So true ! I had to literally just ghost my ex , no explanation and no contact . The relationship was a toxic on and off mess . It’s been 3 months and it hasn’t been easy but it gets easier with time. Proud of my self for moving on.

Your young self needs experiences. All my friends thought I was crazy with that mentality but it worked for me and as we got older, they understood what I was talking about. I’m a Cancer ♋️ 🦀 as well! Back in my younger 20s toxic guys would complain about me being overly emotional. People who knew me made comments saying I was dramatic. Now that I’m in my 30s, I look back and realize that it wasn’t important to control my emotions. Sometimes things happen beyond our control and you can’t always have a handle on your emotions. It’s natural. Channeling emotions appropriately has been the key for me. Controlling had me bottle up emotions to the point it all came out like a binge eater. Allowing and setting out time to feel, investing and becoming creative, finding new interest all helped me to channel the energy, thoughts, anxieties that were build up. Sometimes we have setbacks, but our bounce backs are so impressive. You are a force to be reckoned and commend you on your journey! 👑♋️💗🖤
So refreshing to see this side of you sis! I also would recommend therapy as a part of the self care journey. It’s imperative to recognize our trauma and triggers to see what allowed us to stay in low vibrational relationships
Outside observation: It seems you choose or end up with a significant other that never matches you financially, mentally, physically etc. and I’m so happy you’re single and in a better place. You deserve soooo much better than what you’ve been given as far as relationships. This needs to be said the problem everyone has is when we don't put God 1st he goes before ourselves. Putting him 1st gives our lives structure order and peace when you do it your way we get counterfeit everything counterfeit relationships, job,living location, etc but his way everything falls into place. I didn't know real love unto I except Jesus and he's teaching me to be the woman I'm supposed to be in this world

As someone that has been through toxic relationships. My biggest advice is to love YOURSELF! More than anyone else. When you do. Truly do. You will not put up with bs. I literally got to the point when dating.. if a man texted me "Gm beautiful" I would cut them off if I'm not worth texting out the whole word or having meaningful phone calls. "Old school" dating. Ladies you are worth so much more!

Was it just me? or was y’all feeling like everything she was saying in this video? I’m so inspired by Aaliyah! She’s so strong yet soft, positive and motivated!!! It’s nice to have someone else to relate to that’s in their twenties dealing with life and changes. I also doubted myself for a very long time when I was younger and it was because I was lost and just didn’t really know what I wanted but now that I’m older and a lot of the things I want to before are the same things that I still want now AND aaliyah wants!!!! It’s so inspirational and i’m happy God put her on earth with us LOL we need the help.

They also want a mom, sister, lover, homie etc. wrapped in one person. I’m in a relationship that I already mentally checked out of. Once I start this new career I’m leaving him. I back to focusing on myself.

I just got out of a long term relationship last month & honestly I haven’t felt the breakup, it hasn’t hurt at all. I was already checked out, I realized I settled and too many bounds were crossed. Now I’m so focused on myself, growing spiritually, growing my business. All that love I was giving that person I just had the urge to give it all to me bc i forgot to for so long while with them. First of all 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 because you’ve been pulling out big stuff this month alone! I was so surprised but knew you had it in you. You’re focused on the right stuff and it shows. Sometimes you gotta drop the things that hold you back to excel and you’re doing just that which is so important for black girls to see because we Tend to put more care into people who don’t genuinely care about us. I could go on and on because this same unspoken thing destroys our growth!
I felt a lot of this! I’m turning 25 and realizing a lot of the things I were stressing about in my early twenties don’t matter & in a lot of situations I should’ve put myself first! When the time is right things will fall into place how they are supposed too! You’ll be surprised when you start putting yourself first you have a fuller cup to pour from and the right people come into your life! Glad you shared this 💜

When I started therapy I realized how mean I’ve been to myself. It’s crazy. Being kind to yourself unlocks a new level of joy and contentment
Every woman or man should definitely spend time to themselves. To create tte best self of themselves. I’ve never believed people should be in serious relationships at such s young age. Your young self needs experiences. All my friends thought I was crazy with that mentality but it worked for me and as we got older, they understood what I was talking about. I say you’re doing the right thing for yourself. You’ll thank yourself as time passes.
I’m a Cancer ♋️ 🦀 as well! Back in my younger 20s toxic guys would complain about me being overly emotional. People who knew me made comments saying I was dramatic. Now that I’m in my 30s, I look back and realize that it wasn’t important to control my emotions. Sometimes things happen beyond our control and you can’t always have a handle on your emotions. It’s natural. Channeling emotions appropriately has been the key for me.
Controlling had me bottle up emotions to the point it all came out like a binge eater. Allowing and setting out time to feel, investing and becoming creative, finding new interest all helped me to channel the energy, thoughts, anxieties that were build up. Sometimes we have setbacks, but our bounce backs are so impressive. You are a force to be reckoned and commend you on your journey! 👑♋️💗🖤
So refreshing to see this side of you sis! I also would recommend therapy as a part of the self care journey. It’s imperative to recognize our trauma and triggers to see what allowed us to stay in low vibrational relationships

Outside observation: It seems you choose or end up with a significant other that never matches you financially, mentally, physically etc. and I’m so happy you’re single and in a better place. You deserve soooo much better than what you’ve been given as far as relationships.
