I was in NZ in 2019-2020 with a working holiday visa. Oamaru wasn't on my bucket list. I ran into it while travelling east. It was a blast : the Victorian princint, the limestone-made buildings, the Steampunk museum, the harbour and its blue penguins, the vibe... I miss this city everyday! Thanks for the video!
It's a great place. I avoided it for years because I thought it was a dull conservative place but it isn't like that at all. Great places to eat, the swimming pool, the Steampunk place. It is a real cool town.

Very beautiful architecture. Looks like nz pre 1950s. So sad most of nz has destroyed its rich architectural history.
A lovely place and Richie McCaw's birthplace. Sparsely populated to say the least! Where is everyone?
Sadly, covid had a strong impact on these towns. Despite this it is a beautiful place to visit.
