I wanted to thank you for your explanations, and for taking the time and care to post them. After my first mammogram I was told I had microcalcifications, but was shuffled out and told to get a biopsy with very little idea of what was going on. This helped me understand my situation a bit better.

Thankfully the truth about cancer inducing mammograms is being studied and reported. Ultrasound and thermogram are safe, reliable screening alternatives.

    She took mine out.
They couldn't get me to breathe on my own while I was coming out of anesthesia. Doctors don't usually get alarmed by things but she seemed alarmed that it took them so long to get me to breathe and then my O2 Sat kept dropping below 89% for almost 8 hours. I was forced to stay in the hospital overnight.
I TOLD them I have trouble with anesthesia. I don't see why anyone would make that up.

Very helpful. I have calcifications all over me because of long term hypoparathyroidism and was wondering if this is a factor in a suspicious area on breast. Getting a spot compression and perhaps ultrasound soon.
