A blast from the past... At 18 mins 35secs is a section showing Ken Morgan and Derek Chester with their residence organ. I used to live round the corner from Ken and Derek in Monton, Eccles, and they were responsible for getting me interested in playing theatre organs. Great characters, and good friends, although I lost touch with them later on. Thanks for posting this video!
Every time I watch this documentry, I always wonder: What ever came of the Compton in Gorleston? I've constantly been trying to find out but it's never been succesful. Aside from that, thank you for posting this!
Hi Matthew, Thanks for commenting. Robbie was a great guy who gave a wonderful performance at Compton Lodge accompanied by his lady friend! He was getting on a bit but his playing was exceptional. A true professional. Best Wishes to you and yours, Take Care, PAUL.
I saw this documentary many years ago when I was putting together my own theatre pipe organ. I'm glad it has been preserved and shown on UA-cam.

There will never be another Reginald Dixon Ian. Sorry to see a handful of dancers on the floor these days. So sad! - PAUL.
