Yes you figured it out. To make the 8 at a time HSTs you sew 1/4” around the two large squares right sides together. Then make the cuts as indicated to get 8 HST units.

You should have sewn both sides corner to corner like an x and then make the cuts I think because I did the same for another bom

Hello Andrea I was just wondering about how long is it before you do your Irish chain quilt I'm thinking about doing one myself using kaffe material and in 5 and a 1/2 inch squares because I love the material and I want to show it all happy Mother's Day

Yeah but there were no dotted lines on the large illustration. Just regular lines
There was error in the instructions they had u cut 5 1/2 I asked and either works
I like the block with Lori fabric instead. Not a fan of batiks. See you next time.
