Very helpful! I find it harder to listen with the music playing as well, but I'm sure some people like it.
Thanks for letting me know! Sometimes it is distracting, I know. You can always mute the sound and that helps! :) Thank you for watching!

+daisy dog81 Thank you! :)
This is beautiful! I'm just beginning and I aspire to do paintings like this. I love taking pictures of clouds and sky and hope to be able to replicate them in pastel down the road. I will be watching this more than once I'm sure. Thank you!
You can do it!
I think my jealousy level just reached my peak, I can only strive to have cloud as brilliant as those. I am a beginner and I will continue to thrive to this quality.
Oh goodness, keep going! Thank you for the sweet words.
Beautiful job - you are so talented. It was also really great to hear the progression of the work to accompany the time lapse. That was really helpful!
+Jeff Boyce Thank you very much Jeff! I'm glad you enjoyed the time-lapse!
+Bethany Fields Welcome! Question - what brand of Artists Ink do you use? Thanks
+Jeff Boyce I use Daler-Rowney FW Artist's Acrylic Ink. :)
I think my favourite part of this painting is the sun rays :)
Thank you Mel! I love those too! ;)
Love your vids! I'd love to see you do a video on a basic still life. I'm a mixed media artist but would love to learn pastel painting and would love a still life video from you!

Thank you Dee!
Bethany, this one is great!! I really like the effect of the Terry Ludwig pastels, we don't see them in England but I will do some research on their availability. :)
Hi John! Thank you! I love my Terry Ludwigs....I hope you found a source! ??
Thank you so much!

Awesomeness
I've just started to follow you from Italy... you're bravissima!
Thank you!
LOVE you thanks immensely
Hi Bethany. Thank you for sharing your wonderful talent with us. I cannot get the link for the Terry Ludwig blues. What is the name if the set?
I was wondering the same .....loving those hues, and wondering where to get those. Did you find it?
Thank you so much to share it. Love your channel, I am recently starting with pastels, and I really really have a question on my mind: how could I represent the rain? like a raining landscape?
thank you so much from Spain!
What brand of workable fixative did you use? Thanks.....lovely work!
I like Lascaux or Grumbacher!
How do we view the specific set of Terry Ludwigs that you used? Thanks for your beautiful paintings and great instructions!
Thank You Bien, bien, bien, bien good, good, good.
gracias Pablo! :)
Awesome! I wonder what kind of paper you use
This painting was done on Pastel Premiere. You can find links to all the products I use here: www.bethanyfieldsblog.com/resources

Jeremy
Jeremy thank you!
why it's in stop motion? great painting.
Thank you! Because I didn't know how to do a video at the time! :) I just knew how to do time-lapse photos and string them together....
are you using dslr for that?
Yes I am. The video files are very, very large and difficult for my current computer to handle and process. The time-lapse (stop-motion) produces much smaller files but as you noticed, the quality of the video isn't nearly as professional. It's all a learning experience! :)
you work on Mac? if you have Premiere i can help with creating speed up videos :)
I meant ‘great’ not get!
:D
Hi Bethany, what a great painting! I have spent the last few days in a bit of a slump having tried to paint and got nowhere. I decided to watch a few of your tutorials to see if I could get my mojo back and wow, did I! Thank you so much for your clear instruction and easy to follow tutorials, I hope that you may do some real time stuff soon also - those would be priceless to beginners such as myself. If you wanted to have a look at how my version of this painting turned out, you can find it here: facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10156024493194973&set=a.61738049972.87984.625869972&type=3&theater
Keep it up, you truly are inspirational!
Talented, beautiful, congratulations! I hope to see even more of your videos may not speeded up if possible. I take this opportunity to request that a fixative me advice. Thank you very much.
Paolo Croce (Genua-Italy)
Thank you so much Paolo! I have more videos coming soon. I hope you enjoy! :)
No te. entendí nada, pero pintas muy bien, guapa!.jeje
Gracias!
Lovely work. Very helpful video. Subscribed. I don't want to waste expensive paper while I'm learning. Do you think it's possible to get many layers on Canson Me Teint, Strathmore 400, Cold-pressed water colour paper or other non-sanded papers like that? Am I making learning much harder for myself, using those papers? I think I need a lot of layers to fix my mistakes.
I'm not a fan of the jumping forward video. Can't learn technique from that. Not as useful as real time. Other painters do it in real time. Better.
