Fantastic well done!! i have done many restorations on these cosworths with John Talyor putting them back to show standard! took us around 8 to 9 weeks. then they would live in a tent! Happy days!
Absolute beauty. A car that i think we can all agree was well worth the effort and time restoring. Hard to imagine what these cars will be worth in the long run considering their value already.
OMG WOW beautiful. Definitely one of my favourite cars of all time my god. I have a focus rs mk3 and love it and will love it more when i take it in for the recall on gasket.
Brilliant work that lads saved another one from being broke up or shipped off, well I'm sure it found a home within 5 mins on the net,all I need is a lotto win..😂👍🏻
Really enjoyed that video , what a stunning car , and the amount of work put it to it to restore it 👌 just brilliant , must be a good feeling to achieve something like that 🤔
Coolant looks low, 10:45. I have the same car btw, v nice. Mines factory standard but i can appreciate the subtle mods on this. Like the wolf racing carbon tip spoiler too 👍
Desperately needs lowering to get that 'Tarmac rally car' stance - otherwise, its stunning. (Wish I'd have kept my 93 'K' Red, Lux model with a 'GGR 330' upgrade that I sadly sold 20 yrs ago) :(
Tiger moth my best friend had a imperial blue L reg lux in 1998 that was Graham good engineering he paid 20,000 for it back then he let me drive it round the block my head hit the headrest while I accelerated what a unforgetable experience never will forget it everybody staring I had butterflies when I came back 5 minutes later sadly he had it on finance and lost control of it he paid three grand to fix it new driveshafts and wheels front bumper damaged and splitter he had to sell it couldn't afford to run it any longer so sad.
I wish I had bought one when I had the chance 😂 my friend got one just before I was about to so didn’t go for it, ended up with an evo 7 fq300 instead, my friend went on to crash the cosworth two weeks after getting it trying to show off kicking the back end out from a roundabout 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
MJ RACING haha already watched it, one of the finest mk1 I've seen. In the early 80s I worked for a firm that prepared mk1 and 2s for stage rally as their welder fabricator so I know every single inch of the escort, I have a mk1 shell in a container unfortunately don't have the time at present but retirement looms and one day I'll build my independent rear suspension inboard disc dream. I know top work when I see it and you boys are proper nailing it.. respect from me and keep it up.
Mine has no rust at all it was wax sealed from new, never thought of making it a show car though, i'm a sprayer by trade unfortunately that paint job should of replicated the original paintwork, its got way too much thickness to it, basically it looks like it has been sprayed, apart from that and the twisted chassis it came out well.
That should have been a bare metal build. I bet the underneath just carried on rotting right the way through. Looks nice though obviously. What’s not to like
@@B3NN10N exactly mate. judging from the photos from the process they went through, I think its fair to say that they MORE THAN LIKELY triple checked for any little demons hiding anywhere. Full credit here what an amazing experience that must have been. I'd absolutely love to be part of a restoration on a car like this. awesome work.
Body filler makes me cringe. I wish they'd done proper metal repairs. I know it isn't easy, but I have seen it done by replacing panels, or cutting, welding and grinding, rather than filling..
Yes I agree I like the old stick heated and melted into cracks, gaps etc like they were all done back in the day,it's a lost or getting to be a lost art the old guy who did the metal work for boyde Coddington was a master at it but now it's get the job done quick, English wheel tappers ect will be extinct soon sad..
I almost bought one of these when they were new. now I want one again!
Very nice job
what a transformation , great job guys

yeh because they didnt focus on the underneath at all right?

Have you even watched the video you prat?!
Hell no. Jesus not everything needs to be a bare metal resto. Just a way of scamming those less in the know out of money.
Great work great car, I just don’t like the wheels...
Roda cinza ficou esquisito 🤔

About 6 months
@@MJRACING1 awesome work!

Cos all the smart people have snapped them up but they are still out there, we have a few we are chasing
