Fulton was just previously an undefeated fighter beating many “undefeated” fighters and now all the sudden he has lots of holes in his game. Fulton still beats everyone else at 122. To say Inoue is better than Fulton is a vast understatement. Inoue is just different, a true generational talent.
Congrats to Naoya Inoue for a dominating performance and proving to the world that it's not the gloves or the wraps or tape and gauze or illegal drugs or whatever racist fans want to smear this man with. P4P 💯
Racist?? It's public knowledge.......you 💩licker yall fans are turn coats.....how can one fight with a powerless champion make this dude pound for pound.......its idiotic

What I can't understand is that all these pundits that give the impression they know it all , completely backed Fulton and made Inoue out as fake. Fulton is slick yes, but he simply doesn't carry enough power to keep a powerhouse like Inoue at bay. Inoue will force all bias fans to recognize and respect him, by destroying their favourites
Too many so-called pundits that don't understand the sport. Even after the fight, they are still speaking like they experts.
Exactly my thoughts. I watched their last prediction and I was like what the heck are they talking about? The only one i thought that sounded like he gets it and can understand this fight was Professor Nims. It sounded like they didnt do enough research of Inoue.
They all swept everything under the rug and stopped claiming Fulton saying "It's a Wrap".
they should google pundit before using the word..they are idiots
Destroying our favorites?…we have dogs all over the classes…Japan has one big(not really), fighter and all of a sudden he’s the greatest fighter in the world?…lol
Folks need to stop accusing small Asian fighters of juicing lol. Some folks won't say who but they just don't think small Asian fighters have power lol. That's the most ridiculous narrative being thrown around leading up to the fight along with the handwraps. Power is from the calves. Asians actually have short legs but big calves for balance. Hence we dominate gymnastics and anything with flexibility. Manny and now Inuoe have been accused and both dudes never failed a test. Stop the cap. That's God gifted power. Inuoe had 48 KOs in his 75 wins in the amateurs. That's with headgear and unheard of. The power is real.

100% 👌 Inoue is So Skilful and thinks so fast , Fulton actually could not handle his skill , hardly touched Naoya , and this was someone coming up to 122 for the first time and taking on an undefeated champion, Naoya is The most exciting Boxer in World 💯🔥🥊

Really good honest assessment, but how was that not predicted? Inoue isn’t just strong (89% finish rate) but he’s very accurate. He’s like a surgeon with his punches. More technical than Pacquiao.
Manny was just pure ferociousness like a wild beast, Inoue have that but disciplined, methodical, tamed.
@RedHairML 100%, best all-around boxer on earth imo.
How could you have predicted for sure though? This somehow reminds me of Canelo Bivol. Inoue’s power made Fulton cautious, but Inoue’s speed added with that power made Fulton not want to be there anymore. Confidence was shot . After one round. And Inoue was the smaller guy taking Fulton’s best clean shots with no damage. Fulton packed it in.

That first jab and first punch Fulton felt made him shy for the first five rounds. He didn’t have any head movement and was pretty flat footed. He was also stunned by Inoue’s speed, he was like a deer in headlights.
Inoue was going with broken rhytim, and at that speed, carrying that much power. First time Fulton faced a style like that.
In regards to Nims,
Inoue stated that he wanted to outbox Fulton for 4 rounds first to take the lead and then suck Fulton into more of a fight in the rounds after. His goal was to get Fulton to open up. You're not wrong, you have the correct assessment.
Thank you for that cogent analysis. We'll address it in our next episode.

Post fight presser Inoue said the game plan was to win the first 4R, then slow down to allow Fulton to open up. It all worked out as planned for team Inoue
Bro the way him and his father talk about them patterns that they was implementing during the fight in that post interview was crazy. Thats let you kno the IQ they are on
My thoughts going into this fight were simple: Inoues never boxed a slick black fighter before... But Fultons never eaten a Goku Kamehameha to the face.

Inoue intentional opened himself up in 7th so that he can lure Fulton, thus Inoue got hit a few times. This led to the knockout in 8th. He mentioned this post fight.
I think Ricardo Martinez used to do the same. Allowing and even taking hits as long it allowed him to get the opponent where he wanted in order to land the shot he wanted.
@@MrTigracho I believe you meant Ricardo Lopez
Name one thing that was a glaring flaw in Inoue's game. There wasn't one! Fulton was clearly outclassed in every possible way. And yes, Fulton's legs are skinny AF. Inoue punches with his whole body, beginning with his superior leg development and surprisingly compact footwork. Love your thoughts on the breakdown guys.
Inoue is not perfect, his head movement needs to improve, he leaves his head in the punching line too often and gets caught. Fortunately, his other attributes are more than enough. He needs to get his head out of the firing line!
My calves are probably bigger than Fulton
Asking Inoue to skip two weightclasses to fight tank, is like asking tank to move up to 154 and fight jermell charlo
A lot of ppl are saying Fulton was tentative and not using his jab, the truth is Philly homeboy can't process or figure out Monster slick effortless style and body movements..!
That first hard right from Inoue, even though it hit Fulton in the shoulder, scared the heck out of Fulton. The power shocked him then the speed mesmerized him and he was done at that point.
And for inoue it was the opposite. He didn’t care about whatever Fulton was throwing and was happy to throw at any range.
Even the power shots thrown by Inoue that got blocked still shook and moved Fulton.
Inoue crushed the slick black fighter lol

If u look at Fulton and inoue’s fights and highlights alongside each other, it isn’t hard to predict that inoue was gonna be on his ass and press him with insane speed and power. Like with all the others, inoue strikes so hard even when it’s blocked people get knocked off balance and have to restabilize and reset. Unless u punch hard like donaire to have inoue respect u it just ain’t gonna happen
There was no change in Fulton because his jab wasn’t working due to the speed and distance of Inoue. This shocked Fulton imo. He didn’t have a plan B which could’ve been due to underestimating the monster. If you take away Fulton’s jab, he is an ineffective fighter since he has no power.
After the fight interview Inoue said he wanted to out box Fulton with speed, power, etc.. the first 4 rounds than slows down a little to lure Fulton out to fight to get him to open up. Inoue's plan worked to the tee.

Inoue's power is real, and his speed was shocking. Both of these qualities were greater than Fulton anticipated. Inoue has in fact fought name opponents, including champions in 3 previous divisions. It's just that Americans don't seem to care about those names because there aren't that many smaller Americans in boxing. That doesn't mean that Inoue has not had as high a quality of opposition if not higher than many Americans in the higher divisions. Yes, I agree that Inoue is more disciplined than Pacquiao in some areas. However, Pacquiao could get away with what he did because he was even faster and more powerful. There's a reason why he was a 9-division world champion.
"A late round Fulton stoppage" whoever picked that outcome really does not know anything about boxing. You boys couldnt see the obvious generational talent right in front of your eyes! Props to the guy with the cap.
I was thinking the exact same thing…
@floyd9727 so blessed to have seen Inoue vs Rodriguez live in Glasgow in 2019. Was 100% sold on his extraordinary talent that night!!!
We had him ranked as the number 3 lb 4 lb fighter in the sport going into the fight....We knew he was good, champ
@BosstonJarod A four division champion with TWENTY World title fights over nearly 10 years, winning his first after 6 fights is P4P No.1. Which other fighter has done that or is doing that? Yesterday, he became the first fighter to win titles from 108lbs - 122lbs (I'm not including Jorge Arce, he won interim titles) That's how you know he's special, accomplishing special achievements that don't ordinarily happen with relative ease.
Inoue' s only mistake was staying at Flyweight too long. He is too old to grow into Lightweight now, imagine the fights we could have seen. I believe he can reach 130 though and beat most of the guys.
Inoue made Fulton look like an amateur.
Inoue is changing the difenitionof the jab. No more just the throw away punch or the decoy.
Inoue clearly punch thru fulton high guard most of the time and Inoue wasn't gonna play that hugging game 😂
Inoue was dominant in the clinch and even scored during.
Didn't people and fans do their homework and look at how supreme Naoya is with quick in and out attacks and so evasive,, , he totally outclassed fulton in every round , too quick thinking and fulton could not touch him, The Most Exciting Boxer in the world right now 🥊
whatever plan Fulton had went out the window as soon as he felt Inoue's power. This fight wasn't gonna end any other way.
💯💯 From the 1st rd til the rd Inoue bloodied Fulton's nose, the game plan was non-existent. Cool Boy's best bet from then on should have been go for broke. He MIGHT'VE had a small chance.
you got a plan until you get hit in the face hahaha
its was a beat down.. fulton can fight inoue 10 times, he will loose all 10..
Fr all the blocking he did just delayed the inevitable.
Fulton's high boxing IQ KNEW it was over in the middle of round 1. Bet his whole game plan was psychological and the hand wrap.
Fulton made a weak ass career off of decision wins. Those around him spoiled him into thinking that he was wayy better then what he actually was. Everything they said fulton had inoue had it lol. The reason fulton was basic was cuz he has no legs, his legs are almost non existent. He needs to work out his legs and do repetitious foot work and drills and he"ll improve his agility and power. Also What they did by dragging inoues name thru the mud was sad asf, they disrespected inoue while the Japanese respected fulton n treated him nicely shows us how bad we are as a society. We need to do better here in the US
Agree, we need to mature a bit as Americans and not act like annoying brats...
The hell does a leg have to do with boxing lol ur ridiculous! It's not kick boxing!! If it was kick boxing Than I would totally agree! The thinner they faster fulton can move and that's his plan. Much of Inoue's success is from his legs - you ID'd his size of legs and the power source starts there. Along with strong legs - spend some time focusing on Inoue's leg movement! He's almost always moving so that he is ALWAYS in stance to hit or react. His method of movement and use of his legs is remarkable. Nice discussion gents. Before the fight all you said Fulton's footwork was superior and gave him an advantage. So I watched all of Fulton's fight highlights. His footwork was below average in every fight. Respectfully gentlemen - Where did y'all get the idea that Fulton had a footwork advantage? I really do wonder how anyone could come to that conclusion.
Walked into the land of the rising sun and met Godzilla. Never underestimate your opponent. Much respect to both great fighters.
Inoue mentioned that he had to win til the 4th round but he had to have Fulton come forward to fight him later on so he can find openings to counter to beat him hard
Anyone who ever thought that Fulton had even just a little bit of chance to win doesn’t really know anything about boxing. This is a massacre waiting to happen the moment this fight was talked about months ago.
Inoue has power and speed but his balance is next level. Inoue always in position to punch and he throws his punches perfectly. He is a dog on top of all that. Inoue team had a perfect gameplan and Cool Boy team didn't game plan it didn't look like.
When you measure torso size, Fulton was smaller too. Shoulder width and shoulder bulk went to Inoue.
Inoue spoke to Japanese media that he intentionally slowed down and opened door for Fulton to come over as decoy.
Once you get hit with a powerful punch by Inoue your plan A, B or C will be nothing… See what happen they let him open up, throw more jab and get hit!!! Boom!!!
I think Fulton's camp kept telling Fulton that he had a 3 inch reach... but what they didn't tell him is that Inoue has a 10 inch reach! Also, Vegas sports book odds had Inoue as a favorite by a lot! The way Inoue demolished PR boxing champion Emmanuel Rodriguez in two rounds was a warning to the boxing world. He made Rodriguez look like a training sparring partner!
Ion ain’t even gone lie, I underestimated the Asian dude. He’s nice with it. I can’t even hate…he’s highly skilled.

It’s just this simple Fulton and his trainer’s were just overwhelmed by Inoue’s power, speed and all round skills … simply afraid of getting put sleep by Inoue’s power … it was clearly evident the first time he really felt his real power … petrified of Inoue’s skill set … made simply to look second rate it was a sparring session for Inoue …
This is the best reaction to the fight on UA-cam. Really appreciate the perspective from the 4 of you. Lot of commenters out there are saying “Fulton wasn’t himself” or “something must of been off with him”. I love the straight up responses and analysis of the game. Y’all say you know boxing but anyone who really knows boxing knew that inoue was gonna destroy Fulton when the fight was made
I really think Inoue moving up in weight class might serve him well despite people saying he will lose power even if he goes to 135. Inoue can outbox fighters, so he can do this all the way to 135. He doesn’t need to KO every fighter. Inoue is a slick fighter. Think of him as Mayweather 2.0
inoue outboxes his opponents with accurate and precise power shots, but thats what makes the crowd love watching him, hes always going for the KO even if he gets tagged he doesnt mind getting hit to give a stronger hit
Legit and unbiased. The 4 of u cud see the match for what it was without no excuses. Props for keeping it 100%
It's as if some of these guys never saw Fulton fight. Most of these guys sound as if they'd never seen Inoue fight either. Scoot's wide stance is apparent in every one of his fights. A wide stance limits your footwork, limits your power, makes it easy for you to be knocked down, and takes away any size advantage. Someone finally showed Scoot's weaknesses and took advantage of them. This was a very typical Inoue fight. Everything Inoue showed in this fight he's done in every fight I've seen him in. The footwork, the speed, the educated jab, the variety of punches, the ability to show power off of his back foot, his adaptability, his ability to read opponents weaknesses on the fly, his surprising strength, and more.
Outclassed, outpowered, outboxed, outpunched, total domination, fulton was scared and cautious all fight long
This shouldn’t be a surprise! The first time I saw this man fight in US (Antonio Nieves) walked him down and punish him every round, I knew he was special. He hunted every boxer after in same manner. Every opponent said same thing, how they were bigger and stronger and ended up looking like little bitches against him. Other than Donaire 1, he destroyed everyone else.
I personally think that Inoue was just so used to throwing his power around that he could just do whatever but after donaire 1 he started using that ring IQ a lot more and now weve gone from savage hulk to worldbreaker (if you dont know comics worldbreaker hulk is when both hulk and bruce were on the same page and working together...worldbreaker was also the strongest hulk before titan hulk)
i dont understand how home court advantage is a thing. Some people are actually arguing that had the fight been in Philly it wouldve been different and that would be a valid argument had the fight been remotely close but it was a completely domination by innoue.
I didn’t, I had Inoue winning all along!
I won me a few 💰 on Inoue!!!
Maloney predicted a KO in the 8th
You said it man. Arrogance is what all these guys that lost has. Inoue is a class act. He is a samurai who follows the Bushido code. Watch the stare down at the weigh ins and just before the fight. Inoues' eyes is full of confidence and has no fear regardless of how big his opponent is.
Lots of people believe Fulton did what he could do. He had wide stance to keep himself with his leg placing forward, thus Inoue had difficulty to step in to punch Fulton. Inoue said Fulton intentionally stepped on Inoue's foot time to time. Inoue's defensive skills should surprise Fulton when Fulton missed uppercut in the 1st round. (because it should be one of Fulton's game plan) Fulton's biggest miscalculation was Inoue's jab was much better than Fulton's I do not think Fulton underestimated Inoue's skills. Fulton showed his skills. Size difference showed in the fight. Inoue was just in different class as Tim Bradley said.
It looked like Fulton with that wide stance was looking to get the feel of the timing for Inoue’s jab. Thought at times he had his weight on front foot looking to pull counter, fulton was feinting early doing this with the lead hand and Inoue didn’t fall for any of the traps. Looked like a round later fulton shortened the stance too and whatever he tried didn’t work. I think fulton is elite. Great feet and a really versatile lead hand with jab, up jab turns it into a long hook at times. Inoue’s jab is (so I thought) a one dimensional power jab. But if that’s a 1d jab, that’s all he needs. He steps in with it beautifully. This was an amazing performance from a special boxer v an elite boxer.
Inoue's legs and especially calves are the size of a middle or light heavy weight!
dem Asian Boxers aint no joke in the lower weights man... thats for damn sure...they got it on lock
Respect to both fighter they don’t duck no smoke give the fan what they want
Inoue won every single round, knocked him out and didn't stack his wraps
flawless victory
These guys picking Fulton ( 8 kos) in the first place is crazy, Inoue was already in the discussion for best pound for pound. A total mismatch lol.
Really nice thoughtful take on the fight, thank you gentlemen.
Just say it. Inoue is just BETTER! Simple as that. He's just on another level. Philly shell is overrated hahaha
I think Fulton is a great fighter, but as people thought he was going to do to Inoue, he got exposed. Therefore, although difficult as it may be now people know how to beat him. I also think Inoue showed much better head movement than in the past, which might have surprised Fulton.
Monster made Fulton look amateur. But here's the sad part - Fulton will never be a champion again because he'll be moving up in weight now... and after the monster cleans up this division to become undisputed "again", then he'll be moving up "again" which means he'll be taking all the belts "again" .
These guys didn't think Inoue was a smart boxer? Do American boxers and trainers not do their homework of watching fight films of their fighter's possible opponents? Not only does Inoue have the power, he uses it intelligently. Wears down the body before landing a hard right hand to the face or just plain bodyshot KOs opponents with his left.
Didn't think he'd be that tough? He fought 4 weight division champ Donaire who broke his right orbital bone in the first couple rounds and the monster still won with 1 good eye with UD. Donaire was the first person to go the distance with Inoue and the experience made him a better fighter. He learned to be more defensive and less reckless after first win against Donaire. In their rematch Inoue TKO'd Donaire in the 2nd round using everything he learned up to that point.
American boxing fans need to stop thinking only US boxers are top dog. They need to research foreign boxers more.
Think Fulton felt something on 2nd round that made him cautious. Everyone saying Inoue hasn't ever fought a fighter like Fulton.....But, looking back on Coolboys previous fights. He only fought Mexican style fighters. Nothing like Inoue.
