Great question! The app will require a paid monthly subscription through the Google Play and Apple app stores. We will charge up front so we don’t have to do anything shady on the back end. Having it be a paid service also helps eliminate fake accounts. The cost hasn’t been finalized yet.

Another thought I had, since you're using Google for all your server services, do they mine any data from the site or users info? I want this to be real, but we should all be skeptical of new stuff. Keep us informed and you'll build a customer base for the life of the product!

I'm really into the concept, it seems much more pure, safe, and wholesome than typical social media. I will say, I'm still a little wary of social media in general, so I limit my use. For someone like me, convincing me to add another social media app (pure as it may be) will take some time. I think you're on to something, though.

@wheelieCoolVideos How do you plan on making money with this platform? Is the expectation for you to sell to a larger firm, or will you have micro-transactions available? Will the app cost $10 to sign up? I really like the idea but you don't seem to have any way to make money if you aren't using ads so I'm not sure what the end goal is for you aside from selling to a larger firm which will in turn likely sell ad space, or data. (edit: I did sign up for the beta because I really like the idea...just not sure how long it can last)
When it comes to social media, I'm a dinosaur. Not a big fan of the other social media megacorps either, but I'm tempted to give this one a whirl. Let's see how it goes
Does anything 'stop' users from posting their own ads on the platform like many do with adverts on youtube or sponsored posts on Instagram?
so, i've been reading throught the comments having already signed up to try beta. I get that it'll be a paid monthly subscription, which, is fine. I've had some ideas on my IG that could use the space as a possible jumping board. My question is, what will be the limitations for video and stories? On IG, stories are limited to 1-minute sections.

WCV's, I just randomly snagged your CC dual exhaust vid a few days ago after picking up a 2011 CC in Feb. It's just my "weekend 2nd car" at the moment but after seeing your awesome video I can't help myself, I want to customize customize customize my ride, lol. I shared your vid with a brother who's an older car guy like myself and he said it was "a great video" so you have serious talent my man. I've not been a user of Soc Media at least partially due to who started it all (and my gut instincts will be vindicated) but mostly because of the privacy concerns. Now, thanks to you I have an attractive alternative and if I go anywhere it will be to your OG! Oh, and I have the White Gold as well but with the 2-tone interior. My small town in south Michigan has gone rebel wrt the lock-down orders here. Friday night we had a 4 hour "cruise in" and downtown was full of all kinds of street machines and classics along with a decent contingent of euro machines! No masks, no crowd control, and no police interference. It was like an evening freed from tyranny! Wish you the best of success and looking forward to more car action from your channel.
Heading over to sign up for Beta now....you should start a youtube channel strictly for that platform. Would be a revolutionary way to connect the user with the creators....could also help explain/show off features, troubleshoot common issues, serve as a live FAQ, and also show off post of the day, week, month, year. Just brainstorming

I think the biggest issue, is not in your great idea, but the fact that people will wonder why they should add a smaller social media platform when their friends and family will not be on it.

Thanks R2!! We will be charging a monthly subscription fee through the Google Play and Apple app stores when we launch the public release. Hopefully people will be able to justify a small monthly fee in order to regain their privacy and not see ads constantly.
