I'm probably to brand loyal to run cam but I am still really happy to see other manufacturers coming out with better and better HD all in one cams like this, competition drives innovation and price so ita always a good thing for is the end user... 🥃Cheers🍻
Hey Albert Kim, thanks for your Video. Have you found out, what the white cable ist for? Is IT possible, to connect the red / black cable directly to a 3s-lipo-battery?
The camera seamed like the entire picture was in focus? when you had it on your table. Is this common? or something just with this camera? does it use a slandered 3 wire fpv transmitter?
nice review. Image quality looks better than the tarsier by a long shot!! I cannot stand the fpv feed on caddx hd cameras. So much so that on my iflight cinebee i swapped it out for a micro split 3!
I'm trying to decide if this would be good for my motorcycle helmet. Place the camera on the chin and hide the board just inside the chin part of the helmet. A gopro looks like a brick on the front of a helmet. Do you think it would be a good choice? How's image stabilization?
Hello! What difference is there between the image of split and split mini? the quality is inferior ?? Sorry but my English is not good and I can not appreciate your explanation in the video. Cheers !
Hello Albert, I have this camera. You know how to connect the "battery voltage measure" so that it marks the capacity of my battery in the image. In the manual does not explain it and do not find information about it. Cheers
dosent look bad at all, but that stack should be maximum 20*20, like why someone should put this on a 5 inch anyway? a 5 icnh can carry a go pro or other action cam with no problem
Do you like the Firefly Split Albert? I'm having a hard time deciding between Runcam Split 3 mini and Foxeer Mix 2. Now I have a third option which is the Firefly Split camera.
Thanks for letting me know about the latency. I was thinking about it last night but I couldn't find any information about it. I guess, you're referring to the latency on the dvr feed. Correct?
Allo Albert ,Thank You much for yet another to the point info vid , This cam kit has all i could need/use for my project ; e-bike rear view Cam+DVR . Q-> Any suggestion as to how i can have a reversed image ( mirror effect ) , Since it is with an micro HDMI output i could use that to wire up a small screen/monitor ,Thanks ; Reading comments on this review ,There are many who wright about latency ; To my understanding it is higher when using the VTX ? yes? and using the direct connection HDMI cable , Can that reduce latency as to make a rear view video feed usable / safe ?
I believe there is an option to flip the image in the settings but I don't remember exactly. I'm not 100% sure. Yes, the HDMI out can go to a monitor if you want to see the view of the camera.
Hello, everyone. Please I need help. In my goggles, I am receiving an image with a lot of "V" on screen. Why my HawkEye Firefly 4K Split is sending these image? I have updated the firmware. My goggles are ev800d. Thanks for any help.
how do you eject the sd card or power off your quad without corrupting the last video? this split is supposed to heal the last file by simply inserting it back and powering it on then ejecting after the first beep but that's not working
160 degree DIAGONAL, that's how they get ya. I bought that camera and when I re read the specs and found that subtlety I was not happy. (but... this camera captures nice footage so I forgive)

Great review, Albert! 😃
The footage looks beautiful! But the latency and FPV feed, from what I saw, are what is going to keep most people away. 😕
This would be great for a FPV Wing. Wouldn't mind trying it out on my wing. Like the fact it will work off Li-Po voltage.
Hmm, split vs. dual lens, something JB and Ciotti talked about on their stream just now. Dual lens seems like a better option to me.
Man, I just ordered the Foxeer Mix! I wish I would have known about this. Maybe on the next build. Thx.

Yeah, and now RunCam is finally making a 4K split cam too...
Hey Albert Kim, thanks for your Video. Have you found out, what the white cable ist for? Is IT possible, to connect the red / black cable directly to a 3s-lipo-battery?
Image quality definitely is actually good. The audio isn't bad either except that it cracks randomly. I wish it was 20x20 and a little lighter.
Nicola Guerrera yes,the next one Split Mini
Honestly don't know what to think!! you have one that say in the manual 7 to 25 V I have one that say really clearly 5 V..... any advice??
The camera seamed like the entire picture was in focus? when you had it on your table. Is this common? or something just with this camera? does it use a slandered 3 wire fpv transmitter?
Great review. Love the image quality. I fear the latency on a quadcopter so thanx to your reviews I ordered the Tarsier.
Looks great even the 1080p looks good. I don't really know if I'd pay $80 for it. The audio sounds pretty good, better than most.

I'm not sure if you'll like it or not. Hard to say. I think the image stabilization is OK... not as good as GoPro.
Looks really good!
Hello Albert!
is the microphone signal for recording only? Or is it broadcast live with the video too?
Cheers
Only for recording to the SD card
Hello! What difference is there between the image of split and split mini? the quality is inferior ?? Sorry but my English is not good and I can not appreciate your explanation in the video.

Image is almost the same. The main difference is the processing board is smaller now.
Albert Kim Thanks Albert !!

The cost and risk of having a gopro on your quad
Yes weight and cost... Something like these would be good for higher risk flights
Filipe Lemos yes,Firefly Split Min is 20*20
Do you like the Firefly Split Albert? I'm having a hard time deciding between Runcam Split 3 mini and Foxeer Mix 2. Now I have a third option which is the Firefly Split camera.
The image is nicer but the latency makes it hard to fly.
Thanks for letting me know about the latency. I was thinking about it last night but I couldn't find any information about it. I guess, you're referring to the latency on the dvr feed. Correct?
I just subscribed to your channel. :)
Great Review!!
👍😀👍
Thanks for the vid. Any idea if and when theyll do a 20x20 form factor? Would love to pair this up with a Byte Frost.
I think they are working on a 20x20 version but it might be a while.

Good video !
which battery will be good for this cam? I need it with minimum weight. I want to use this cam on DJI Tello.
Does the fpv signal come from the Hawkeye or is the transmitter a separate device?
Separate VTX
Hi Albert, do you know if it will connect to OBS and record from there?
This outputs analog video that you could use for OBS. There is no digital output from this camera.
@@AlbertKimTV thanks for the quick response, sounds like i need a capture card to convert analog to digital, then capture it on OBS. sound bout right?
Can we power this via micro usb port?
Can you connect the Menue-Port at the Board to the FC CC-Pad and control the Menue via Transmitter?
Andreas Kassner yes it works, you could check my channel
Could I use this camera (setting up previously the recording setting) as an action camera inside a helmet?
Should be possible but you need to power it off a battery and of course mounting it will all have to be DIY custom build stuff.
Thanks for the video! Did anyone test the hawkeye whoop split camera (6.5 g)?
I have one. Testing it soon...
@@AlbertKimTV still planning to review the hawkeye split whoop?
the tarsier is the one to go for
Hey Albert, Could you do a dvr mod to the goggles that come in the Emax Tinyhawk Rtf?
Hello, everyone. Please I need help. In my goggles, I am receiving an image with a lot of "V" on screen. Why my HawkEye Firefly 4K Split is sending these image? I have updated the firmware. My goggles are ev800d. Thanks for any help.

this split is supposed to heal the last file by simply inserting it back and powering it on then ejecting after the first beep but that's not working
I stop the recording manually before I unplug. This seems to save the file.
@@AlbertKimTV ok, so I guess there is no auto decorrupt yet, they listed that as one of their features.
160 degree DIAGONAL, that's how they get ya.
I bought that camera and when I re read the specs and found that subtlety I was not happy.
(but... this camera captures nice footage so I forgive)
I'm going to try this on a fixed wing. I think it will shine there.
@@AlbertKimTV lag is that bad for quad? (I've just bench tested it with the dogs)
Latency depends on the person. Some people won't notice it. I just happen to notice it on this one.
daslolo hi we will have a large FOV lens
Why is the lettering scratched off?
That's sketchy.
