Thank you Sir, you have always shown other Afrikans writers to write in their own mother tongue .. why write in or communicate in our former colonizers tongue hence enabling neo-colonialism and enriching their cultures over ours.Decolonization is a must...

[07:05] My experience meeting Vice-Chancellors from Nairobi in 2010 was quite different. Their vision was that graduates should first contribute to clean up the mess in the Kenyan civil service, left by decades of corruption and the dictatorship of Arab Moi (1967-1978).
In practical disciplines like business, engineering, and applied sciences graduates need to have required competences, and international standards are the only relevant ones. Critical thinking, problem solving and originality are part of an international curriculum, but first basic skills must be learned.
The context has changed substantially and 50 years after independence it is time to take responsibility, be smart and copy or import what is useful, while preserving identity.

I don't think anyone is debating whether or not colonial languages have beauty. The point is that indigenous languages are beautiful too and need to be empowered. To use someone else's language is, to some extent, to approach the world from their perspective. We validate our languages, cultures and identities when we write in our own languages.
