Crawler Canyon Quickview Redux Triple: Duratrax Approach 1.9"

- So we get to a triple by virtue of the Duratrax Approach, which is no longer a thing (technically a Rearview) but it's the (maybe) same as the Louise Ardent (so a Quickview) but then we have twins, so might as well side-by-side test the knockoff Amazon version (Junkview) making this a Triple Redux. Maybe a Quadux. Anyway.

An interesting comparison. Just when you think you might have something with one or the other, you don't. I like the side-by-side views. Agree with your conclusions.
The wet performance is why I stopped using my fake Approaches. It's so humid here in PA that the rocks sweat. If a tire doesn't like wet, it just doesn't work here.
I actually just finished a set of canyon trail 400 cuts. The Fossils went back in storage lol.
cut some lugs
I see what you did there.

mornigng gents, have a great day😊
The approach cr was my very first tire i bought for my Trx4 79 Bronco, didn't realize it had good tires with the canyon trails...........the approach tires still look new 6 years later, from sitting in the tire bin
Same as Andrew_Red, I watched the members one and podcasted this one. Anyway, I have to do what I have to do:
The performance of both Approaches is really bad, considering the Champs (Deepwoods) are 11th on the list, and the Approaches and the fake version are at 31st and 34th respectively
i suppose lanyard everything ? 2 controllers, whiteboard, and marker. :) yeah just not enough void for the compound, too low on the tire list to consider for crawling specifically. Maybe double up shock towers ? i know cheap easy but material not liking it.
Enjoy the video great comparison I like the difference between both and one has nothing on the other… I see it’ll depend on the driver ? What would be a good comparison is the fake tusks with really good inserts/ and tusks straight up with jconcept foams.
Great video Mr C, enjoyed watching you crawling the twins around on the rocks and and listening to your wisdom. Can't wait for the next one 👍
watched the members one, podcasted this one. Commented to trick the algorithm 😁
Is there a chance you can do a comparison of a vented tire vs unvented? Very curious of the difference .
Good shootout between the two tires. The twins are cool. But I have a question about Susan. How tall is she? I'm going to make one. And what size yoga block did you use.
I use the 9x6x4 yoga blocks.
What chassis are the twins? Are the twins a brand or a mix of parts?
They're on VS4-10 chassis, take-offs from doing Zoku Phoenix conversions. Beyond that, they are identical in build, but there's no "brand loyalty." MEUS nylon axles, Stealth X gearboxes, Amazon links and shocks.
You need a little red wagon with wooden side rails to carry two trucks and their controllers. You could even add a couple other things too.
What I gotta do is stop carrying everything by hand, because one day I'm inevitably gonna trip and drop something that is gonna be expensive to replace. Here we are, livin' on the edge!
@@CrawlerCanyon Haha, Evil Knievel in the making. On a serious note with all the tripods and cameras it could cost a few bucks real quick.
Need triplets
Don't threaten me with a good time.
