There is something so eerie about his silence. The complete silence. Even his steps don't make a sound and that is so unnerving. Easily he is one of the best horror icons to come out of the 2010's.

I think ambiguity should be treated as a strength and not a weakness. His ambiguity in realism make him scarier. Like we all know Pennywise isn’t real, but there could be someone out there as twisted as Art, and that’s why he wins in my book
@Woofzy Edits Good so now that you admitted I am right and kids were able to defeat Pennywise. We are on the same page. Now who was able to defeat Art? Oh yeah that's right, NO ONE.
I don't care what anyone says, Art buries Pennywise in terms of who's scarier. And for multiple reasons too. 1. Pennywise literally runs on fear. If his victims stop being afraid of him, he's finished. Art does not CARE anything about fear, and nobody seems to know how to put him to rest. 2. Art is way more unpredictable and ruthless. Sawing a woman in half from her crotch, Feeding live rats down a tube into somebody's throat, Scalping a girl and skinning half her body just to pour salt and bleach into her wounds, Slicing a guy's sausage straight from his body when he's taking a leak? Yeah, Pennywise can't hold a candle to any of that. 3.Art is much better in terms of mind games. Not only are his victims terrified while he's murdering them, but before also (most of them anyway). His body language and clever tactics show he has no care about the sick things he's about to do to someone, Pennywise I feel doesn't do this as well as Art. 4. Art comes off as more real, as if some version of him could actually exist, minus the whole demon thing, but other than that, somebody like him could replicate the evil seen on the screen given the right circumstances. Not even to mention it's been revealed recently that Art has a supernatural power to keep his victims alive just long enough to feel the pain he's inflicting upon them before they finally die. Art takes the cake for me, and judging by the comments, I'm not the only one that feels that way.
I personally like Pennywise more but that's probably just because I'm not the biggest fan of gore. In general I think Pennywise is more interesting and developed while Art is more scary and brutal
Pennywise will kill you while Art the Clown will make you wish you were dead. Also you should’ve mentioned the way they kill in this list. That could’ve helped Art the Clown.
Art is an character of a slasher movie and pennywise is a character of a horror fantasy movie that's why Art is presented more terrifying way.. If IT movie would be a horror slasher movie for adults only pennywise would be a more terrifying character .

Art all the way around way more scarier. Having to barely use his “powers” makes him more scary. He uses them to just play around with his food. Dude only gives us unsettling facial expressions, gestures, and dead bodies. Not to mention they way they represent Art as being some Killer Clown in almost a real life world puts him farther ahead.
You can beat pennywise by conquering your fears. Art, on the other hand will just keep coming for you until you're hanging from your toes with no skin.
After rewatching terrifier I now see how art is terrifying art is so unpredictable, while pennywise is terrifying cause he has control of the entirety of derry and the fact he can appear out of nowhere makes it even more terrifying, but I will say arts face and his silenceness makes him feel eerie
Hahah idiots pennywise feed on fear. And if you’ve seen the terrifier, it doesn’t seem like Art knows what that it. Pennywise got beaten by getting insulted.
The thing with Art, he has no fears. Pennywise gets stronger based on your fears, so considering Art has no fears, that makes Pennywise weaker. But that still doesn’t mean Pennywise doesn’t have a chance, he has literal powers while Art doesn’t. All I’m saying is, they are both quite strong, so I don’t really have an opinion.
Love how people say "pennywise relies on fear to survive" no he doesn't, it just makes his meals taste better. Also to the people that keep saying "he got bullied to death" it's because the ritual of chud helped them defeat it when they confronted their fears and Richie's or his token so happened to be Eddie. So in a messed up way, Eddie needed to die for the ritual to work/ be completed.
First off, if this was the 1990s Pennywise vs Art The Clown, it would be a tougher choice for me. They both act silly, but can become terrifying in a matter of seconds. The newer Pennywise just isn't scary to me. All the CGI just ruins it for me. Also, IT Chapter 2 was horrendous.
I was terrified of the original Pennywise when I was younger (he’s the reason i’m petrified of clowns), i’m not really too freaked out by the new one. I watched half of Terrifier, read the synopsis for the last half, and genuinely didn’t wanna sleep. The way it was filmed definitely has a lot to do with it.
That's how I am with Art! I love both but I always tell everyone that Art is scarier because he gives that human vibe. Like there can be people like that out there! Who just kill people because it's fun.
art is scarier, homie will make you feel everything before you die, he kills for the thrill and the gore. pennywise, from what we've seen, doesnt kill in a gore-y way.
INCOMPARABLE. ART is a true clown. PW is a “cosmic being”. ART scares the shit out of you just because.... PW can know your fears. You don’t need ART to shape shift. I think ART wins hands down. Plus..... you gotta dig the hat.
Pennywise knows what scares you the most, and uses it against you to cause fear. Knowing this, and putting it into perspective...Pennywise would either appear as whatever I was afraid of the most, or make me think I was in a situation I fear the most. Hands down Pennywise would make me the most frightened, and therefore making him the scariest by far.
This is really unfair considering how underground Art still is, not to mention that Art only has one movie to himself while Pennywise has three and is a creation of Stephen King himself
@@karmaisarmy6653 Like the video said abt Pennywise, he's not really a monster but more so a character, in all hallow's eve not only isn't art less fleshed out in his characteristics/manners (esp. considering he was played by a diff actor) but you have to wait until the last act for him to really shine, up until his short and the ending he's just a creepy clown who's there. In Terrifier he really comes into his own as a menacing character and that's really what I meant so to speak. Pennywise gets to shine right from the start in all his iterations.
Art the clown can stalk you and kill you any day of the year but Pennywise can only do it every 25 years. Hence you only have to fear Pennywise every 2 1/2 decades.
Well fuck. That would be cool. In fact...hell yes...demogorgon vs Alien would be cool. But you might as well say put the demogorgon in Clash of the Titans...pretty sure the result would be the same. Either Perseus or Medusa would win...
Art wins for gore against literally any other horror movie villain. Even Jason. I've watched probably 200 horror movies in my life and Terrifier is by far the goriest and most disturbing movie I've ever watched.
I met David Howard Thornton aka Art the clown, both actresses who played Dawn and Tara, the poor guy who had his head cut off and the director at Scare-A-Com last year.
Pennywise kills for hunger to survive Art the clown kills for fun They both would be the perfect duo Pennywise would use art's form while art would go around instilling fear on people
The characters are far too different to try and subject them to the same qualifications, art is more brutal and terrifying, while pennywise is clever and powerful
People always underestimate pennywise, but Blud ain’t got no chance against an immortal psychopath that your better off dying quickly to then survive it.
Is there anyone here that actually believes pennywise would win?😂 art is deadlier, basically has no weaknesses, preys on anybody not just children, doesn't rest for 27 years, more unpredictable so you can't plan for him, and literally doesn't make a sound whether he's in pain or laughing which is just fucking creepy. Pennywise can be stopped and art is an unknown deadly force with no origin.
@@Karma_267 matters not Marine. Fact is that Pennywise can and will frag you by utilizing both your personal fears as well as his never ending repertoire of shape shifting...so he can screw with you in 2 different manners. You ever heard of Psy ops??? Pennywise is the king 🤴

But that still doesn’t mean Pennywise doesn’t have a chance, he has literal powers while Art doesn’t. All I’m saying is, they are both quite strong, so I don’t really have an opinion.
*I just watched Terrifier last night and the movie itself wasn't scary but he looks horrible. A+ for that fit.*
Tbh id rather get killed by pennywise because he does it quick but Art the clown literally saws you to death.😰
Ye
you rather have your soul ripped apart? you do you ig.
Getting sawed in half and getting eaten is better than getting your soul ripped apart? The second option sounds better tbh @@SmokerNaruto
@@youngtuck yes its way better because you will go in afterlife. if you have no soul you simply stop existing at all.
Never thought Penny Was scary! Rember watching it as a kid and never scared me
Love how people say "pennywise relies on fear to survive" no he doesn't, it just makes his meals taste better. Also to the people that keep saying "he got bullied to death" it's because the ritual of chud helped them defeat it when they confronted their fears and Richie's or his token so happened to be Eddie. So in a messed up way, Eddie needed to die for the ritual to work/ be completed.
This is no contest! Art the clown is a legend!
John Wayne Gacy is the scariest clown 😳
Bitch yes
Just about to say this.. but it was based off of gacy...
Pedophile Clowns should have their own Top 10
Bitch please Author Flex/Joker is very real then Pennywise let face it we live in a society that abandoned him and treated him like trash.
TyrranicalT-Rad art would take him out
*bruh when Art cut shorty dead thru her box it was a wrap. dude scary as thee fuqq*
Penny wise not even scary they reaching I laughed through the whole movie
COULD PENNY WISE DEFEAT A TRUE SITH LORD THO ???A Sith carries nothing but HATE.
G
This needs an update because Terrifer 3
Art has more style & his funny in a Freddy Krueger type of way.
Same
Same here too!
I think Art was scarier to me, I can’t really explain why. But it’s that more human-ness that gets me
That's how I am with Art! I love both but I always tell everyone that Art is scarier because he gives that human vibe. Like there can be people like that out there! Who just kill people because it's fun.
@@nwhitcomb22 penny wise would rip art apart in one sec
@@xytshz7395 💀 nah
I think art is scarier to me, all I did was laugh during both the IT movies
art is scarier, homie will make you feel everything before you die, he kills for the thrill and the gore. pennywise, from what we've seen, doesnt kill in a gore-y way.
Would love to see another battle again now that terrifier 2 has dropped
If I can choose being trapped in a room between It and art, I'd prefer It.
so youd rather be in a room with a cosmic interdimesional godlike being then a human
@@Infrareddmusic Yea, I'd definitely choose a godlike being that's vulnerable to name calling.
@@sonic55193 he’s not not in the book
@EternalMustache from terrifier 2 we learn he is some sort of demon

imo, Tim Curry's Pennywise wasn't even that scary. he had too many great one-liners

@@Humptygotadumpy lol...fuckin love that Freddie Krueger remark. Hey...have you ever heard of my friend Shawn Spencer? Lol
skorpio156 Thank you
Tim's was scary AF
INCOMPARABLE. ART is a true clown. PW is a “cosmic being”. ART scares the shit out of you just because.... PW can know your fears. You don’t need ART to shape shift. I think ART wins hands down. Plus..... you gotta dig the hat.
Ok bud u can say dat but da true iconic horror clown is Pennywise
Pennywise knows what scares you the most, and uses it against you to cause fear. Knowing this, and putting it into perspective...Pennywise would either appear as whatever I was afraid of the most, or make me think I was in a situation I fear the most. Hands down Pennywise would make me the most frightened, and therefore making him the scariest by far.
Art is more realistic, so I think he's the winner
Everything about pennyweise is gold to me.
This is really unfair considering how underground Art still is, not to mention that Art only has one movie to himself while Pennywise has three and is a creation of Stephen King himself
He is in more than one movie
@dorothydreams oftornadoes That's why I didn't mention them because they're not based around him the way all the It movies are based around Pennywise
@@karmaisarmy6653 I know, that's why I said one movie to HIMSELF, the other movies he appears in aren't based around him the way Terrifier is
@@edvardmunchonthebox hallows eve is based around him..
Idk but I have a theory that Art feeds off of souls or chaos and death itself
I understand this came out before Terrifier 2, but Watch Terrifier 2 and Art is the clear winner LOL!
Art the clown can stalk you and kill you any day of the year but Pennywise can only do it every 25 years. Hence you only have to fear Pennywise every 2 1/2 decades.
Art only appears on Halloween

Do a demogorgon vs xenomorph holy shit that would be cool
i think neither would win, because if the xenomorph lost the acid blood would also melt the demogorgon
Ya but I would love to see it
Well fuck. That would be cool. In fact...hell yes...demogorgon vs Alien would be cool. But you might as well say put the demogorgon in Clash of the Titans...pretty sure the result would be the same. Either Perseus or Medusa would win...
You silly kids. What about Xenomorph vs Predator *wink*
@@RJIS already been done. And I'm no kid
Art is literally John Wayne Gacy
YES THAT'S WAT AM SAYING
Video idea : KSI forehead vs Pennywise forehead which is bigger?
This review would be more different after Terrifirer 2 cane out
A category for gore should be added to horror movie villains
Art wins for gore against literally any other horror movie villain. Even Jason. I've watched probably 200 horror movies in my life and Terrifier is by far the goriest and most disturbing movie I've ever watched.
Bre n yup
It doesn’t get better from a woman being cut in half from the hip down to keep her alive for the most time
I choose Art, because of his personality, he may be a clown, but he acts like a sinister mime.
Chuck norris : hold my beer
I met David Howard Thornton aka Art the clown, both actresses who played Dawn and Tara, the poor guy who had his head cut off and the director at Scare-A-Com last year.
Pennywise kills for hunger to survive
Art the clown kills for fun
They both would be the perfect duo
Pennywise would use art's form while art would go around instilling fear on people
Art the clown is more scarier
Pennywise is more iconic
You forgot to say that it can mess with reality too ... 😆
Edit : you didn't forget it 😝
As far as creepy horror clowns go I think Art's design is very pleasing. Pennywise is cool too BUT Art is just really great.
The characters are far too different to try and subject them to the same qualifications, art is more brutal and terrifying, while pennywise is clever and powerful
Pennywise using black magic
Art is a literally killer
Art the clown wins easy. He's way more terrifying (no pun intended).
I kinda think A clown with no history would be scarier but maybe not idk
Pennywise has low-tier omnipotence.
Art doesn't.
The end.

Who else is wondering what happened to Georgie after he got pulled in the sewers???
Pennywise coming out of the fridge is such an underrated scene🔥
Also Pennywise > Art it's not even close

If only this was uploaded when terrifier 2 was here
Lol yeah, also reallistcly art would beat the shit out of pennywise cause hes not scared of him

Team Pennywise 👇🏽
Is there anyone here that actually believes pennywise would win?😂 art is deadlier, basically has no weaknesses, preys on anybody not just children, doesn't rest for 27 years, more unpredictable so you can't plan for him, and literally doesn't make a sound whether he's in pain or laughing which is just fucking creepy. Pennywise can be stopped and art is an unknown deadly force with no origin.
