Came to the comments to see if anyone else noticed. I wondered why the drill wasn't just melting through the OSB, then realized what kind of bit it was.
Fantastic vid, enjoyed watching this immensely. Just bought my dad a basic smoker off eBay but may have to try building one for myself now. In Croatia I had smoked chicken out of some little village smokehouse, definitely something to try as was the best chicken I've ever eaten. Cheers gents!
Im glad you enjoyed it. Hopefully you can get some pointers and make your own one now. Okay great I will have to give that a try, it sounds amazing. Thanks for the comment!
@@TheOutdoor_Guyhey buddy I am here purely for the sake of your safety. I promise you i dont wanna be an ass like some people. Please I know u worked hard on it and it is a beautiful job. But please dont eat anything else outta this. If you do line the inside walls with cedar and take off the lead. These guys aint lying man its not good for you at all. You would be poisoni g yourself and if you have kids them as well. Please listen to me buddy. Its all love from me man.
unrelated, but could you do a quick walk-through video on the Salvimar Deeper diving watch i saw you had on in earlier videos. im new to freediving and just bought the watch and it didnt work on my last dive :)
This video makes it looks so easy to build a smoker which I've gotten a sudden crave to do. Only problem is that I am not a DIY man at all! Would be much appreciated if you could tell me how much it cost to build.
Apart from the screws, hinges and a few other bits I got the rest for free as i had it laying around at home. But if you were to add all of the materials up i would reckon it would cost roughly £200
That is absolutely brilliant! Beautiful little project, fantastic attention to detail, I’d be massively happy if I’d built that. Those mackerel fillets looked lovely. Top work mate! 👌🏼
Great, but have you thought that the OSB board is glued and that harmful substances will be released during smoking? Probably better made of real wood. Of course, that's just my opinion.
@@TheOutdoor_Guy In my experience it will be rather difficult because even if you make a smoker from wood, wood likes to "cry" after many years. Warm greetings for U.
Cool project, what kind of fireboard have you used? thought about using glasroc or supalux but saw many advising against it. I've recently seen vermiculite fire bricks (1 inch thich, pretty cheap). Also saw vermiculite sheets but very expensive. But the stuff you used ain't vermiculite, what's that?
OSB and lead ?
I'm so glad I'm not the only one disturbed by that
cool vid but cringed slightly when you used a masonry drill bit on wood 1:53
My bad, thanks for watching

That lead flashing gonna add great flavor
Everything about it is wrong 😂
How? It is on the outside, and there is no heat to it?
You tried it? Does it taste like chicken?
@@justiceminer5423 no tuna
@@justiceminer5423 perhaps it taste like glue ?
I'm coming over for supper!👍🇺🇸
Right on!

Nice build. 30 seconds in I was like "I don't have a old wood burner" watched anyway.
Well congrats on saving yourself $3,000 - $6,000, haha. Awesome. Loved it.
Yes! Thank you!
How do you control the drip from the meat
I just put a tray on a raised platform
Awesome Build
I'm glad you like it
Isn't the fire board toxic?

It's happening, I'm in the process of making one. It will be out in the next couple of weeks 👍👍
@@TheOutdoor_Guy you rock buddy!
good build! Seems like it could be too hot, how do you regulate temp?
Thank you. It was at first, i just make sure not to put too much wood on at once, it took a couple of goes to get it right. Thanks for the comment.

@@TheOutdoor_Guy that's pretty damn cheap! Might just give it a go if I get a chance.
@@TheOutdoor_Guy but cheers for your response.
@@redbaron1001 Just don't use OSB, use natural wood. Thats something I have changed on mine. The osb is toxic
@@TheOutdoor_Guy thanks for letting me know!

Thank you very much, glad you enjoyed it. It fits in quite well in the garden
Holy mackerel!
Awesome build thanks for sharing.
No problem 👍
Good work.
Thank you! Cheers!
Kippers coming right up
Haha thanks
How you get draft from the stove without chimney ??
It just happens ahha. I nearly installed a small valve on the side allowing some air flow but there wasn't any need, it works fine without it.
Awesome job👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much 😀
I'm liking your choice of music, not some stupid electro thing
Thanks

Will it all burn off after time and a lot of heat? Ive had the smoker going with nothing inside in hopes it will burn most of the glue out

I’m always amused by the keyboard “experts”, with no how to videos of their own, hyperactively criticizing people who do whatever on here😂
Awesome
Thanks

I will have to get back to you on this one. My father picked these up for me so I will have to ask him
I just hope it’s not AiB
Were you in a race to complete this? Did you win?
Why not build entirely with stone material, bricks, steel plates?
When its a fish eye lense but no really some people just suck at cutting
Your English sucks 👍
I got dizzy watching then had to vomit from all the camera swing
awesome content as usual!
Thank you. Much appreciated
cool!!!
Thank you 👍👍
thats a drill for concrete
Seen. The only one i had at the time. Did the though didn't it
Lmao 🤣 That’s what I thought
Holy Mackerel!
Haaa
Nice
Thanks
Cracking project. Thanks for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it 😁
We did not enjoy. You are teaching. How to make toxic food ??
@@katjafalla8249 I did enjoy it very much. In the UK when we say "Cracking" we mean its fantastic.
🤘😝🤘
Osb should not be used with all the glue
I would personally never build any fire hazard related next to wood fence, but ok.
Haha noooo. The glue. Awesome design though
🙈
I see you're not very skilled with your handy work
Yeah cheers mate. Great comment
Looks good to me .
