This band did a lot for the Tuareg nation because it spoke about our desert and our original homeland... so that the world knows the extent of our authenticity and our history in North Africa and that we are among the indigenous peoples.

New years eve 2022 i went out to a hut with no people around with some friends, we ate some shrooms watched the sun go down and played this whole album and it was the best NY celebration i've ever had. Ever since then i've loved Tinariwen and i listen to their music on long bike rides during hot sumer days. They are the perfect type of music for enjoying life on a bike and cutting through air at 30kmph! :D
