Probably not. So, join me on this trip as I show you what their super cozy and retro-feeling trains are like on a journey from Stockholm to Linköping.

The orange cars have been recently purchased from germany and now have the same livery as the rest of the fleet. There are three variants: Bmz1 which was the one in your train, Bmz2 with a kiosk and a playground and Bmz3 with compartments only.
The interior will be modified, exactly how has not yet been announced.
Thanks! They must have done the paint fairly quickly after purchasing them then! Good to see demand is high
Modified for the good or the bad 🤔? They are so unique!!
From the beginning of December 2022, Snälltåget rented eight passenger cars (the orange ones) with the designations Bmz1 and Bmz3 from German Locomore as a reinforcement in the Christmas traffic between Stockholm and Malmö. The wagons worked well and they have many similarities with the wagons from Germany that they already use in several of their trains. Since Snälltåget needed more wagons, they decided to buy these wagons.
The other wagons were refurbished at Atelierele Griviţa in Romania in 2017. The interior was completely rebuilt and the wagons were also equipped with AC. 16 wagons were converted into seating wagons with littera Bmpz and 3 wagons into restaurant wagons with littera WRbmz.
Thanks for providing more insight on them!
'Sabotage'is probably something like the theft of signal cables or the like and it's a major problem these days.
It is a major problem. But if that was the case here, I doubt it would have been fixed in just ten minutes? Maybe it was something else?
Theft of signal cables was a thing 10-15 yrs ago. Today it’s most likely a one of the trains making the damage
It would only be speculation on my side, but its possible.
Maybe the actual issue happened earlier and it was just the knock-on effect that caused a minor delay for this train.
You really missed out by not eating in the dining car. I did the same journey on the same train and managed to squeeze in a dining car reservation and I can say their food is quite nice for train food, especially considering you get proper tableware. I recommend it for your next journey with them!
I will have to next time! It was my 3rd time with them and i still haven't got to!
You should do Tågab / Tågåkeriet i Bergslagen next😁
Ooh that’s an interesting one! 😀
8:00 Well, actually, there is one more city in Sweden that has a tram "network," and that is the city of Lund in Skåne County. Its opening was in December 2020 and consists of 9 stops on a 5,5 km long route.
He did say "retain" its tram network :)
@cityuser Ah, I didn't hear that...
Indeed as @cityuser pointed out, i used the word retain, but it would have been a good to mention Lund as well! Sould have continued all the way onboard to Malmö or Lund then :P
Reliable Train despite the delay. Looks smooth and comfy. 👍
Very interesting and informative , well done 😁👍
Glad you enjoyed it Thanks!
The "regular" cars look like 1990s DB cars. I remember these turning doors from my childhood...
Thats because some of them are!
Locomore - the only company were you can bring your unicorn free of charge. (just read all the legal stuff ;-) )
Nice video Simon :)
Mange tak!
Lovely to see areas of Sweden tourists don’t usually get to see
Glad you enjoyed watching
I need a lottery win and get some more travel under my belt.
Found if funny though seeing an Upper Crust baguette stall as quite a lot of these in UK. Great traditional station outside and the main hall, plus also very modern and airy inside.
I mostly find them at airports here in the nordics!
As much as i like train travel, airlines like Ryanair really allows you to go see a lot of Europe without winning the lottery :-)

I like how you said "coop"
I think thats the danish way of doing it. It sounds smiliar to the danish word "Kup" meaning something along the lines of "A good deal"
Yyyyeeeeeaaaaahhhhh ive been waiting for you to ride on it, did you do this cause i asked you to do a review on it?
I always lisen to requests, i've also wanted to give them a shot for a while!
Fun fact: Back in the day Malmö used to have a tram network but was removed in the 80s i think, Malmö now only has one line left but its a museum tram so it doesnt count
Well yeah most of Malmö's lines closed on H-day in 1967 except for a single line. Line 4. That line was spared, mainly because most of its route was already in dedicated lanes, effectively making it a light rail line. However it didn't last and the line shut down in 1973. One of the last trams used in the city and rebuilt to running on the right, ML 74, is preserved at the Danish tramway museum.
It’s very amusing hearing a Dane ranting about Swedish prices. 🤭
Norrkoping is a lot like Manchester. The trams are the same colour as our Metrolink system here. We don't have the factories any more, though. I think the trams need an overhaul judging by the look of them.
Nice video 😊Simon, is your profile picture a Finnish train?😊
Yes, it is! Its a Sr3 (Vectron) from VR a bit east of Piikkiö
Thank you. Because I saw a Vectron with VR I thought it was from 🇫🇮😊
4:57 i see a ship belonging to the Wagenborg company, wich is situated in my region! :D
Cool! Its quite a major port so i think they get a lot of ships loading up cars and trucks for the factories in Södertälje
Can you do SJ's Euronight train Stockholm - Berlin? :)
Probably not, last time I tried to take that train It didn't stop at the station I was waiting at xd
Every time I've taken Snälltåget (or Veolia as it used to be called) there's been some issue with the bathrooms. Wonder what's up with that.
Probably just the carriges showing their age.
Also took Snällåget in April 23.
Really wish I could have tried the dinning car but it was completely booked out.
Seats are comfy and tickets are cheap.
Minute 2:40 This es Ex-Locomore from Germany
i'm a simple euro truck sim enjoyer: i hear Sodertalje, i think Scania

Any idea Simon why UA-cam opens any channel including yours with 701 likes?
Not for me. This video had 47 LIKES when I got here and 48 after I added mine.
107 likes right now. Think you need to do a software check 😂
@@TheMaartian thanks. It must be a glitch on my machine
@@paulthiel5145 definitely. I will once I’ve googled how to do that 🤣
As the others have pointed out, no clue, not on my end here either :-)
kom tåget fram överhuvud taget ?
Ja, tror det ankom til Malmö C med 15 min forsinkelse hvis jeg husker rigtigt
What a shame, America gave up on its passenger trains thanks to Eisenhower's highway system project after the war
I very much like compartment trains and dislike airline seatings in long distance trains.
I'm the complete opposite, but we all have different preference 😊
