This channel is wildly underrated, you deserve millions of subs. Driven and boated by this so many times never to truly appreciate it's history. Great story telling and filming. Thank you!
in bellingham mass, off 126 going to mendon there is a factory deep in the woods hidden on box pond...please do a piece on that place, entrance is on same side as a old bar called petes blue bird...right after bar you see hidden road.
Nice, been waiting for another video, so happy to see this one!! I have always wondered what those old structures were. I had always assumed that they were docks, but wondered why some were in the middle of the water and not attached to anything. I had no idea that they were mainly shipwrecks! I can't wait to see what you do next!!
I just dont understand how your channel only has 29k subs. i live in mass and love your channel man. trust me when i say you will blow up soon enough. i can see the amount of work and time you put into these videos. thank you for sharing them with us.
Having grown up in Fall River, MA, I have been very interested in the local history here. I just learned from this video about the remains of the steamer Mount Hope still in existence. Almost every book written about the Fall River Line mentions the Mount Hope, and how much it was loved by the locals. Thank you for teaching me something new. 😊
I remember year ago, listening to BZ as they gave there traffic reports of the Mount Hope Bridge, one time on my way back from the casino, I got to a detour, ended up going over that bridge, well there was an accident in front of us, I sat on its peak for some time. Two narrow lanes , very high and steep, so the ships could past under. Freaky!
The same thing for me had no idea those were shipwrecks. been by that area a zillion times I thought it was old rotting piers and never knew RI had a ship graveyard
OMG Mr Jason i had no idea that area was a graveyard for shipwrecks I've been by that area a zillion times never knew there was sunken ships there i thought they were old rotten piers WOW that is mind blowing .. Do a part 2 when there is a Moon low Tide .. Again Mr Jason you are a national Treasure of Good Old Rhode Island you are a breath of fresh air for this State .. If you are looking for fresh ideas do a video of the Nike Missiles that were in Bristol RI .. I am giving you a Hundred Trillion Thumbs up from Tiverton Take care Mr Jason you are the best of the best
Great video! Loved it and subbed! One small insignificant point: these aren’t shipwrecks. They didn’t run aground and wreck themselves on a foggy night when the captain & mate were both drunk. In maritime parlance they’re called derelicts because they were abandoned to rot.
Wow Jason, you never disappoint…..this video is fantastic! The extensive research and presentation preparation makes this one real special. It has been a bit, but the wait was well worth it. Big time thanks Jason!
Fascinating history! I’ve actually come across those ruins while walking in that park before, but I always assumed they were just old docks or piers… crazy to think that they were shipwrecks, and one of many! Dope video!
This channel is awesome man! This could be on Discovery channel or National Geographic or something. Top notch I appreciate you and all your hard work man Truely amazing You deserve a slot on network television.
I covered that wreck in one of the videos on my channel - it was sunk during the last naval battle of WWII, The Battle of Point Judith. Incredible how much history is around here.
I live near the big gas tank by the freeway in Dorchester. All through the harbor and into the Neponset river is full of rotting piles sticking up through the water. I don't think anybody around here now remembers what it used to be. Not too far from Providence. Probably no shipwrecks though.
I walk this path on India Point Park every day with my dog. Born and raised on Jamestown. Thanks for this piece of Info that I should have already known!
Great video Jason. Have you ever heard of a steamship named The Larchmont that sank off the coast of Block Island in February of 1907? Dan Harrington a Providence Journal staff writer gives talks on it. Saw his presentation this past Tuesday at the Johnston library. Fascinating story!
I’m glad I came across your channel; this was a really cool video! If you’re okay with feedback, I did wanna mention - the additional audio in the background with bird sounds(?) was really distracting for me & I had to turn on subs to follow along with the story… I’m AuDHD tho, so this might be another ~me~ thing. Either way, new subscriber earned!
if anyone is interested the 2/2018 photo of the area on google earth shows the ships well. should have made your personal ship wreck the ss195 westbound LMFAO
Enjoyed this video very much Jason...I've driven by there many times with no clue that these wrecks were there. Not being a native to the area, there would be no way to know without being told...thanks for telling me! 🙂
Great job, I run the marina there in Providence. We have a tour boat company or 2 there that bring tours by there. Nice dig at the 195 debacle too haha. Theirs a couple sunk boats near there too.
As a life long Rhode Islander I always look forward to your videos.Love your blend of history mixed with a bit of humor. Keep up the great work Jason 👍
During WWll my grandfather was the vessels navigator, steaming some 18 time circumnavigation around the world. The Atlantic by summer and Pacific by winter.
I have lived in rhode island for 57 years Jason and his teams vids are absolutely amazing they are beyond thorough his research is the best I have ever seen Jason if you read this message me i have some interesting places I think you might enjoy exploring
anybody scratching their head at just how many things can be abandoned in total crap hole 40 miles wide because it’s a portal to hell . i mean even the tallest building was abandoned long ago
You left out the Russian submarine K-77. Not in Green Jacket Shoal. K-77 was used as the set for the motion picture K-19: The Widowmaker, starring Harrison Ford and Liam Neeson. It was scrapped and what’s left is sunk at Sims Metal in Providence. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Soviet_submarine_K-77
As a Rhode Islander, I really like your videos. The content explains a lot of things that I have been wondering living here . Do you have any content about the building of the statehouse? I’ve always been interested and intrigued by that structure. Thanks
Hey Jason, I'm not sure if it's still there but a scou barge sank in 2017 in the bay a stones throw away where Sims Metal Management is now in Providence. I know it had been there for years
That’s so cool, my grandparents used to tell me stories of how it used to be in Providence just how important the port city was! We are from Riverside RI.
There is, indeed, something extra creepy about shipwrecks. You should document the barge on Green island next. ( before it - and the island disappear).
Good video but these aren't "ship wrecks". They are abandoned hulls that were stripped. This was done all over. The Further kill had a huge area of them.
Great channel I hate to sound negative but the whole channel is an introspection of Rhode Island as a portal to HELL , which which is exactly what it is
Eeeeee... The map of the ship 🚢 under the water next to the pier was unexpected but exciting to see. Had to rewind this video 15 times just to get a better look at it. 😅
I love how they lit up your favorite ship one last time before it laid to rest. Also loving that map layout of where each vessel is located under the water.

@debralambert2290, I can't imagine how hard life has been on you if you get your feelings hurt that easily.
As a Rhode Islander you page is top tier content.
Same!
Nice job Jason, love the work you do here in New England!
Have you ever visited prudence Island? That place has some very interesting history and some cool abandoned sites from above!
Come on UA-cam algorithm… This channel deserves a lot more respect then you’re giving it!
"Thank you very much" for creating this informative piece of R.I. Maritime History. Great job as always !
Wicked awesome!

I never knew about this, My girlfriend and I went to a Primus concert next to those shipwrecks in 2018 😎

Another great short documentary Jason! Keep them coming. I love learning about this stuff!
Amazing! I plan on exploring that area in my little boat this summer. I’ll look out so I don’t become another shipwreck.
Honey, wake up the kids! Jason Allard has posted a video!
Recently there was almost a bridge down there with those ships too.
This channel is awesome man!
This could be on Discovery channel or National Geographic or something.
Top notch
I appreciate you and all your hard work man
Truely amazing
You deserve a slot on network television.
As always Jason, great, informative work. Keep up the awesome work.
Watching from west Warwick..
Me too!
German UBoat 853 is a good shipwreck in RI as well. It still has the remains of some Nazi soldiers in it. It's deep but diveable.
I covered that wreck in one of the videos on my channel - it was sunk during the last naval battle of WWII, The Battle of Point Judith. Incredible how much history is around here.

If someone who lives in that area I often wondered if fishing is good along the shore in that region? Do you know of any hot spots?
I walk this path on India Point Park every day with my dog. Born and raised on Jamestown. Thanks for this piece of Info that I should have already known!

Out of curiosity, can I just put my kayak in the water and explore these wrecks from above?
Yes!

Your videos always make me miss Rhode Island
Driving on 195 everyday to go to Fall River to work I always wondered what that wood stuff was sticking out
Now because of you I know
I have a pretty interesting abandoned mall in Massachusetts that you might be interested in! There's really no information on it.
Great job, I run the marina there in Providence. We have a tour boat company or 2 there that bring tours by there. Nice dig at the 195 debacle too haha. Theirs a couple sunk boats near there too.
Well done, totally enjoyed this!
Love your content, such great insight into Rhode Island's rich history. ⚓
Every time driving by I always thought that was wood that has been dumped into the bay!
The video displays some great editing but has limited information. This could have been a 5 minute video.
You should make a video on whale Rock used to be an Old Lighthouse that got destroyed in a hurricane you can see it from beavertail
WOW! used to work at bootleggers and always assumed they were just old docks🚢
I just learned something new! Great job, as always!
love your stuff! i miss rhode island. i'd love to move back there someday.
Great and informative video, thanks! New England is such an interesting area.
Thank you
I’m from Providence and never knew this.

Can you please do one with Rhode island Lost Lighthouses.
During WWll my grandfather was the vessels navigator, steaming some 18 time circumnavigation around the world. The Atlantic by summer and Pacific by winter.

This is incredible.
THANK YOU..
Can you do a video about the bridge that’s stuck up and caught fire a year or two ago? That’d be cool
I created a video all about it a couple years ago - it’s on my channel 👍🏼
@@JasonAllard awesome I’ll check it out!!

Great video!
Always wondered what all the cr* was there. Fish in that area most springs. RI native. Thanks for this channel!!

You know this is an old video because, the Washington Street bridge is running smoothly 😅
Well done!
My fav shipwreck is the Edmund Fitzgerald…
Drive by it all the time on my way to fish.
Thanks for the history lesson. VERY cool !
I love your videos so much man. Keep it up!!
I still drink Narragansett beer, but some how I don't feel offended 💪
Interesting! I would like to watch more of your videos seeing someone who lives near RI
Imagine if they could dry up the area. RI would tie them into section 8 housing
Keep em coming.
Some developer will come along and build houses on the grave yard.
New subscriber your videos are great and very much underrated.
How about Crescent Park and Rocky Point,
wow that was great! I drive by that everyday! I had no idea.
Sunken vessels and abandoned places is too intriguing! Anything lost to our waters is frozen in time. I love this video topic. 🥂🌹
I love how they lit up your favorite ship one last time before it laid to rest.
Also loving that map layout of where each vessel is located under the water.
