A huge number of manufactured housing in that region. We all need to pray for them. and in the Clearwater and north of there it is only a couple of feet above sea level on a normal day so they are all going to get flooded as a certainty. The only question is what else. I love Florida. But hurricanes................ not so much.

Imagine if a model a week ahead of time shows a direct hit on Mickey and Minnie's house... which I think we will see. All the people would cancel reservations. But also.. HEY that is what warnings and models are all about. to warn you. That front to the north at an angle is likely to move the storm to the east and score a hit on Orlando.

Your desire for something bad to happen will reflect to you not your relative. Even if you were to tell me something horrible they did and I agreed they deserved to be held accountable. Devil's advocate and storm lover here. On one hand, I really don't want all the property damage or death a hurricane can cause. I do genuinely hope that everyone stays safe and is well prepared! However, on the other hand, I'm kinda hoping Ian strengthens into a Cat 4 or Cat 5 hurricane before it makes landfall in Florida. One, so that way Georgia can see some nasty cold, windy, and rainy weather for a bit (and hopefully most of us can get called out of work for severe weather). And two, it makes the history books and so the WDW and the Disney company can suck it.
