday :')
