Oh, right. The documentary. The documentary about the Emperor's New Groove, the documentary made especially to cover the Emperor's New Groove and its ancillary material, Emperor's New Groove's documentary. That documentary?
_Emperor's New Groove_ is an underrated gem of an animated film that shows more personality and a sense of humor than other Disney films. To this day, Kuzco will always be the best Disney princess.
I saw The Emperor's New Groove in theatres with my parents and brother, and it left a permanent impression on me. Whenever it was on cable, I would watch it and laugh at Kuzco's shenanigans.
I enjoyed this. It makes a good companion piece to The Sweatbox. The amount of crew interviews you got is impressive and I loved those animated bits you made for the anecdotes. Your timing could be improved a lot though. Some clips feel like they go on too long to make the joke as funny as it could be and other feel like they could be cut down a bit for time so the mood wouldn't deflate. Still this is overall a nice documentary. I hope you intend on doing more because the passion came through
Fact: Mark Dindal also directed the 2005 animated movie Chicken Little Disney’s first entirely CGI animated movie. And Randy Fullmer left the studio a year after Chicken Little and found a business making guitars.
The Emperor’s New Groove initially started as an epic and dramatic music envisioned by Roger Allers of The Lion King with songs written by Sting but after a few test screenings and executive turmoils, Mark Dindal changed it up becoming a more light hearted comedy with a Chuck Jones feel.
This is the msot oddly specific thing I've had recommended to me and I love it. Narration audio should be 10x higher quality though. Other than that pretty awesome work you've done. Great interviews too!
This was very interesting to watch. I really enjoyed it. I would love to have seen what the Empire of the Sun would have been like one day, who knows maybe in the future some animation student will get bored, grab a few talented people and make it available to watch. OR Disney gets bought out by Time Warner, and they do it. Weird concept, right? Who knows what the future may bring. ;3
@@theemperorsnewpodcast2 songs from Kingdom of the Sun are still missing, Snuff out the light reprise and Walk the llama llama reprise (and of course the version of Walk the llama llama used at the beginning of the film)
I will give them this, the title is terrible. I never saw it in theaters cause I thought it was gonna be terrible just by the title. Honestly this movie should’ve been so bad but they had so much talent that they made gold out of a pile of garbage which is executives being douches. I absolutely love this movie and want all the people who worked hard on the movie to know it was worth it! By far My favorite Disney movie!

Yes, that documentary
and… AND… accompanying podcast. So, yeah. There.

It’s one of the most culturally significant films of 2000 alongside the Grinch, Unbreakable, Gladiator and Scary Movie.
*EMPEROR!
Had fun narrating this, it turned out great!

Pretty solid documentary, some audio issues but it was nice to revisit one of Disney’s most unique features and learn a few new things.
The Emperor’s New Groove is one of the biggest animated movies to have an extensive overhaul

some of the stock footage for some reason became ridiculously slow once it was in the editing program.
that's exactly what I said, the companion piece to "the sweatbox" part, specifically.

Hey, I’m gonna listen to this while I weld! Congrats, Micah!
This is a documentary I wish was official, but isn't. You're doing great work, here!

Yes. Thanks for reiterating the entire first act of the documentary.
I love this channel alreadyyy

The squirrel story is perfect.
It’s a really hilarious animated movie!

well, hello there lol ;'}
This is a great documentary, but the sound of your narration is so cloudy that it's a little distracting. Sorry. 🫥
