No IBIS, terrible battery life, flip screen blocks mic and so on.....NONE OF IT MATTERS! It's the greatest camera for youtubers and vloggers in 2019. And the best one Sony has done ever.

Awesome! What kinds of videos are you going to do?
Same!
saaaaame.
@@Mark10ProVideo hey, do you think it's worth getting the a6600 over this one?
This was one hell of a breakdown. You overcame practically every objection with straight up facts. Good stuff man
Thanks for the nice comment, Vehicle Virals! Much appreciated:)
Fancy seeing you here
"Rolling Shutter... No one cares... NO ONE cares... Ask yourself, Do you care?" I don't know why but I found that hilarious. And I agree. I don't care.
:)
Gee You FPV I was just about to quote this! Love this guy so true haha!
Man I love this! Everyone gets so sucked into specs, color science, blah, blah, blah...and most wouldn't even notice those things if it weren't for tech reviews pointing every detail out. It's UA-cam content people..not cinema!! Get to shooting and STOP stressing about every single spec being perfect. It never will be.
WORD
After using and becoming more familiar with my a6400, and revisiting this video, you were spot-on in every point. My wireless lav mic has a headphone input (and vol control), so the "no headphone jack" is a non-issue and the lav mic was reasonably priced (Saramonic). I use it with a $10 bracket from Best Buy that gives me a sturdy handle and solves the common gripe about the position of the selfie screen. Because the selfie screen is right above the lens it's hard for people to tell when I'm looking at the screen and not into the lens. I imagine a side flip screen (like with a Canon) or an HDMI monitor would clearly show that I was looking away. Battery life is certainly not all day, but I picked up a Sony dummy battery on eBay for a great price and since I'm live streaming or recording in place, battery life is now a non-issue. Next, after a to be expected learning curve, the controls and settings are easy to understand and use. Yes, it takes time getting used to it and learning, but what new piece of equip. doesn't? Thanks for the honest hard hitting review. I'm very happy with my a6400 and I feel like I've barely scratched the surface of what it is capable of.
Awesome, Ben! It's such a great camera.
agree with you, Ben!!
I spent the whole night watching comparison / review videos on the A6400 and you hit the nail right on the head! There’s no pleasing everyone and you perfectly addressed the “downsides” vs what is really available in the market as alternatives. Great job and thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
Love my a6400! I am an amateur and took some photos that some pros thought I took with a "pro" setup. I had no clue what I was buying but so glad I bought it anyway!
Freaking great camera:)!
Just want to share:
Touch Screen works for zoom in and zoom out for the photo you have selected just tap it twice quickly.
Thanks, man! Didn't know that. That's great!!
other youtuber: hello welcome back to my channel, today I will....
tubenoob: okay part one...
😎
That's why I listen to every video haha. Great point!
man you're a cool dude
Thank you very much:)

Preach brotha. People cried so hard when this camera came out. Best vlogging camera option ATM. That autofocus is the killer app.
One of the best videos describing a camera... no just shooting out facts with fancy font on screen... I actually feel like I am in the room close to the camera, which is being explained by someone who knows how to explain stuff. Thanks for taking the time to put this thoughtful video together.
Thank you very much:) Appreciate the nice comment, Leona!
100% Agreed! Great points! STOP BIT..... AND LEAVE MY 6400 ALONE! :-)
:)
Don't listen to the naysayers and enjoy your camera!
@Fred Yeboah haha
Anothet top notch video on the a6400. Just got mine a couple days ago and I've been more than happy with it. Thanks for being part of that decision making process
No problemo:) Thanks for the nice comment, Babs Craig!
Was going to buy A6000/A7iii for professional photography & personal Vlogging(ride meetups & travelling), later realised that this options are either basic(A6000 basic but better than my current dslr) or expensive (A7iii is VFM but lenses are costlier). Definetly A6400 is tempting option. Thanks for clearing it out with this video.
No problemo:) Thanks for the nice comment!
Just bought one of these for my daughter's wedding. I was in the wedding, so we passed the camera around until someone wanted to shoot the wedding... yeah we were on a budget. Fortunately, all the person had to do is focus & shoot. Luckily, I bought a nice flash unit too as the church fotos came out super! I shot the reception photos & everyone was happy & amazed how well they came out! Glade I made this purchase!
Cool! Love to hear that:)
This is one the best professional review I've seen so far, well done!
Thanks a lot, Simon Lee! Much appreciate the nice comment:)
We need more honest & knowledgable youtubers like this.
Not like some vloggers that “pan shake” their cameras like crazy and then screaming “this camera has bad rolling shutter. Don’ buy it”
Much appreciated:)
LOL! Rolling shutter...NOONE CARES!!! best thing I've heard in awhile! Great video brother. Dropping the hammer!!! Love it!
Thanks a lot, Manuel! Happy to hear you think alike:)
I almost wanted to save that part to share it, but I don’t think any of my friends will get it.
Yeah like why would bloggers care about rolling shutter? They're just either sitting at a table or walking around where the camera is only in their face. Unless you're going to be making pro action film with a lot of fast panning, you're going to want to drop the money on a real pro camera.
Exactly! What is interesting, if you are after near zero rolling shutter in video, it's available from the Sony A9, which has 1/160s full sensor readout time. All other sensors are around 1/40s. A9II has unlimited video recording, bigger battery, and full sensor downconverting 4K, excellent IBIS, and so on and forth, but it is a $4500 camera, the original A9 is $3500. The reviewer, Mark Singer, is totally right at 10:39 when evaluating the A6400. Just rank your preferences, and buy your camera accordingly.
I don't think I've ever posted a comment on UA-cam before. Your channel has some of the best content I've ever seen. Clear, concise, fair and engaging. Tons of great information. Keep it up! Instant subscribe.
Thanks, Tom! Happy to hear that, man😎
one of the best review man..... speechless by the way of your speech n the telling.... 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Cool! Love to hear that:) Thanks for the nice comment, Dayanandan Devan!
I have the A6400 and you are right, too many people are just short sighted and complain; relocating my microphone was so easy.
Right! It's like some people can'T stop looking for reasons to not like something....the MAKING IT WORK part is among the best parts of it all:)
@@Mark10ProVideo True true, it's half the fun.
Great video! Great presentation... good honesty! That's how that's done!
Professionals never complain. They always find solutions. A very good message from this video.
Cool:)
I totally agree! The A6400 is an amazing camera and people forget how affordable it compared to most of its competition
Cool! Alway happy to hear from like-minded people:)
I like how you did this presentation. Very detailed and honest. Bought the 6400 yesterday upgrading from 6000. Was really torn between 6300 n 400 as it had a better deal. Then I questioned my thought process on why 6400 wasn’t on sale anywhere in this internet world. Lol so by intuition I picked 6400 . Then stumbled on your video and I’m happy I ended up with 400 as so many reviewers were bashing it 🙃without justifying their claims in a proper way
Cool! Very good choice:)
I found this really helpful. I’m going to buy now! Thanks a lot
Cool! Love to hear that! Thanks for teh nice comment:)
By far the most the realist no BS reviewer I have watched... I look forward on your channel!!
Cool! Thanks for the nice comment, Jade!
Honest, passionate, straightforward. Tremendous video!! I may end up getting one!
Thanks for the nice comment, man! Happy to hear you enjoyed the video! Let me know how it goes:)
Thanks for your no nonsense vids on photo gear an technique. Picked up a A6400 just over a year ago. Still loving it, no regrets. 'Not an entry level camera'. How true.
makes me think a chef doing camera review on his break.
Or a Baker...
I don't care what anyone has to say about the A6400. I'm glad I bought mine last week and I'm impressed. Had a A6300 in the past and it is a good videography camera during that time aside from the overheating issue and battery guzzler.
yeah sold me aswell , i just like the way you state ''flaws'' of an awsome camera ( proud owner of it )
Subscribed
Cool:) Yeah, my thing is...it's totally ok to say "no IBIS is a deal breaker for me because of reasons a) b) c) aso....." but peole calling that a "flaw" of the camera, considering the price, the features and thetarget audience for the camera, that is just ignorant in my opinion....thanks for subscribing!
Finally someone who puts my thoughts into a video. All reviews about cameras are the same, complaining about things that people do not even care about or use. How many people have you seen moving their camera left and right and use that filming for anything? Short battery, everyone has at least 2 etc... well put out, thank you for it man
No problemo! Thanks for the nice comment, Olivier Delahaye:)
6:05 - The power of concentration from this dude is just seeping out of his pores... xD
😎
I totally agree! But the rolling shutter is for me a big problem, because i make music videos and film bands live and strobe lights look horrible with rolling shutter also dimmed led lights will cause lining ... i love global shutter for that reason
I agree 100%. Unusable if that's what your doing. It'S not for everybody. But for the youtuber and vlogger it is much less of a problem. Also really appreciate that you don't bash the camera for it. Shows that you have a good perspective on the matter. becasue what makes me tick is those who go from some problem being a no-go for them to bashing the camera for not offering more. Which is just ignorant. Also I believe they would be the first people to complain about price if the processing was A9 fast and the cam had IBIS.....so thanks for your differentiated view on the topic!
@@Mark10ProVideo thanks for the answer. :) people, and i have to admit myself too, love to talk about gear too much. Of course it is a tool and ever worker needs proper tools and the right tools for the job ...but a poem is not better if the pencil is better. I maybe makes more fun or is less of a hassle but at the and of the day the camerabody is a very small part of the whole project. After all the things in front of the camera matter more then then the camera imo. I have seen way more professional videos as my own ones but they are made with a 5dmkii or worse... light matters, the performace of actors matter and the job of the cameraman matters the rest are details... i love talking about details but i often have to remind myself that this is not everything
Finally a REAL world review of the Sony A6400.
Thanks a lot! Much appreciate the compliment:)
I recently sold my sony ax700 and made the switch to full hybrid shooting now, I own a7iii for my studio filming and photography and I just purchased the a6400 for run and gun filming and it's a beast of a camera!
totally agree with you that people shouldn't bash this awesome beast of a camera.
cheers
Nice move! My combo of cameras exactly!
How did the camcorder hold up though? because that also seemed like a pretty cool thing....
@@Mark10ProVideo it was a great all in one unit but the a7iii quality and low light just walked all over that little one inch sensor so i couldn't justify keeping it at a Sony a7iii price point.
Sold and purchased the a6400 now i have the best of both worlds.
Great review! This is the camera we got and are happy, the perfect camera simply does not exist.
Thank you , Jeremy Metzler!
Just bought the 6400, 2 kit lenses, Sigma 16 and 56. A Godox tt350 flash and a Polaris spd100 light meter. I purchased mounts for a mint Vivitar telephoto and one for my sweet vintage Soviet Helios 44-2 bokeh beast. You can’t go wrong with this rig. Did my homework and this is the best camera at any price point under $2000.
Ahh, the helios....never gets old that thing. Overall great picks! &400 is my fav value for the money camera as well!
I think Sony users are like Android users: they know what they need and know what to do with it.
Well said:)
Technically Sony users ARE Android users, that's what the camera runs as it's OS. ;-)
Canon is more like apple, it is true. Canon makes life easier for the user, but is more expensive and is more limiting. Still love the autofocus on canon, still love their colors, sony is doing great thought and the 6400 is really the best buy at this time. The M50 II sounds interesting though, it just needs to stay in the same price range and give us no crop 24p 4k and dual pixel autofocus in 4k, that is it :)
*Apple users
I have owned this camera since it came out, just came across this video now... and i have to say...this is the best one i have seen so far :-) Amazing! And right to the point. Thank you.
No problemo! Thanks for the nice comment, Thomas Hansen:)
best review of A6400 - really enjoy your content

Cool! Love to hear that:)
Best Sony A6400 review on the internet. Period!
Cheers brother!
Much appreciated, Arun Sharma:) Many greetings!
I've been following and have watched quite a ton on filmmaking/gear discussion videos/channels on UA-cam for a long time now and it actually amazes me how I never came across any of your videos before until about a week ago and I must say I really really really love how good you breakdown key infos about these camera and how detailed and well informative your other videos are. Your presentation method is excellent, a lot mature and your editing is absolutely clean and far less distracting. You are doing a great job and thanks for helping people better decide on these gears. Well done!
Cool! Love to hear that:)
We use the 6400 for the restaurant!!!! before the canon m3, after the m6... but the 6400 is another level!!!
Totally....it's a no contest if they go head to head:)
Best review I've seen so far. Simple and honest without unnecessary bs. and negativity. Just bought the a6400 today and this totally convinced me that I got the right one. Thank you and keep up the great work.
Love to hear that! Much appreciate you taking the time to write such a nice comment!
what a great honest review video, had my full attention throughout the whole thing. We need more like this. thumbs up and subscribed!

I bought this camera thanks to you. you slimply said it all and after viewing the video I was like, THAT`S IT! now that I have it, i watched the other 2 videos on how to set it up for vlogging.
Excellent:) Happy to hear that! Thanks for the nice comment, Daiana!
Well said brah! Now im so confident using my A6400📸♥️♥️♥️
Great:) Thanks for the nice comment, Mang!
You are one of the most honest reviewers on youtube! Congrats!
I appreciate that!
I am looking forward to see a 6600 with the best of 6400 and 6500. I still like the different versions of the 6x00 series, giving people the abbility to enter photography at lower prices.
Sony are the only company not getting killed by the smartphone in the bus 2000US price range. They are doing it right. I am also looking forward to that camera....a lot!
I like your straight to the point NO BS take on this camera. You sold me on it.
Cool😎 Thanks for the nice comment:)
FINALLY STOP IT! most affordable apsc with plenty of good features for hybrid shooter Video/photo with affordable Sigma prime lens!!!

"rolling shutter , no one cares no one cares " man I can't believe how honest and logical this channel is. I love it !!!
Thanks for the nice comment:) Much appreciated!
I'm thinking about moving from the Canon 80D to this.
Would certainly be a whole other level. 4k, the sigma lenses, log profiles.....could be the right step, although you will miss the touch screen and menu structure of the canon for at least a week:)
I just did.
Finally!!! Someone who really appreciates a6400 properly!!! Thank you so much for this video. Currently i am owning a6400. Absolutely loving it!! I was kinda frustrated people undermining this awesome camera.
Cool:)
Excellent perspective! Thank you!
You're very welcome, CD B! Thank you very much for the nice comment:)
thanks for the video. I am in the process of buying a Sony A6400. Moving on from a Cannon 700d, my 1st real camera after using camcorders the Sony 405 was the last. I enjoyed the 700d learned to shoot manual, raw, long exposure using Bulb but as a camera it is now out of date. originally I wanted a cannon 5d mark 3 as prices for them are so low but filming focus bad and no 4k. I then started doing some research and this Sony hits all the buttons. I pannier tour with my bike so lugging a 700d and a 135 wide angled lens is a bit heavy which got me on to thinking mirrorless. I originally thought cannon and researched the M50 but cropped 4k not good, then the60 mark 2 but no 24fps in 4k and 24fps is my religion then I saw this and a lot of the reviews are so good about it. It will be a serious improvement on the 700d shoots manual, raw and bulb but really looking forward to the autofocus its build quality looks good as well as the 700d has been flung in panniers all its life and never flinched I will be a bit more gentle with this but it is just such a stunning camera at a great price
I bought A6400 and 20000 mAh Power bank.
What battery is?
Nice! What do you plan on creating?
If you're interested, I have put some more links in the description. And the kit on kit.com is now also updated. Greetings!
@@Mark10ProVideo I usually make tech videos.
Fantastic video, i bought the sony a6400 a few months ago, moving up from tge sony a5000, what a big differencem the biggest thing i enjoy over tge full frame cameras is the size, i still dont know everything about the camera but im leaning
Thanks for explaining in details. 👍🏻
No problemo:) Thanks for the nice comment!
I've been spending HELLA time tranna find a video for the a6400 but this guy has it all in 1 and explains it quickly not like other part ...1...2..3..etc am a new subscriber
Thanks for the nice comment and support, Yo! Much appreciated:)
Great comparison, im getting the 6400. i also subscribbed.
Cool! Thanks for the support, man!
One more very important advantage for the a6400 vs X-T30 is recording time in 4K, 10 min max in the Fuji vs NO LIMIT in the a6400, huge advantage in my view and my needs. X-T3 is more expensive so I don't see it as a direct competitor with the a6400, its competing with the a6500
True, damn I missed that....man, the fujis still are pretty damn good......I might have gone for the x-t30 actually if it had a selfie screen.....because the sensor architecture is sperior to the sony....still I love the 6400 a lot and am very happy with it.
I love this video! Your awesome! I subscribed and looking to get a Sony to replace my Canon.
Love to hear that! Thanks for the support, Phil Daniel!
WHat Canon will you replace?
@@Mark10ProVideo I have an SL2 and a 6Dii, but I'm so attached to both of them that I'll probably just give the SL2 to my son and keep the 6Dii and buy the 6400 or 7riii I'm not sure yet of course there is the bmpcc 4k. A dedicated video that is in my price range. I just started photography a year ago and also want to get into videography. I know I'm a mess can't seem to figure out what route I want to get into lol
Watching this in 2023 and I’m loving your practical views. Thank you.
Fuckng awesome, I'm sold on the a6400.... thanks bro
No problemo:) Thanks for the nice comment!
Great video, finally nice to hear an opinion that outlines the “deficiencies” and compares them across the board (seemingly fairly) and doesn’t just slam it with no constructive feedback. I’m sold as well!
Glad it was helpful!
Sony's IBIS is so bad there's no difference between their cameras with IBIS or without.
I agree, its literally only good for slightly shaky hands. Not walking, not hand panning etc. Just if youre trying to hold it still on a still subject. No micro jitter, but thats it.
WORD
They really don'T shine in that department. I recently had the chance to test the Nikon Z7 and the panasonic S1, looking forward to the GH5...now that's what I call IBIS!!!
I moved to the Sony 6400 for ONE reason. auto focus. I can deal with everything else. I've used canons, nikons and panasonics and none can touch this. There's no point having all these other features, if your shot is not in focus. I got tired of re shooting takes or getting back to post and finding that shot I wanted to use wasn't in focus. I ended up resorting to a handycam which worked well in this area but I needed the flexibility of multiple lenses for fast glass. Sony has sorted that for me. I'm pretty happy right now, but pissed off that the journey cost me so much and took me so long
You lost me in Rolling Shutter. Its incredibly distracting and noticeable especially when someone is vlogging
To you maybe...not to most people. For stills, obviously, but for vlogging you can simply make it a point to not throw the cam around.
I've had my 6400 for about a week and I'm loving it.Agree with everything you said here, and your video defineitely helped in my decision to buy. Thanks!
No problemo! Thanks for the nice comment, Nick Cook:)
f**kkk...why does A6400 look so good and im still waiting for the fuji H2 to save the world or some shit...i swear if the h2 is no good then im moving ships to sony or some other brands lol.
though is the a6400 good for low light, im guessing the log profile will help a lot with that issue compared to full frame that can manage low light + less noise and higher iso capabilities (with less noise) just guessing and speculating here so feel free to correct me if i get anything wrong.
H2....nice.....the H1 is a pretty underrated, almost forgotten camera. Very good one as well. The X-T3 and 30 kinda stole the spotlight. H2 might be a real hit it out of the park product. Fuji makes some good gear right now. But yes, the A6400 looks mighty nice and is a total bullseye in my opinion for wht it is marketed as.
Very well done! Your well-thought-out perspective is not found in other reviews. I like the part about others comparing the a6400 to a hypothetical dream camera that does not exist. How true!
Great informative video just subscribed, not sure what lens should i get what you recommend? we do beyblade videos, somebody said to use the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lens for Sony, but i have no idea i only use camcorders for our videos, Thank You keep up the great reviews
Thanks for the nice comment, zankye! Much appreciated. The sigma is a very good lens, but from the couple of videos I have seen on your channel, you need lots of depth of field so the viewers can see the whole beyblade arena. For that reason the f1.4 isn't necessary. Then again you can use it to get great cinematic shots of the beyblades themselves if that is something you're interested in doing.
Also it is not a zoom lens, so you would loose some versatility right there. A camcorder might atually not be a bad idea to use, because they usually have small sensors which get you a lot of depth of field.
Have you thought about maybe getting some nice lights and effects lights to enhance your videos that way? Like a red effects light for a red beyblade or something like that, to light the arena in a more interesting way?
Maybe the 16 55 f2.8 G lens would be a good pick, allthough pretty expensive. It's a zoom and it is fast enough for nice product shots with a shallow depth of field using the 55mm tele end. Also the sony camera has a 120fps recording option for nice slowmotion. That could look cool as well. 16-70 zeiss lens or even the 16-50 kit lens can be just right for you actually.
More questions? just ask:)
@@Mark10ProVideo Thank You so much, really appreciated
I love you.
Don't make me blush:)
Your videos are great man! Definitely going to pick up an A6400 with your accessories in the near future. Keep up the great content !
Thanks a lot, Ronnie Dizon! Much appreciate the nice compliment and support! Will do:)
I Strongly and respectfully disagree, the Canon M50 is a much better camera for people who shoot in 1080 - content producers, 💪 PLUS it’s $300 cheaper
If you're shooting 1080.......and if you don't mind the image quality of the M50. When did I talk about 1080?
TubeNoob I’m not knocking your review, Awesome Video 👍, loved it! I do think the 6400 is a great camera. Just for content creators who don’t shoot in 4K, the M50 is much better all around. I’m not sold on the Picture quality aspect of it. As far as I’m concerned “ Picture quality” is pretty much the same. Maybe you can do a video on the quality and change my mind. You didn’t say 1080 I did and it’s something that should be considered
Thanks, Bowersachs! Appreciate it!
Mh....maybe I should do a quick comparison....I did use the M6 for along time and the m3 before that....
As far as ease of use is concerned, the canons win that comparison. But MUCH better all around...I don't know....the M50 doesn't have a single log profile, it doesn't have a fully manual timelapse mode, the screen doesn't have a sunny weather option, the native m lens selection doesn't seem to be developed as one would hope.....with some lenses that compete with the sigmas for the e mount for example....there are some things that have to be considered even when just comparing 1080p......
those kind of video with 'I will tell you why you re all wrong and why Im right" kind of tone, have to be really legit to not upset people, to not trigger nitpicking....
And I think you nailed it ;)
Very good point.
Well explained.
I wouldnt have make it better.
I have a m50, was thinking about a xt3, or investing in EOS R (so more expensive), but after my onw (very long) research, I came to exactly the same points and conclusion.
So I bought a a6400 and it was the good decision :), very happy with it so far, I feel its big/good step from m50 with a very nice/reasonnable price (including lens in equation).
Great video !
Cool! Thank you very much for the nice comment!
YES!!! “rolling shutter. No one cares. Viewers on UA-cam care about honesty, not rolling shutter.” Thank you!
😎
Damn by far the best review for A6400 on youtube. Good job man
Thanks a lot, Wan Akmal!
my man! you went straight to the paints without unnecesary crap. props for that!!! :)
No problemo! Thanks for the nice comment, sean malvaroza:)
Yup, you sold me on the A6400. Upgrading from A6000 (which is still pretty good) asap! Thank you!
Good choice!
It's a great video! Thank you! Funny, but I was feeling a bit intimidated by the camera but it is not because It's my first camera, but more due to not actively playing with any cameras. Just need to get back in the grove and this is my favorite camera! So thanks again... SOLD )))
Thanks a lot for the nice comment, Gary Prince!
Switched from Canon EOS 200D to Sony A6400 lately. What an upgrade. Autofocus is amazing, especially face detection and EYE-AF. And zoom during manual focus is awesome. Haven't figured out sony colors yet, but it's just matter of time.
Yes, that is wuite a jump in IQ and AF.....yeah the sony colors.....maybe I should do a video on how to tweak to picture profiles....they remain a bit mysterious to me...maybe time to change that....
What are you trying to accomplish with the colors? A look or a neutral?
@@Mark10ProVideo Regarding colors both. For some photos natural, for some photos special loook. I shoot RAW :) + best jpeg. And I'm taking about RAWS, they are more washed out than Canon ones just after loading them into Darktable (linux lightroom). So I have to work with them differently than with Canon ones. But I'm getting there ;).
you nailed it!!! Sometimes people just forget what they really need and make irrational comparisons aka demanding the 6400 to have many other functions but still cheap....
I really like your zero-bullshit style, and appreciate the wealth of information and knowledge
No problemo! Thanks for the nice comment, letronchosier:)
I am the one who own sony 6400 👍 and proud & happy to be with it.
Love your honesty and realism in this. 10/10! Keep up the fantastic content!
No problemo! Thanks for the nice comment, reaching.expanding:)
New generation without photography theories make so much fuss about face/eye tracking and automation. At coffee shops, we laughed and joked about Sony eye tracking. What ever happened to techniques like hyperfocal distance, depth of field computations, etc. if ever there would be an automation I would like to see in a camera is a beam that could be seen in the viewfinder or monitor showing extent of adjustable focus distance or a readout in the screen.
yep, you are correct for sure the only 'downside' is the somewhat worse aps-c lineup from sony but there is enough for vlogging hell i even still at times use the 1018 on my a7 models instead of the 1635GM i also own. What i don't get (but maybe they will now? Is why not add a rode wireless go. use smallrig (example) coldshoe mover to the side and add the receiver. Its all getting so small and usable now. Also get the new remote (bluetooth) you can program the buttons and even focus and zoom with it for vloggers .....
I thought for sure that's what they were going to do, strike up a deal with exactly these companies and come out with a real vloggers kit that works......I really thought that was the logical choice....they did some weird halfassed bracket/grip thing with buttons....seems like something Canon would do...:)
Ur one of the best reviewers in this segment, and I know most of them. I like ur authenticity, ur calm attitude and very well explained topics. And also two thumbs up for ur fashion style 😉
Hehe, thank's alot, Joe! Glad you enjoyed the video!
I lile how people complain about battery life. That's such a non problem unless you want to record video for long periods of time. Otherwise it takes 3 seconds to change. I've never needed stabilization. If I need it, it's way too dark then.
I can't wait to get this
You got me, in about 30 seconds, rich informations and tons of knowledge, subscribed.
Cool! Thanks for the support!
I love the flippy uppy screen, actually the side ones are a deal breaker for me
Great video and comments. I own a 6400 after using/trying (for a few weeks) an canon 80d and Nikon d7500. It is hard to beat. Unless I watch other UA-cam channels I find it perfect for what I need for audio and video. As far as audio goes I used a rode micro but I found a lapel mic with a good recorder then syncing the audio to be the best for me. Audio comes in great and avoids the drama about where the mic sits. I do also own the relocation hot shoe piece but the lapel mic setup works so easy for me.
Good setup! What recorder do you use?
I bought a Sony ICDUX560BLK 1". $73 USD and had good reviews. I was surprised how easy it was to sync. I was totally new to FCX and digital cameras of this scale. For me the ability to not deal with a dead cat setup and being separate audio makes videos easy and the quality comes out consistent. Granted its been all of 3 videos but its fast and more consistent for my use. Keep up the good work!
