Humans fear the unknown, they only become comfortable once they've Conquered that fear or erased it from existence.
My Kin and I hid from them, preferring our isolation to anything else. Being left alone was a luxury we would never give up.
Our skin like blackened bark , our tremendous claws like brilliant obsidian, our glorious fangs like glistening diamonds, our magnificent fur as pitch black as the night itself.
All things wondrous to be seen would never see the light of day, until you came for us.
We were nothing but value to you, Monsters who served as monetary gain. Money to be made and parts to be auctioned off.
You butchered us, captured and enslaved others, and for those that remained they became little more than cattle.

Alone the "monster" sat upon his throne. his "cell" as he more aptly called it. his eyes were closed as he idly ran his clawed finger along the edge of the long empty chalice resting on the arm of said "throne". he could see them running through his halls of his hidden castle. eons past he sent his minions away, his powerful followers scattered or killed by his own hand. he had long lost the ambition for conquest and glory. now he was but a simple hermit in self imposed exile to live out his existence till the end of all things.
His eyes lazily opened when the sound of his throne room's door's were smashed open and the appointed "hero's" spilled into the room like a stain on the carpet in his eyes. "so...you're finally here...like vaulters picking at the scraps of a long dead corpse you have come."
the lead of the group steps forward and points his holy blade at the "monster". "we have come to ensure your evil never rises! we know of how your works of old have made it into the hands of dark lords of the past! we have searched far and found the last of your 'hidden' followers and slew them for the evil monsters they are! All that is left is the master himself!"
Most of the battle hungry group cheered in chorus to their leader's speech. the monster sighed and flicked his finger against the chalice to send it skidding across the room. it came to a stop at the feet of the leader. he watched with annoyed amusement as the group jumped back and prepared their weapons for a sudden surprise attack, but nothing happened. "Go on dogs...take it. Be good little pups and return it back to your masters. It's what they wanted correct? Mementos of all of my disbanded court?"
The hero's stood in confusion as the monster stood and stood with his arms held behind his back as he looked at them with a bored expression. His eyes landed on a certain raven haired beauty and he looked at her with sorrow in his eyes. "i see they even convinced her descendent to follow in this fool quest. Tell me what promises did they make for you? Fame? Fortune?! Past crimes expunged from record? You are all fools."
The monster slowly strode down the few steps leading to his throne towards the hero's as several were starting to doubt and question the "cause" they were following.
"I know not lies and dark whisper your master's have told you, nor do I honestly care. All i have wanted was to be left alone, to be forgotten like ashes on the wind of a disasters past. i broken my council with my own hands and slew those that would not leave as commanded. I desired to be lost in the annals of history and not even be a foot note in the most ancient of tomes! The sole thing I came to cherish and care for more then my warlording and blood shed was stolen from me! Twisted by lies and poisoned honey words by the very master's that now hold your leash! They even dare use her descendent against me to force my hand!"
The monster raised his hand and curled it into a fist as the castle started to tremble and the air became thick with the power at his command. Several fell to their knees as they looked on in fear at being showed a mere glimpse of the power at his command despite all the time that he has remained dormant.
"I WANTED NOTHING FROM THIS WORD AFTER SHE WAS TAKEN FROM ME! THEY HAD WON AND BROKE MY SPIRIT AND WILL TO CONTINUE ON MY CAMPAIGNE AGAINST THEM! BUT I SHOULD HAVE KNOW! SHOULD HAVE KNOWN THAT THOSE INSASTIABLE BEASTS WOULD NEVER BE FULL FROM THEIR HUNGER FOR POWER! SO THEY SEND DESPERATE SOULS TO ME IN AN ATTEMPT TO KILL ME!"
the only one of the group not on their knees was the raven haired descendent. she only stared in horror as it felt like memories not belonging to her filled her mind and a part of her that was sealed away was broken free in the presence of this world ending power. Tears ran down her face as she looked at the rage filled visage of the monster.
"IF IT IS A MONSTER AND DEVIL THIS WORLD DESIRES THEN BY WHATEVER GOD YOU FUCKING PRAY TO I WILL GIVE IT TO YOU!"

He smiles to himself, he turns silently calling his machines to do the same, he knows what they will think, that by some miracle the King of Night decided to spare them and in a way he had, he had turned away and prolonged the war for another age, laughing to himself he returns to the fortress that has never fallen and waits for the next battle, waits for the so called heroes to hunt him, for armies to besiege the Fortress of Night, for the struggle to begin again.

The monster and the hero facedown in the middle of a colossal wreckage, the remains of the hero upturning every mountain to find the monster with the huge horns and wicked teeth, the glowing red eyes and long, serpentine tail lined with horrific spines. The monster is badly wounded from running, trying to avoid the hero. They look up at the hero, a long, shining blade in their hands.
The monster lifted their great dark head and tried to speak, but the hero lashed out violently, cutting off a great ram horn. The monster roared, "What do you want from me!?"
The hero laughed behind their steely mask. "I want you dead!" They cried, as though the question was stupid.
"Why? What have I done to deserve it?"
"You are a mosnter," they said simply, like it were something everyone knew.
The monster was silent, staring in disbelief. "Really."
"Why, of course." They pointed their glimmering sword, disguised in light, at the monsters head. A bolt of lightning split from the point, lancing forward and cracking into the monster's head. The beast roared, broken teeth flying, smoke shooting off of their sizzling, charred face. Two of their four red eyes had been burnt out, and the monster clutched their face with a huge, many clawed paw and groaned. They crashed backwards with the impact, their huge serpentine tail lashing. They thrashed their head and roared. "YOU!" They shrieked, their vocal cords frayed with hatred, so it sounded like a thousand voices of all different pitches screaming through grating lungs. "YOU ARE THE MONSTER," They cried, lifting a huge hand and pointing a wicked talon at the hovering figure, cloaked in a foul light.
IN response, the hero brought down their gleaming blade on the hand, slicing it off.
The monster roared and went down, clutching their stump to their great scarred chest. Molten tears erupted from their two good eyes. Shuddering, the monster knelt before the hero, who hovered cruelly, a cold sneer on their face, the blood on their blade hidden by the light. The hero laughed and jabbed the monster in the neck, tasing them. The monster groaned and hunched lower, blood pooling around them.
They looked up at the cruel figure. "Leave me alone," they gasped. "...please..."
The hero smiled
and
cut
the monster's
throat
and the town cheered when they returned with the monster's stricken head, missing horns and teeth and eyes, lava tears solidified on their face.
The hero died that day, and the monster lived on in a hall of fame, a gleaming blade at their side.

Being a "monster" doesn't make you evil.. Its the assumptions and generally the word of those that have 0 idea who or what you really are that make claims against you.. Assuming is the ultimate evil.. And its these assumptions that made me cry and hurt.. I love you all!!!.. Please stay safe and keeping pushing forward even if the heros say your an evil monster..!! The shadow learched away from the outstretched blade pointed towards it.
The group had found it in the back of the cave. The mage warned the rest to avoid it, noting the shadow's eldrich power. It terrified him.
"Come now Elgad." the warrior exclaimed "It clearly isn't going to fight, perhaps it would make for a good pet, or fetch a good price?"
"I think you all should step back..." The mage warned. "He is becoming agitated, and could kill us all, or worse"
The warrior did not listen, and upon poking the shade, he was greeted by the silhouette of a being so impossibly complex and terrible, their minds began to bleed from their own ears. The shadow engulfed them all.
No-one has ever found the group of adventures that entered the cave those months ago. Only the mage ever returned, only saying that the group had messed with something beyond comprehension. He never was the same, often providing little anymore beyond rumblings of horrors, and plenty of time spent drunk at the tavern.
So is that thing an entity or an invisible force?

I think the statement would have a stronger impact if you didn't add "a hero" to the end. As it is implied for the reader to fill in the blank.

Amidst the chaos of the world, lay an untouched forest, calm and peaceful, and within this forest was a single creature, the last of their kind. A gentle giant that didn't harm another being for any reason. The birds rested upon its back while animals laid beside it and slept without fear of predators. The creature simply wished for restful sleep to one day turn into an eternity with its family on the other side.
Alas, the greed of the world eventually set its sights upon the calm forest. This greed caused great machines of destruction to uproot trees that stood proudly for millenia and remove animals that had stayed for generations. The creature was eventually sighted and greed turned to fear, fear of the unknown. This fear took form in the weapons raised against it, from sticks that flung metal and raised a loud ruckus. They caused the creature to awaken from its slumber and it became confused by the sensations in its side. Once again the sticks loosed another volley of sharp metal, one striking the creature in one of its eyes.
In of more pain, the creature threw the invaders out of its first with a mighty toss. Only for them to return but with machines that breathed fire. They decimated the forest and drove the creature from its home.
Upon a hill, it stood and watched as, as far as the eye could see, its forest, its home, was destroyed. It grunted as it tried to breathe, and upon placing a paw upon its side, understood the damage caused by the greed and fear, and the creature grew full of anger and disgust.
Its home. Its family. All of the animals that were its companion. All of them were gone and would never return. And so, the creature, filled with anger and anguish, sought to do unto the invaders what they themselves had done to it. It sought to take their loved ones, their homes, everything.
For if they wished to destroy and attack without cause, they themselves, and the world that told them to do it, will all reap what hath been sown.
They destroyed its whole world and so, as recompense, it shall return unto them tenfold.

What is worse? The self righteous who justify their actions as moral, or someone who others branded as a monster who's only crime is being different.

Human nature is a fickle thing. We call ourselves intelligent and rational, and yet we let our emotions control us when it is most important to stay rational.
But when there is an inhuman monster, stronger than anything, able to destroy a city at mere whim, humanity is doomed...
Until a hero appears. One who receives supernatural strength from some higher power, growing stronger at breakneck speeds, now able to fight the monster after two weeks, humanity receives hope again.
But is it really right? The monster had lived quietly in the forest for centuries, doing nothing to hurt any of us. With its duplication and cloning ability, it took on the shape of dragons, spirits, gods, bigfoot, ogres, goblins, yetis, and so much more. It became the myths and stories we believe today, and yet, with its unfathomable power, never hurt anyone. It simply wanted to live alone, transforming into its food, duplicating itself, and killing its clone for food. It had always found a way to avoid conflict, even eating clones it made of itself to survive, all to avoid violence. It had always been a peaceful being, until humans, oh-so-selfish humans, became afraid of it and fired first.
Right, it was a monster.
But it just wanted to be left alone.

The world's not so black and white, the one perceived as a monster could be the good guy while the "hero" is actually the villain, you never know the full story but many are quick to judge and take sides quickly based off a one sided story.

Perhaps the heroes have lied to you, and are not as good as they seem to be. What atrocities have they committed in their quest to defeat the monsters? Does their title of hero release them from wrong-doing? Nothing is as it seems, my friend.

People see me with disgust. Might be because of my face. So is that why many ugly people change their face with surgery to make them beautiful? But not me. I embraced it. Yes i am ugly, so what? Just because someone has a pretty face doesn't mean they're 100% pretty at heart. I don't say i am pretty at heart either. But i am broken. I blame myself for even born in this world. I consider myself a bad luck because they hate me. I wish i am dead now but suicide is not the answer because those people will win if i did. But it's not about who wins nor i want to. It's about who's gonna suffer the worst and came out on top from that punishment and who stays alive longer. As long as i'm still breathing, i'm gonna watch them suffer to see me alive and well.

They always called me the villain which I never wanted to be. I just wanted to live in peace and heal from the wounds of my past. I'd come so far from my broken state and rock hard heart. But now that I'd trusted them and opened up again my soft new heart had been cut open and was bleeding. I wanted escape but they kept bringing up my sinful past. So if they want me to be the monster I will be. I'll stop striving to be better if I am more skilled being bad, more feared and respected when I am angry. I'll embrace the darkness and let it consume but this time instead of it controlling me I will be in charge of it. The power I have will be unstoppable. And once I have burned everything and everyone in my way down I will disappear from the world, where no one can find me. And I'll beg the light to forgive me and have mercy and understanding why I had to do it. I couldn't trust anyone to protect me but myself, who could blame me?
