The ‘butterfly’ logo was designed in 1978 by a CCTV employee, and used until late 1990s. It was unofficially decommissioned because of a copyright dispute. Such a shame really as it’s very classic and memorable.
It was such a fancy logo really, perhaps not too descriptive as the current "CCTV" call letters they use today, though I enjoy the electron bands with "TV" in the middle.
Christopher Sobieniak Would have looked better if its length was 1:1 to its width though, and that it would have looked much better if it wasn't for the perspective view of the camera, I think.
