- ECS is a powerful managed AWS service that handles deploying your Docker containers onto the cloud and at scale. In this video, I explain to you what ECS is, followed by a practical walkthrough of how you, the user, interacts with ECS.

Thanks for the great quality content, can't wait for more!
You’re much appreciated for the details you share about the dev stuff and the tools, books, recommendations you mentioned in your description section. Good minded person you are!
My pleasure!
Thanks so much! It is so so helpful. The kind of content you have, soon you will have a million subs.
Great vid with a really understandable explanation on how ECS works.
Glad I could help!
At the time of watching this, there are over 3k views and only 114 likes. 🤷 what the hell? Of all the explainers on ECR that I have watched this morning this is the best!
Thanks Shawn! I'm not sure why this video hasn't done well, I put a lot of effort into it! Glad you enjoyed, though!
@@BeABetterDev don't give up. keep pushing
Take a look at those numbers now! Lmao that’s cool to see
@@BeABetterDev it’s doing well now
Looking into whether ECS is worth using for a new project and this video answered pretty much every question I had about it, perfect!
Thank you so much, This made me understand my project very easily.
Really clear explanation, thanks!
Great Explanation Must watch tutorial !! Thanks for uploading
Thanks MWAM!
After watching 6 videos about ECS, I only understood this one... great job!
Thank you so much for having such a helpful video. Love it.
You're very welcome Hamza!

Your videos are THE BEST!
Glad you like them Carlos!
Amazing overview, thanks a lot.
You're very welcome!
Thanks, great video!
Hi Daniel, I have mostly learned about AWS by watching your videos, they are so well explained!! Can you also make a tutorial on cloud map and service discovery please? :)
Hi Sagarika, thank you for the kind words! I will definitely add Cloudmap to my list of TODOs. Cheers!
@@BeABetterDev Thank you so much, Daniel for considering my request! I am on cloud nine seeing your reply. You are truly a great tutor!
such clear explaination
Thanks Deepak!
Excellent presentation! Could you please make a video on how to decide the resource requirement (e.g. memory) for an ECS task ?
Great explanation!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent very clear !
Glad it was helpful!
Amazon should hire you for their educational material. Your videos are probably the best I’ve seen.
they hired him ~10 years ago
Really clear explanation
Glad it was helpful!
The tasks here are like the docker compose. Got it)
Nice explanation, please make a video on how to deploy WordPress in aws ecs in a realtime
Good job.
Thank you
Loved it
Thanks Dev!
Great video! Btw, do you really need to containerise a database?
thank you so much
You're very welcome !
Muy buen video!!! Consulta, el cluster sirve también de balanceador o se debe poder un load balancer?. Gracias!!
Thank you and appreciate the clear explanation of the concepts. Could someone please clarify if ECS service offers redundancy in the event of an EC2 instance failure by relocating all active tasks to a healthy EC2 instance, provided there is enough capacity to accommodate the new tasks? If so, could someone provide a link to AWS resources for further information?"
Awesome video +++++++++++ 🙂
Excellent explanation. Thank you
thank
Hey man, if you're sort of new to all of this, would you recommend skipping ECS and sort of go directly to learn EKS ?
Hi can you do a video on ECS anywhere , thanks
10 containers of task 2 which is a database. how that will work? the data will be split?
Hey, I have containers running on ec2 instances, So If I register those instances in ECS...Will ECS be able to manage those containers running on those instances?
Hi Smaran,
Yes it will! If you set up your ECS configuration as a service, it will ensure that X number of containers are running at all times.
Daniel
Hi Daniel, i hv deployed my django app to ECR and then ecs Fargate.
I created a task n service too for d same.
Now if i made some changes in my django app. Then wt should be d approach to get these changes up n running on ecs.
I hv to create a new container n deploy it in new ECR repo n den do the earlier steps again or I cn use existing ECR repo?
How to go ahead with this.
Hi Gshan,
I would suggest using an approach that leverages CodePipeline to deploy your updates images to ECS. You can check out this tutorial link for more info: docs.aws.amazon.com/codepipeline/latest/userguide/tutorials-ecs-ecr-codedeploy.html
@@BeABetterDev i was going through awa reinvent and they hv released a new tool call copilot which eases d deployment to ecs n Fargate.
is there a really easy example? I tryed some from aws documentation but it didn't worked and so far I still don't get it how it works...
Is ECS more popular than putting Dockers on EC2?
Less management for tech manager
so "Service" is Container Orchestration
