Oh my goodness! I love your videos. You truly make me smile and what fun things you stitch. Keep going with the flosstube. I'm excited when I see you've done another video. And homeschooling..wow!! I'm amazed at people who can do that. I was just happy to put my 2 kids on the bus everyday...lol.
I LOVE your little mail friends. And congrats on your GIANT finish! Hooray because it is amazing and hooray because it is done! I love your videos. Thanks for making them even though they can be tough to work in. Love seeing your beautiful face and beautiful stitching!
Love your videos Stephanie! I always LOL while you're talking to me. I never got scissor fobs either. Like what are they for? But jewelry for your scissors made me laugh 🤗. I love your projects. That cat on the bicycle is precious. And I agree that Dena is the best!! Everything is always good and fun when you're with Dena I feel! Thanks for making videos and keeping me company while I'm stitching!
I agree that cross stitching while kids do school work is great! Keeps me from being overly controlling and criticizing their mistakes. I started cross-stitching when my oldest learned to read.
Congrats on your beautiful finishes! I love your choice of magenta on the ship it is such a happy color. I also used to feel the same way about scissor fobs until I got one in a package and realized what a lifesaver they can be in helping you locate your scissors. Keep up all of your beautiful stitching and creating your fun designs ❤️
Lovely finishes! What an accomplishment to push through GHP....and now you're freed up to work on something you enjoy more. I bet your kids love it! The color scheme for Song of Solomon with the magenta ship is lovely. And I love both of the new Napolean Dynamite. Designs!! My hubby and I are huge fans so if I used my favorite quotes to fill a sampler it'd probably take up the whole wall in our living room.
Well I am just astonished at all of the stitching that you get done. And I admire, greatly, your drive to just finish the HP piece done even though you didn't like it very much. That to me is very, greatly admirable. It's beautiful too...I'm not tempted by it but I have to say, yours is the most pretty (is that a good word for the HP sampler? Not so sure) but anyway yours is the most stunning I've seen and it is all because of the fabric you have chosen. That is a piece to be proud of in many ways. Your Solomon Ship...wonderful! The Margaret Sherry, your setting that set for us...Christmas Day, cozy, children off playing....well I just could envision your slice of harmonious contentment myself. I love stitching on Christmas Day and that you had a finish is even more special! A trip to Fancy Works, always fun. I know who stitched that piece and it was very pretty. Cat toes...pretty on pedals and pretty in real life too...get me every time. Kelly at EGN is certainly #awesome, I admire her as well. And Dena, you hit the nail on the head with her too. Dena mad...not certain that is a reality in life either. Have an awesome week and a contemplative Lenten season.
Stephanie thanks for pushing through and getting your video to us your fan girls! Another fab video. I appreciate the lesson on scissor jewelry - I did not know they actually served a purpose. Your ship piece is amazing - what a color - looks fantastic. Congrats on your HP finish - yea I'm so not doing that pattern - but it is good to learn from these things as you have done. Fantastic to see you! Keep stitching!
White is the worst! And thank you for the scissor fob tip - I now have three made with little treasures that probably would have never seen the light of day again! Brilliant.
Stephanie, you are so sweet yourself. Thank you for the awesome tag! So happy you liked your scissor fobs. To answer your question, I have gotten angry on occasion....it takes a lot to get to that point for me, but when I do, it isn't pretty. I develop a very sharp tongue. So, I try very hard to handle issues before I ever get to that stage. I much prefer to be joyful. Life is too short. So enjoyed your video. 😄
yes, cross-stitch is the perfect hobby for homeschool moms! I stitch on my Napoleon Dynamite sampler during breaks in the day. (Also since it's a gift for my husband and I don't want him to see it!) love all your projects!! thanks for making the video happen despite your busy life! one day I'll have to make time to do videos. oh and...sorry, I railroad when I stitch with white. I didn't know another way to make it look nice. also I use Thread Heaven.
Awesome finish on the Harry Potter! The clouds factory people are not my thing so I think your awesome for finishing it! And I love love that tree grow one. And the cat kept my son entertained lol
Have you thought about Floche by DMC? It's a single strand and cotton. You could sub it in some situations, especially snowflakes. I'm using it in an iStitch Christmas sampler on hand dyed blue luguana. The suppose true reason for scissor fobs was that they would hit the floor first with handles 2nd and save the scissor points from hitting the floor first and ruining the points. Love your stitching. The magenta ship is stubbing. HP finish is quite the accomplishment. Mail - so very cute. Love it all.
Congratulations on your finishes! Wow! I just purchased my first ever cross stitch monthly subscription. I can't wait to have these lovely flosses arrive in the mail once a month. Thanks for making the video and pushing through.
"I was on Stash Unload" as all stories begin...lol. Congrats on finishing GHP! And I know exactly what you mean about wanting the option to wash your work. That's why I haven't tried a lot of the fabric dyers (since I tend to buy dyed fabric but use DMC). I know PTP fabric is colorfast so I've stuck with that. Love your videos!
Now I know what scissor fobs are for! I was the one who needed that info. I'm going to start a Margaret Sherry pattern soon. It's a bunny jumping rope with a strand of flowers. Congratulations on the finishes!
I always love your videos they always make me smile and laugh out loud at least twice. I think I snorted this time :) "dangerous chunks of snow" all i could think of was my kid telling me about chicken little lately. Your finishes are amazing....and EVERYTIME I see the song of Solomon piece I want to do it...but the color choices SCARE ME!
OH MY EFFING EFF YOU FINISHED GIANT HARRY POTTER! You are a goddess, you! Wow, wow, wow. I am so in awe. I agree that your magenta ship looks awesome. I can't remember if I voted for the green or the magenta, but it was one of them. Great choice. :) Absolutely adore what Dena did with your childhood jewellery. How stinking cute!
Your sense of humor makes me happy. You have no idea. Giant Harry Potter....WOAH....I can't believe you finished it. Amazing. Lucky kids. Good call on the ship being magenta. I'm not a pink person, but that looks amazing. That backstitch would kick my butt though. I abhor backstitch with every fiber of my being. I had the pleasure of meeting both Kelly and Dena in person last weekend. Both are just as sweet and wonderful in person if not more so.
Gosh, yes, rub it in why don't you. I already burst into tears when you said 'This is going to be epic,' in your latest vlog. Just kidding! Ha ha ha sniff sniff where the heck did I put the kleenex....
Wow! That magenta ship really does work well in SOS! It's fascinating how colors play together sometimes. You might want to try using a double running stitch rather than backstitch. You will get a finer line, and it is really perfect for the rigging. A lot of stitchers use a sharp needle for both types of straight stitch to get a smoother line, but I tend to use a short beading needle. Have you tried substituting a white silk for white cotton floss? Silk tends to fill in better, and it's not too much of a sacrifice to work with.😁
Congrats on your finishes--especially on finishing GHP. You have kind of interested me in Margaret Sherry, her animals are really cute. My wife can't see half the things I stitch hanging on the walls, but I stitch them for the mere enjoyment of stitching them. I hate diagonal lines that don't cross corners like that. Maybe you could try couching them at strategic places to hold them down? Thanks for the video.
Yay for finishing all the things ;) And i don't want to trouble you but all i could see in that new harry potter design was all the white stitching in the owl... Love your videos, hope you keep them coming :) Happy stitching!
I agree wholeheartedly wth what you had to say about Giant Harry Potter. It took my forever. May 2015 to Jan 2017. I just dreaded picking it back up. But I'm so happy I finished and I'm happy you are finished too. I even got so tired of it that I forgot to make my color changes to anyone wearing the Gryffindor colors. So the top half has the changes and the bottom doesn't. Oops. And I love that you made the Dark Mark. :) I'm glad I could help ya there!
So sorry I spaced out and didn't give you credit for the dark mark! I will try to remember to do that in my next video. I just was so DONE and didn't care to even talk about it. LOL
I love watching your videos! First of all, you remind me of my oldest daughter who is also a redhead. I'm a little partial to red headed girls, needless to say. :) What does that mean, needless to say, or does it mean anything? I digress. Your GHP is done...congratulations! I'm too old to have an appreciation for Harry I'm afraid, but I did get to see the very room where all the scenes in The Great Hall were filmed when I went to England a couple of years ago and oh my goodness that was impressive. I do love the Russian pattern-the expression on Harry's face is spot on and should be fun to stitch. The Ship is beautiful and I agree with someone else's comment that you might like couching those longer threads. Dena really is a precious lady and a delight to watch; she is a favorite of mine as is The Evergreen Needle. But I also think you are kind and thoughtful to mention others and their channels. You are spreading love and we all should do that more often. Middle school...the land of drama and could we skip that portion of our lives please. Did you ever watch Call The Midwife series on BBC? It was set in the fifties in London (in case you haven't seen it). You remind me of the women in that show...beautiful porcelain skin, natural beauty, women you would love to sit and visit with for hours. Have a wonderful day/week! Blessings, Marlene
Needless to say, I'm totally jealous that you got to visit the Great Hall. Couching is the best idea. I agree middle school is kind of like purgatory. And didn't get to watch Call of the Midwife, but enjoyed the book. You're so sweet to comment on my zombie skin in such a fashionable way. :) XO
Zombie skin my hind foot! Porcelain skin that many long for - perfect for that gorgeous red hair. Honey you are totally beautiful and it's not just skin deep. blessings, marlene
Love your FlossTube and I'm going to "steal" your segment idea for when I finally sit down and make one of these videos myself (been saying I'm going to do these for about a year now...yeah). First - having just stitched The Wedding (by Lavender and Lace) and being a fellow white stitching hater - I recommend using ANCHOR white instead of DMC. It's Anchor #1. I prefer their black (403) over DMC as well. LOVE your Song of Soloman WIP and completely forgot I have it in my stash (what!?) so after seeing yours, I feel the need to go hunt for my chart and get to kitting and stitching on that. I guess you changed the color of the ship (not sure?) but I love how yours looks, so may steal that from you as well. I think the "loose" back stitches or straight stitches (or whatever they are called) will most likely lie flat when it's stretched for framing. I'm not certain about that, though. Also love your RM and Antique Celtic WIPS - both are beautiful. Lastly, I was also an English major and haven't read GWTW yet, but it's on my stack here. I highly recommend Cold Mountain if you are looking for another Civil War era novel (much better than the movie, IMHO). Chessie and Me has some neat, smallish, "patriotic" designs you may like when you get in that mood again. They are NOT drowning in red, white and blue. I have a WIP which I THINK is called 1865 Sampler (that doesn't look right now that I typed it, so I'll get the real name to you ASAP). It does have yellow in it, which I'm not crazy about, BUT it's on gray fabric and looks really nice, I think. Just a suggestion cuz you mentioned the patriotic bug hitting you now and then. Let Freedom Ring is a BAP that just was released by Lila's Studio and I love it -- but it's huge! Lots of back stitching though, and you said you love that!! 😉. Thanks for the great FlossTube! Kevin (stitch maynia member too)
KEVIN! Of course I know you. I mentioned you as my 'cross stitch guardian angel' a few videos back for selling me your copy of that Julia Line L'Abre De Noe pattern. Which I can't want to start, by the way. :) You win the White Stitcher of the Year award with that Lavender and Lace pattern. It was gorgeous. So I'm definitely going to order some Anchor. What count fabric were you using and how many strands? Yes, I did completely change the colors on Song of Solomon. Are you a part of the Facebook group called "Embroidery Motifs from Old Dutch Samplers?" They have an album of tons of Song of Solomon finishes, and everyone has a different color scheme. It's fun to look at. I will always take a book recommendation from a fellow English nerd, so thank you. Off to look at the patriotic pieces you mentioned. What are you waiting for? Make those videos, friend! :)
You crack me up!! "I'm sure that was education for NO ONE" hahahahaha. I did not know what a scissor fob was for the longest time either. So don't feel bad. haha
Lots! Of progress and congratulations on finishing giant Harry Potter! I have a huge problem with white too, I think in part all floss starts out white or natural so they either dye or bleach to achieve a color but white doesn't get dyed. Hand dyed has dye attached to it so makes the thread thicker, it also isn't shiny because of the dye so it's not opaque and the light sort of goes through or bounces off, not sure what but it sucks. So I like hand dyed white, I dye it white then dye it again and if that doesn't look right I try pearle cotton and if that doesn't work I try crochet cotton. Any time I order hand dyed floss I order a white and a black constantly seeking the grail coverage. Loved the video as usual, you make me smile and you're gorgeous so geeky teen blossomed! Lol 🙋🏼🤗🇨🇦
Napolean Dynamaite!!!! Congrats so much on the finishes! I can't believe you knocked out your Giant Harry Potter. It looks gorgeous. FYI, I twiddled that floss, it doesn't come that way...lol. It was for storage sake :)
You crack me up! ...quitting is not an option and you liked it so little you just finished it? lol. I need to dislike my patterns less. ha, ha. What a great peice to display. Not sure I am brave enough to tackle that one.
I thought it was scissor jewelry too 😂 I was thinking it was a bit much.. Why the hell do people need this. The more you know 🌈Congrats on giant Harry Potter finish! I have a piece I dread (but is pretty) that I need to dedicate myself to finish.. That took some real discipline! 👏👏
I confess that I purchased the first napoleon dynamite pattern you put up as soon as I saw it and now I'm restraining myself from getting the second one LOL. We will see how long I can hold out. Amazing!!
On your long stitches on your ships sails maybe try going back and doing a couch stitch every once in a while on top of the long stitch They don't show very much and will hold our long stitch in place.
Donna Dorman I was going to mention that as well having just watched another video on using crouching instead of back stitch in some areas. Great minds ........or great taste in viewing. Lol
About the back stitches. Try couching them. I learned about it from pyrex stitches in Australia. The episode about!her Miribilia, Gypsy ?????? It is about a year old.
Loving the work Stephanie. Kudos on completing GHP - I would never attempt that. Love love love Song of Solomon, but noooooo to the back stitch. In fact, as you enjoy back stitching so much, can I send mine to you? My life would be so much richer without backstitching. Final thought - how the flip do you just hold your pieces up to the camera and have them perfectly centred first time? So not fair 😒 Best. Philip x
YES. The answer is yes, I will do all your backstitching as long as we both shall live. Just send me the Town and Country Mouse and we have a solemn deal. You don't have to frame it first. Shipping is expensive. As for the camera, my screen isn't mirrored like yours, so I don't have to do things backwards. It's magical. XO
I have the same issue with white and occasionally some of the other really light DMC colors...what is it with DMC white and black that makes them such a pain to work with, haha. And I'm the same when it comes to coverage...one of my very first pieces was 3 over 1 on 18ct (also my last piece on Aida) because the coverage with 2 strands didn't work with the black in the pattern. Looove the colors of the Color and Cotton floss! I've never heard of them before, but now I'm dying to try them (and colorfast too!!!). Beautiful!
You homeschool?! We homeschool too yay! I am interested in Giant Harry Potter, but now after starting the Star Wars Alphabet from Clouds Factory, I'm not so sure. The little people take much longer than I had anticipated!
Love the magenta ship! I saw your Instagram poll and saw it going green so I didn't weigh in with my magenta choice but I did a little victory fist pump when I saw the magenta coming out ;)
I suffer from FOMO and I almost bought the giant Harry Potter and I don't even care for the books or movies! LOL. Now I'm trying to stop and think about it more before I get too enabled when I see something someone is stitching. I still get enabled, but at least I think about it for a second before I hit the checkout button. LOL I know what you mean about long backstitches. Sometimes, I've done a teeny tiny tack stitch from the back about midway on the length of the long stitch. It holds it down but you can't see it. The cross stitch police would probably be appalled, but I'm good with it.
I was looking at my Free Hugs piece hanging in my craft room yesterday, and I really think I need a Free Kisses piece to hang next to it...perhaps featuring a Dementor? If you make it, I will buy. :)
I planned for it to take me a year to do Giant Harry Potter last year and I did it in 3 months. lol Not really sure how, I was obsessed. I even worked on 2 other projects 2 weeks of each month. I did it on aida so I'm giving it to my sister and doing it again this year on Lugana with color changes to match the books. I'm crazy!!
You will have it tight when you frame the ship so I wouldn't worry too much but if it really bothers you could leave the stitches but couch over the looser ones
I LOVE Napoleon Dynamite!! My favorite scene is the dance scene, of course, at the election. Videos take a HELLA long time and preparation to do! And I totally sympathize with the mess AFTER the video is shot. I look around and I'm like, crap, now I have to put away all this shit!!! haha. But I totally appreciate you making videos, as I love you so much, girlie. I know I will be making more comments as I get through your video!!
Maybe that is Dr Who snow from one of the Dr Who Christmas episodes. Love your Napolean Dynamite chart....I love Deb's caboodle myself. That Giant Harry Potter is magnificent.
I love your videos! Im in awe of the giant Harry Potter - it is magnificent and I admire your determination. I love your humor and it makes your designs so much fun - NAPOLEON 😁. Your stitching is lovely. How in the world did you manage to buy Harry and the Owl?? I tried and could never find any way to order it. Wishing you lots of blessings. Thanks for sharing your talents with us.
I've heard that scissors fobs should have some weight so if your scissors fall, the fob hits the ground first, protecting the points of the scissors blades.
magenta was definitely right choose for ship, you might want to try couching the longer stitches. Come up at one point ,down on the other. On the back come up one or two places writhe same thread, then u can tie off where you started. The thread doesn't show through. Your tension is set and keeps the shape of line you want . Lord, I always mess up a word or two. My directions seem drawen out, hope it works for you. Enjoy your videos.
OMG, you crack me up? How many patterns did you buy this month that you're probably never going to do?!?! Too funny! On a serious note, tho, I do love your Harry Potter that you finished....just WOW! But I like the Russian one you just bought alot...love Hedwig....please do that one eventually. Take care.
LOVE your Song of Solomon!!!! The magenta ship is perfect! Would you be able to share your color scheme with me? I want to do this pattern so badly, but I am really loving your colors. haha
It occurred to me last night that you mentioned "Fancy Works" as your LNS. I am pretty sure I am familiar with them. Is that near Bloomington IN? I used to visit them when I drove up from Bedford, IN, to go to JoAnn's. Have not been there in years as I now live in Ecuador. The last time I was there, someone offered to mail things to me in EC. Now that I have a way to actually get mail, I am going to see if they still do things like that. PS - I will look for the Pyrex stitcher video and send you the number. She was advised to use it for the face of her Miribilia and the result was much better.
Lol. I can't stand when they yell at me from across the house! They're 6 and 10. I've started ignoring them until they come to me. We homeschool, too! Today we were learning about ancient China so I decided to pop in Mulan (why not, right?) and I had the kids work on Mill Hill kits while we watched. It was perfect. I love homeschooling!!.....sometimes 🤦🏻♀️
do you know if Color and cotton is also a brick and motar or just has website? they are real close to me if they do. love your finished Harry Potter by the way:) I am going to have to buy the Let's Hibernate! Too cute!
and there's nothing stopping you from changing out the colours in a Mira. I'm doing Persephone but no freaking way am I having all that teal in the house. And on 32ct 2 strands is plenty. Especially if you drop the needle every row or so. I don't railroad either!
My first was her Sleigh, then I did Stargazer. Those are both as charted, but I started to tweak when the odd colour didn't work on the fabric and now it's like a disease...
Do you ever donate your patterns the ones that you don't like doing anymore? Do you ever do a give away of any kind? The reason why I'm asking is because I would love to have the Harry Potter pattern,8 but I could never find where to buy one or get one for free. would you please show me the website where you bought yours. Thank you in advance
Well by golly jeepers....You sure know how to make a gal blush. So does this mean...it's getting pretty serious?? We do chat online for like a lot of days... And I can tell you first hand that Dena is a riot! She comes alive in a group :) You should move down south for a bit.... I could raise a few bucks and bring you out for a few days. All I have to say is wow. WOW. Giant HP, family portrait, trees, pink ship, etcetera, etcetera. All so so good. And welcome to the dark side. I have Ashley's Roses too but totally never looked at the stitch count. WOW. If it didn't have so many blends I'd do it over one. Just start one and see where it takes you. Anyways, Peace out. Kelly P.S. Always and Forever P.P.S. Your fat lard is really cute. Looks like he eats his dinner.
Well I don't know. I'm getting a little T-O-ed because you won't send me a full body shot. (just got gross shivers just typing that. sorry). Ya....you're right. I should just start one. All the cool kids are.
hi I just wanted to let you know that I love your videos. and I'm sorry that you don't want to do a patriotic piece. if you ever is looking for another fellow Stitcher that's willing to stitch that I would love to do it for you. I've been on a lookout for all patriotic stuff. anyway just trying to help you out thank you for your videos

You're too sweet. Come to Indiana. :P
Homeschooling Mama of 9. Cross stitch keeps me sane on so many levels! Yes so much better than washing 4 dishes. You rocked the finishes! Way to go!
"Homeschooling Mama of 9" also known as "AN ANGEL AND A SAINT." You go girl!
Glad I wasn't the only scissor ignoramus. :)
Holy shit!!! You finished Giant Harry Potter!!!!! OMG. It's amazeballs!!!!!!!! When you held it all up, my mouth fell open. Haha.
I agree that cross stitching while kids do school work is great! Keeps me from being overly controlling and criticizing their mistakes. I started cross-stitching when my oldest learned to read.

Congratulations on your finishes! Love those color safe flosses too 😊
Stephanie thanks for pushing through and getting your video to us your fan girls! Another fab video. I appreciate the lesson on scissor jewelry - I did not know they actually served a purpose. White is the worst! And thank you for the scissor fob tip - I now have three made with little treasures that probably would have never seen the light of day again! Brilliant.
Woo hoo!
Stephanie, you are so sweet yourself. Thank you for the awesome tag! So happy you liked your scissor fobs. So, I try very hard to handle issues before I ever get to that stage. I much prefer to be joyful. Life is too short. So enjoyed your video. 😄
Congrats on finishing the Giant HP!
Love the magenta ship.
I am obsessed with Harry & the owl. It's gorgeous. I bet it has loads of backstitch ;)
It actually doesn't look too bad. :)
yes, cross-stitch is the perfect hobby for homeschool moms! I told you not to mention 'method-that-shall-not-be-named-because-who-has-time-for-that.'
My husband loved that Here there be monsters is a family portrait. Anchor #2 white has always covered well for me.
I'm about to order some!
Your cat is the cutest !!
Awesome finish on the Harry Potter! The clouds factory people are not my thing so I think your awesome for finishing it! And I love love that tree grow one. And the cat kept my son entertained lol
Thank you! Glad Walter served his purpose.
Thanks Marsha! You're the second person to recommend Floche, so I'm definitely going to try it out.
Congratulations on your finishes! Wow!
I just purchased my first ever cross stitch monthly subscription. I can't wait to have these lovely flosses arrive in the mail once a month. Thanks for making the video and pushing through.
I'm excited too! :)

About using white floss: try Anchor 01! I prefer it over DMC for both white and black!Hope this helps, Stephanie.
Now I know what scissor fobs are for! I was the one who needed that info. I'm going to start a Margaret Sherry pattern soon. It's a bunny jumping rope with a strand of flowers. Congratulations on the finishes!
Sounds adorable! :)
I totally understand. Not sure I'll be venturing out with the pick-you-own color pieces anytime soon.
Well Miss Lindy my eyes popped out of my head at that magenta ship- awesome x
Thanks lady. :)

You're too sweet. :P I watched your video but forgot to comment. Off to remedy that. :P
I LOVE getting Stephanie's fabrics from Ebay! I have bought quite a bit that way. Love the Abyss fabric.
Great video as always. I am not a HP fan but OMG, that is a huge piece! Amazing work on The Ship. The colors are stunning.
Thanks McKenna!
Oh, and one more thing... (see I'm doing this in segments, just li,e you)...the magenta ship is glorious!
Hey fellow homeschooling mom! Enjoyed your video very much. Great accomplishment on Giant Harry Potter.
FIST BUMP!
Der...we did talk about Austin. Excuse my cold/flu medication brain fog...
Silk tends to fill in better, and it's not too much of a sacrifice to work with.😁
Thanks for the great suggestions, Jeri!
Don't know why I didn't think about couching. Yes. Duh. :) I kind of wish I wasn't so practical and could stitching whatever.
Yay for finishing all the things ;) And i don't want to trouble you but all i could see in that new harry potter design was all the white stitching in the owl... Love your videos, hope you keep them coming :) Happy stitching!
Yes I did notice that....sigh.....:)
LOL
lindystitches Oh you are fine. I totally understand! :)
You win the White Stitcher of the Year award with that Lavender and Lace pattern.
So don't feel bad. haha
Lindy you are such a beautiful girl you remind me of a girl from the 20's era. Beautiful work happy stitching Xx
Lol 🙋🏼🤗🇨🇦
Constantly seeking the grail coverage. LOL! Yes. Let me know if you find it.
I am really interested in this as well. Following... :)
Napolean Dynamaite!!!!
Congrats so much on the finishes! I can't believe you knocked out your Giant Harry Potter. It looks gorgeous.
FYI, I twiddled that floss, it doesn't come that way...lol. It was for storage sake :)
I'm a doof.
Never! Now, get yourself together and start some Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy charts!!!! J/K :D
You crack me up! ...quitting is not an option and you liked it so little you just finished it? lol. I need to dislike my patterns less. ha, ha. What a great peice to display. Not sure I am brave enough to tackle that one.
I know. I'm waiting for myself to make sense. Oh well. Go with it. :)
Hahahaha glad I'm not the only ignoramus around here.
Great video.
I confess that I purchased the first napoleon dynamite pattern you put up as soon as I saw it and now I'm restraining myself from getting the second one LOL. We will see how long I can hold out. Amazing!!
You are too sweet. :)
On your long stitches on your ships sails maybe try going back and doing a couch stitch every once in a while on top of the long stitch They don't show very much and will hold our long stitch in place.
I don't know why I didn't think of that....
You would have eventually! :)
Those little people. They do take forever.
Love the magenta ship! I saw your Instagram poll and saw it going green so I didn't weigh in with my magenta choice but I did a little victory fist pump when I saw the magenta coming out ;)
LOL. Victory pump. Indeed.
enjoyed your video ....... love your work
Thanks Bev!
Giant Harry Potter. No. Just no. There's no FOMO.
I was looking at my Free Hugs piece hanging in my craft room yesterday, and I really think I need a Free Kisses piece to hang next to it...perhaps featuring a Dementor? If you make it, I will buy. :)
Darla Beckerson NOW THAT IS AN AWESOME IDEA!!!!
I'm crazy!!
THREE MONTHS!! Did you eat or sleep?!!
You will have it tight when you frame the ship so I wouldn't worry too much but if it really bothers you could leave the stitches but couch over the looser ones
Sounds great.
So enjoyed all your comments. Yes, the mess. As if it isn't hard enough. I'm not even eating anything. ha ha :P
Pyrex stitches, #34, April of 2017, Mirabilia, Gypsy Queen, stunning, she explains how she did the couching and why.
Maybe that is Dr Who snow from one of the Dr Who Christmas episodes. Love your Napolean Dynamite chart....I love Deb's caboodle myself. That Giant Harry Potter is magnificent.
Deb's caboodle!!!! UGH!! SO wish I would have thought of that!
Hi Sandy. I contacted the Instagram account _artstitch_ and they gave me the designer's email address.
Thank you
I've heard that scissors fobs should have some weight so if your scissors fall, the fob hits the ground first, protecting the points of the scissors blades.
What! Scissor fob science! Amazing! :)
magenta was definitely right choose for ship, you might want to try couching the longer stitches.
Couching is perfect. I don't know why I didn't think of that.
OMG, you crack me up? How many patterns did you buy this month that you're probably never going to do?!?! Too funny! On a serious note, tho, I do love your Harry Potter that you finished....just WOW! But I like the Russian one you just bought alot...love Hedwig....please do that one eventually. Take care.
What! I'm going to do them all, of course.....maybe.... :)
Oh wow, that magenta ship 😍
Oh, you know I have that, right? lol.
LOVE your Song of Solomon!!!! The magenta ship is perfect! Would you be able to share your color scheme with me? I want to do this pattern so badly, but I am really loving your colors. haha
Absolutely! DM me on Instagram or Facebook and I'll shoot it to you. :)
Anchor White!
Serious??!? I have wondered...do you know what the number is? I need to add it to one of my shopping carts lol
Ecru and 02
Magical xxx
I love Ashleys Roses but hate all that white. What about using a pale blue or pink?
I thought about that. I really like the white dress, though. :(
It occurred to me last night that you mentioned "Fancy Works" as your LNS.
Too cute!
No she doesn't have an actual store. :) Thanks for your sweet comment.
Did she call me bum? *slow tail wag--the cat
Kids. Keeping it real since ages ago...
and there's nothing stopping you from changing out the colours in a Mira. I'm doing Persephone but no freaking way am I having all that teal in the house. And on 32ct 2 strands is plenty. Especially if you drop the needle every row or so. I don't railroad either!
Glad to hear it! I thought about changing the colors, but I really want to do my first Mira as charted.
My first was her Sleigh, then I did Stargazer. Those are both as charted, but I started to tweak when the odd colour didn't work on the fabric and now it's like a disease...
Do you find Sherry Margaret patterns easy to stitch?
yes!
Yes, I do, but the HP pattern is a digital pattern which can't be shared. I got it from Clouds Factory.
Anyways,
Peace out.
Kelly
P.S. Always and Forever
