    Just purchased my first brand new car that I'm picking up today, and I went with the HRV LX in white! Can't wait to make this my new daily driver.

    I just traded my 2018 Honda AWD CR-V EX for a 2020 HR-V AWD Sport. The main reason I traded was because of the gas/oil dilution problem the CR-V had and the fact I did not like all the Honda sensing features. They are useless in rural areas and I turned them all off. I’m in love with the HR-V. I chose the HR-V because it has the 1.8 liter engine with no turbo and no gas/oil dilution problem and actually has buttons for the heater controls. It has plenty of power and has no problem pulling out quickly in traffic. I’ve always purchased a vehicle with the lumbar support for my back which the HR-V does not have in any trims but the seats are so comfortable I don’t need the lumbar support. I chose the HR-V Sport over the LX because it has larger wheels which give me a little more ground clearance for my miserable driveway in the winter and it has the fog lights and updated infotainment screen. I do have to laugh at the armrest cubby though. It’s hardly big enough to put my fist in. It’s only big enough to hold a purse size hand sanitizer, phone charging cord and purse size Kleenex and some change so if you are looking for storage in that you will be disappointed. I don’t regret for a minute exchanging the CR-V for the HR-V. It actually rides better and everything is simple......just what I wanted in a vehicle.

      Hey Donna I have the same sentiments about the HR-V I'm looking to trade my 06 Civic for one. BTW that 1.8 engine you mentioned debuted in 2006 (the Civic I have) and has gone through 15 years of refinement so you can bet it's rock solid with no issues. In my Civic it still runs super smooth at 200K miles.

      Mike A better hurry if you want that same engine. I’ve read that the 2021’s are going to have the turbo engine because people complain it doesn’t have enough power. You might want to check that out.

    This would be “ almost the” perfect car for me if it had a temperature gauge instead of a light indicator with a manual transmission. Unfortunately most Americans have gone lazy about shifting gears ⚙️ and they’re more concerned about having a volume knob on there Infotaiment System instead of having The coolant or temperature gauge which is more important. I’m the type of person usually keeps cars for a long time and this would be a very good option if it had the options I mention in the beginning of my comment. The the last year you were able to get a manual transmission was in 2018 Bummer 😕 other than that I like the looks of it and how utilitarian it is 👍🏻

    Thanks for the review. I don't understand why Honda puts easy to use (read BUTTONS) HVAC and Infotainment controls in the LX model and stupid touch screen controls in the higher trims. Am I just old fashioned or what?

    • @mikea5205
      @mikea5205 4 роки тому +3

      Nope I like the base trim interior as well. I'm sick of touch screen in cars. Laptops and phone great....cars not so much.

      John McCormack I hated the HVAC controls on the touch screen. Have to take your eyes off the road too long to find the right position you want the heater blowing in and if you are lucky you won’t hit a bump in the road which makes you touch the wrong one. Then, have to start over again. Maybe I’m old fashioned too but I think that it’s unsafe.

    What!? I didnt know you could change the backup camera view!! Me and my wife just bought this exact trim as our first car love it so far. Been told about some possible transmission issues down the line (hence the extended warranty on it) but have had no issues yet!

    I really like this car. Question: does it have a console/cup holder in the middle of the back seats? I can’t tell with manufacturers pictures😳

    Many owners say the seats especially the driver seat is uncomfortable, not being able to find the right adjustment for longer trips and the cushion is somehow stiff. Is this true in your experience? Thanks

      I have not had any issues with it. But there are so many variables for something like this. Height, weight, body shape, back issues, etc.

    Just got the same exact model here. How to fold the side looking mirrors? Or I can only do it manually? (Couldn't find it on the manual guide book)

      The HRV only offers a manual fold of the mirrors.
