Clipper is an ideal pirate ship. Super fast, specialized for use of large limpet control, capacious cargo hold and heavy mass lock factor. On my rig I'm using four pack hound launchers and these can be very persuasive.
RandoCrypto the Cutter is probably the best pirate ship ever. The only problem I have is it often rams the other ship when dropping out of an interdiction. Even if I totally cut throttle. I once ran over and killed a shieldless asp instantly upon drop.
@@cmdrthreeofnine1006 I've never killed a trader but have gotten their hull under half a few times just from the interdiction drop. It's also not always as fun just becuase it's so OP. When you have 11,500 MJ of shields, you can be careless as long as they dont have torps or mines. Cobra MK 3 is the most fun pirate ship IMO.
RandoCrypto this I totally agree with, and the Sidey too. However, they can’t mass lock much of anything so 99% of miners will simply low wake and leave you talking to yourself. Since piracy now is very lucrative (I made about 100 mil in an hour one session), I built something that is a little less escapeable.

I'm a little surprised one of those condas weren't more fiesty. I know they are mining built but you can still make one of those tough to turn and put a dent in your clipper
I think the reason they don't bother is you'll never kill a clipper with a conda, you aren't fast enough to catch it. The most you can do is drive it off, which is waste of time.

Mostly because the "pirates" on xbox have pushed all the miners and traders to solo/mobius. If they were honorable it wouldn't be such a big deal but all they care about is kills.
if they start to charge the FSD he can just shut their FSD down with weapons before the charge completed for a high-wake, And if they low-wake he can just interdict them again and immediately go to shooting them that time.

Like that final asp who was just boosting away, not even using any defensive measures or trying to highwake away, with shields that can only take two hits from a frag cannon and no hull boosts. Yet these people then die to gankers and go cry on the forums about being killed...

Getrekt Yeah Right actually the majority of them ignore comms and run forcing me to use a batch breaker. They are rolling the dice as many pirates have a policy of running = death.

Means you can use some fast and cheap ships which some people are less afraid of. The mass lock of large ships does get you more time to hatch break which someone said somewhere. Are you using drag effect on missiles to slow them down?
This is why I don't play in open while mining. I just want to make the small amount of money this game gives out after doing hours of work. I don't want to lose hours of my life because of some pirates who are too lazy to mine them themselves. There is nothing respectable or honorable about being a pirate. If I got mugged and the person didn't kill me, they still mugged me.
@@fluffiestmallard6484 , you should be grateful some people actually do proper piracy. Most people are just murderhobos that will kill anyone in sight. Piracy is a fun and challenging addition to open as it adds some proper player engagement, and only normally involves taking cargo rather than killing people. It's fun for the sake of the challenge and the roleplay, and nearly all PvP pirates only take a portion of your goods, not the whole lot. Mining is so profitable now that even if you actually find a pirate, you will still earn millions from what you have left. Plus, there's plenty of time to run away, and the chance to fight off the interdiction. If you really don't want to be interdicted, just learn how to evade them and run away from players. The real issue in open are griefers, but that's another story.

That's what makes him the pirate he is. He respects the work put in and only requires his "cut" -- there's some honor in that. As much as I hate this about the game, he goes about it the right way.

I like cutter better for piracy myself. It's basically clipper but overall better except it's a bit slower (still plenty fast) and cant turn as well.
