I rode this yesterday. It was a hoot. So... when they make two cuts in a downed tree to make 'clear' the path why do they space the cuts just wide enough to clear a bike? Why not space the cuts wider (like 30") so you could just continue to blaze on through??? Don't get me wrong... I totally appreciate whomever is doing the trail clearing, it just seems odd to make the passage so narrow. On the trees fallen at a big angle to the trail you just about have to stop to get through. RIDE ON!!!
I was just there. I remember seeing a few big fallen trees, but we were able to ride around them. Maybe the locals have done some trail work since.
Thanks for posting, Clayton! I'm going to be riding this trail this Saturday and I just happened upon your video :).
Have fun! Keep an eye out for all the downed tree's!
Clayton Hertz Unfortunately ElDo NF just issued an emergency closure until 5/15 (probably to clear all the trees). Hmph!

Yea I agree with what you're saying about the tree's. Maybe they do that on purpose so no quads or vehicles can get through.
