Layer 1's out of danger track sounds like "Theres hope to get out of here".
Layer 2's out of danger track perfectly captures the "Fuck, where am I? How did I get here? How do I get out?" feeling the first time you get sent down to the land of breathing snow.

a lot of other people have already said this, but i love how it sounds so alien and bizarre but still really good to listen to, along with perfectly fitting the area

wiped 2 times cause i tried to jump to the other islands instead of trying to find a key
I love how it still has the main motif from the layer 1 themes as well as the chimes yet everything feels distorted and slightly jumbled to really give the feeling of "oh dear god where am i"

I returned to the deepwoken when the verse 2 droped. My build was trash so i wanted to wipe, i jumped to the void then woke up to this.

The way this is a sort of interlude between Killing Wind and Whisperwind is amazing, but I love that you (Appear to have) combined their visualizers to represent that. Amazingly ominous, you've got a real grasp on audio/audiovisual storytelling and I aspire to reach that level of talent. Commendations!

your music really makes deepwoken's atmosphere 10 times better, you can easily set just the right tone to any location. when i first entered layer 2 upon release i was lost and slightly creeped out, and when i heard this i was absolutely terrified, i knew i would likely not make it out of this place

This feels like an entity that's above you, you have no odds of winning and its presence is absolute. But hope (represented by the main deepwoken motif) is still ever so slightly present

Diary of Evus Juno, professional diver. This is a "short" story that I wrote in a few hours because I was bored, it's not good or anything but it's my first time writing a story. I change some mechanics about the game for story-telling purposes, like how the light hook works, but I tried to keep it realistic to the game.
Day 1: --Curiositas--
I've always been fascinated by the depths, yet just as afraid as anyone else. There are things we were never supposed to see down there, just as there are things we still have yet to see. However, I'm still a person; and as a person, my curiosity will always remain unsated. As much as I want to live, my hunger to know what's down there only grows stronger, feels like it calls to me, urging me to come; to ease my curiosity. It's probably not the best decision, but I'm thinking about listening to these urges. Ignoring them is getting too tiresome.
Day 16: --Dans ad tentationem--
I can't take it anymore. The moment I have nothing to occupy myself with, my thoughts drift away, daydreaming about what could be down there. Staying up here will do me no good. I've decided to go.
Day 18: --Cooptatione diem--
I heard about a group called "The Divers" yesterday. Decided to find them, and after some searching and asking people, I found someone by the name "Akira". He's got a bit of an attitude, but I shall bare it for my hunger of knowledge. I asked about joining this group, and he merely smirked, asking why I would want to join such a group. He informed me of the dire consequences, but those consequences I have already accepted. I told him I wished to know what was down there, in the depths. He looked shocked, possibly concerned, but he accepted my request. I have my first expedition in 30 days.
Day 48: --Prima expeditio--
We're making our way down tomorrow. On the ship, sailing right now. Turns out, we're going through a massive whirlpool. Nearly any normal person you'd find in a village somewhere wouldn't believe the size of this thing. It's nearly the size of a large boat! How fascinating. Still, though, getting caught in this thing without proper equipment and nobody around you would probably spell the end for you. I've got my suit on though, I'll be okay. We all will.
Day 49: --Descendens--
We went through the whirlpool. A part of the ship's hull got damaged by the whirlpool, and cut a good portion of the tendons in my right leg. I'll need someone to carry me to "Castle Light". Still, though, I'm excited to see this place.
Day 49.5: --Piscis giant--
On the way to castle light, we were ambushed by this giant... shark? It was unbelievable; had a form almost like a human, but with long claws, sharp teeth, small eyes, and coral growing from it's back. It's size was at least comparable to the height of 5 average-sized humans. I can't say for sure, though, which one was the real monster. That massive shark-human chimera, or Akira? He seamlessly conjured ice to attack it, and when it was limping, going for it's last wind as a desperate means to live, it's head simply... exploded. Just like that, it was done. Akira killed that thing without anyone's help. I wonder how that shark creature must have felt? If it could feel anything at all, that is. I feel like I learn more about this world than I ever have out there on land, far, far up from where I am now. Will I ever see the surface again? Well, who knows. I hope at least I get to understand the most I can about this world before I move on. It isn't so bad down here, though; after all, we have plenty of people alive in castle light. This place has a natural soothing feeling to it, almost as if all my fears about this place leave my body seamlessly the more I stay here. They also have decent food down here, albeit at a price. If I'm to survive as a Diver, I will need to go out there and get some spoils of battle for myself. That is, if I want to eat. Expeditions with other divers pay well, too, though. Can't do those every single day though, so at some point, I'll need to face that shark creature in combat alone. That is something I truly fear.
Day 52: --Pugna ad mortem--
I'm going out alone this time. All the others went on an expedition while I was sleeping. Though, I have to say, it is truly horrifying down here, all alone. Even a place like Castle Light is eerie while it's desolate. Long, empty corridors I pass through. My life may end here. I need to make money somehow for when they return, my pockets are empty, and I need to eat.
I found one of those shark creatures. It at first didn't see me, so I thought I could pull a sneak attack on it. Explosives are no good down here, so that was out of the question. I supposed I'd have to try to slice it in the back leg, cutting through it's Achilles tendon; hindering it's movement before the real fight even began. I prepared a strong swing, using all of my momentum from my hip turning, and my arms to swing. I cut through a good amount, but didn't get the strike I had wanted. The shark creature quickly turned around, swinging it's right arm with a slow speed. I managed to swing at the right time with my sword and parry it, but I knew I couldn't keep that up for long. Each parry fatigued me greatly. That is no weak creature, after all. Each swing felt like a large great-hammer bashing into me, and if I failed to parry any single attack, it would have been over. Suddenly, it kicked with it's injured leg after swinging, which left me dazed from the last parry. I managed to roll out of the way, but my left leg was still impacted. That leg was out of the fight for good. We then both had an injured leg; however, that massive brutish creature could still use a leg that injured. There were no openings to attack, either. However, I spotted one, amidst all of the strong blows my foe was sending my way. When it kicked, I could trip it if I got out of the way fast enough to ruin it's balance. I try this, and I manage to sidestep out of the way successfully, and push it's hip forward, while pulling it's left leg back. Surely enough, this had it's face towards the floor, perfectly open to a strong attack to the head. I stabbed it right in it's head, but my sword shattered when it reached the skull of that creature. Now defenseless, I try to flee. However, it shot projectiles out of it's head right to my right leg, immobilizing me. Now, on the floor, about to be crushed. It jumps wide in the air, land next to me, and prepares a stomp. Right before it lands, though, a blade of ice cuts right through it's leg. Akira had saved me. Akira then jumps and stabs right into the hole I made from earlier, killing that massive creature. My life could have been lost that day, but still, I was paid well for it.
Day 67: --Levis hamo--
New technology allows us to explore an entirely new region, much, much deeper. They call it a light hook. I'm going deeper soon, I've already seen a lot here. I must know more. I still hunger.
Day 68: --Descendens secundo--
The light hook is ready, I am now descending. Alone, this time. In these past weeks, most of my coworkers have passed. Akira is alive, but he's dwelling at castle light. He doesn't work often. I don't know what is down here, and I'm anxious to see. It's the only way I can sate this curiosity, though, and if I die in the process, so be it. This light hook should prevent that from happening, though. Or so I was promised. For now, I will sleep as I descend.
Day 69(bruh): --Second stratum--
It's cold down here. How does snow happen in a place like this? Is this even snow? I will have to research it while I am down here. More importantly, I will freeze before anything if I do not find a way to heat myself up. I found a tent on a cliff that I climbed, but inside it were these... terrifying creatures. They felt reminiscent of a human. Like a husk of what once was a person. All just emptiness, now though. What made them human is now absent, instead taken over by something much more sinister. They sounded hurt, confused. I wonder what made them this way? It hurt me to have to kill them, but I needed that tent. I set up a fire inside of it, using an application of the "song" known as flamecharm to produce flame which does not go out even depths this low. You learn some crazy things down here. I would've never thought I could use the song in such a way before I came down here. I will rest here for the night, if it even is night up on the surface right now.
Day 70: --Parasitus--
I've been exploring for a few hours now, my light hook is still connected and functional, but something bothers me. There are these weird eggs growing on my arm, and one on my leg. They're pulsing. I don't know how to cure this, but no matter. It doesn't hurt. It probably won't kill me just yet. I'll just use my light hook to get out of here if it gets bad. Itches a little, though.
I'll probably continue this once I fully explore layer 2, so I can get some inspiration.
Something to note, divers don't use whirlpools, they use the caves that sharkos use to get to the surface

The Eternal Gale: A land far unlike anything you've ever seen. Winds howl and batter the landscape as the snow seems to shift and move on its own. The Divers gave you a tether to pull you back to Scyphozhia, but warned you that your time would be limited. They also informed you of a city long forgotten somewhere within the frozen world of the Gale before letting you and three other souls descend into a world the Divers dare explore.
This ambience really fits layer 2 in my opinion. Like its mysterious but epic.
