Fiy "mushroom picking" was kind of "invented" by the Czechs. It's been a national tradition ever since Great Moravia in the 11 hundreds! That's crazy to me
Not me watching this, yelling "that's a good one! You can eat it!!", seeing it getting verified as a poisonous one, then remembering that mushrooms change properties based on their geographical location.
@@drae It's a real thing! I'm originally from Eastern Europe and grew up gathering mushrooms and berries with my grandmother. It's actually a very common activity where I'm from. And I haven't done it since my family moved to California primarily because it's a lot more complicated here. Many of the exact same mushrooms that we would pick up and eat at home are poisonous or inedible here. There are places and groups for mushroom picking here, but they are done strictly with a guide who knows what you can take home.
If I remember correctly from childhood mushrooms can be considered either edible, unedible and/or poisonous. Level of poisonousness and edibility is also differentiated to several levels like mildly poisonous or deadly poisonous and just edible or (I don't remember the exact words) deliciously or greatly edible.
That post office scene was soo perfectly done...that is Eastern European customer care at it's peak :D :D

Check out this clip, only difference is that in real life, dude jumping his car got it stuck into second level of priests home
generally, this game looks like a one big meme. I personally hate mushrooms, they taste like crap and have consistency of jellyfish, but mushroom picking is a kind of a sacred hobby in Poland, like 40% of people do it, they pick them, dry, pickle, mix with eggs, put inside of meat and finally consume and/or fight with others what is the best mushroom, reserve mushroom spots, fight over them and there even was a mushroom mafia in south east, attacking people and robbing them from their pickings, they killed one man for a basket of this shit. basket is another important thing - it has to be weaved basket, so mushrooms can breathe, you can't put them in a plastic bag because they will go bad fast
from the first haul - brown mushroom probably was good, I think you took it from under pine trees? it's called Maślak (buttery-one) it's a filthy feeling mushroom, covered in oil or sth like this, but people like it. White ones were probably champignons, the most shitty mushrooms, because literally they grow on shit, it's a processed shit pillow. in the wild they grow were animals or people take a dump
there is a few rules which go for mushroom picking in Poland which are key you can use for your future gameplay, I think Dev followed them:
1) when you turn over the mushroom and under the hat it has blades - it is probably harmfull, if it has idk, pipes? it's probably edible
2) if the hat is turned down, it means it is more safe to eat, that if the end of the hat turn back up
3) if it is colored brightly, like red, extreme yellow, has some white dots on it - it's extremely poisonous or might have some hallucinogetic properties, it's mushrooms way of deffence against predators. but, if you prepare some of the most toxic mushrooms we have here, red Amanita Muscaria the right way you could have a very nice psychedelic trip. Or you could go berserkergang, bite ends of your shield and fight enemies with bare hands. Or die from deadly diarrhea
amanita is toadstool
white mushrooms is fucked up and generally are an oddity to the norm which I wrote up, a lot of them are edible if you cook them in a special way, but if you do something wrong they will mess you up. don't pick them up. the more ghillied up the mushroom is, the better it is supposed to taste and be more worthy when selling
50 PLN to deliver a letter is a great prica Drae, you shouldn't brag, it costs 5 PLN to send a domestic letter in here
Tree growing mushrooms are not edible I think, but a great firestarter. they drain a lot of sap and tar from trees, when they are dry they catch a spark very easily. Priest wanting to get money for renovation of church's roof is classic, they do it every sunday
bike you ride when performing post duty I guess is Ogar (hellhound) 150
I could have played stalker 2 for like 1.5 hours i stead of writting what i wrote
Please please more of this if possible
That was a wild ride.
Game must be set in Poland. The Zloty is a polish currency. I remember that from reading the graphic novel Maus.
14:40 believe it or not it has been done in Poland, there should be a video of that on yt 😁
Drae, morels look like theyre a sponge on a stick, or like a brain. Definitely looks different from most shrooms
Imagine being the first people to try out mushrooms
Just watched this game. Not even into the game and i already wishlisted it
If they grow on dead wood, check your nether region, Drae, i heard its dead.
Mushrooms that are inedible typically add very unpleasant flavors textures smells or maybe mildly toxic and can cause digestive issues.
Wait I love this simulator
Who remembers kingdom and castle
Love how all these look solid graphically until a character comes on screen lol
Fiy "mushroom picking" was kind of "invented" by the Czechs. It's been a national tradition ever since Great Moravia in the 11 hundreds! That's crazy to me
inedible mushrooms are usually very bitter so you would rather toss them than eat, if you mix them with edible ones it ruins the dish
26:09 the letter glitched behind the desk lol
Not me watching this, yelling "that's a good one! You can eat it!!", seeing it getting verified as a poisonous one, then remembering that mushrooms change properties based on their geographical location.
I didn't know that haha
"Can anyone actually help you?" lol Oh man, I miss Postal 2 so much... roflmao
Men see perfect stick. Men want perfect stick, Men take perfect stick, Men happy with perfect stick.
