  • Are you ready to be amazed? Here is a full tour of the incredible Shangri-La Suite at the Shangri-La Paris. Check out the jaw-dropping views of the Eiffel Tower from the huge terrace (or from the bed or from the bathtub!!). The Shangri-La Suite has 120 sqm / 1,290 square feet of transcendent luxury with an enormous private, furnished 100 sqm / 1,076 square foot terrace offering a bird’s-eye view of Paris’ most iconic sights.
Perched on the top floor of the luxury Paris hotel, the showstopping La Suite Shangri-La is a modern apartment in the sky boasting unobstructed views of the iconic Eiffel Tower. Carefully balancing classic French Directoire and Empire styles with modern Art Deco details, this one-bedroom suite features a walk-in dressing room, separate living room and dining area, functional kitchenette, guest bathroom and the pièce de résistance - a grand terrace offering sweeping views of the City of Lights. You get truly unparalleled panoramic views from the Eiffel Tower to Le Grand Palais and Sacré-Coeur.Custom furnishings including a hand-painted chinoiserie cabinet, Chinese antiques, pearlescent Lelièvre wall panels and Manuel Canovas drapes. It has a residential feel and feels more like staying at a friend's luxurious Paris apartment than staying in a hotel room.
La Suite Shangri-La has a beautiful modern style with the Asian accents typical to Shangri-La hotels. It's a nice contrast with the style of the rest of the hotel, the public spaces and guest rooms, which have a classic, Second Empire style due to the hotel's history.
Built in the late 19th century, the Shangri-La Paris building formerly was the private mansion of Prince Roland Bonaparte, grand-nephew of Napoleon. The public spaces of the Paris palace hotel retain many historical details and architectural elements. Check out my video tour of the Shangri-La Paris lobby ( • CHECK OUT THE INCREDIB... ) to see these elements and features.

It's OK...just kidding--it's Fabulous! Especially the view at night. In my bedroom, I have a picture of the Eiffel Tower after it was first built. At the time many people thought it was a monstrosity, but eventually it became the beloved symbol of Paris. Thanks for the tour, Fred, always a pleasure. Happy Holidays!

Thank you! Yes, I am fascinated by the Eiffel Tower too. I have a big Taschen book which has all the engineering plans and drawings. And yes, people hated it, in fact, that's why Prince Roland's mansion was built facing AWAY from the tower. The rear of the building faces it, the front (and Prince Roland's personal apartment) do not have views!

@@FreddySherman That's actually quite reasonable, considering what you get. I thought it would be at least $25-30K.
