These two care that Jason has his own children who need him. I take that back those boys don't need him. Elizabeth and Sam have been good mothers to those boys. Jake and Danny have everything they need in them. So Jason can just stay protecting Carly and her children and if he will not be a constant presence in those boys lives he needs to leave them alone. Well Danny's romanticized him his whole life while Jake keeps his guard up.
