    I personally really like the way Drax’s red tattoos/markings (?) came out! They look really good

    As always great video. I appreciate you sharing the good and bad. It makes me feel a little less bad about the printing failures I've had today, seeing your failures are actually pretty damn good :) as in your failures look great

      I'm glad it helped! What were you printing? Printing failures can be SOOOO frustrating because there are so many factors in play. It was a major source of my headache when I was still using the Moai. One moment it may be insufficient supports, then you realize maybe it's the orientation of the model that is the problem, and after you fix them, the resin tank may have residues from the failed prints so you gotta clean it up, then after the whole ordeal, it's actually the model itself that is messing things up 😣🤢🤮

      @@zedabyu this one was me being silly during post process. My partner "mentioned" the smell creeping into the house so I quickly moved my wash outside...in my rush I didn't think about outside containing all of the earth's natural supply of ambient uv light. When I saw a strange film very very slowly forming I realised exactly what I had done LOL. Im printing a test head I made in zbrush. This isn't to attach to a figure but just to look at how much I should tune details at this scale. Just started a second attempt but at 1/3 scale. Wish me luck!

      @@Nathan-ib2rs LOL! I've been there too. Was trying to wipe the bottom of my resin tank and needed light to see clearly so I brought it towards the sun and when I was done with cleaning, the resin in the tank solidified 🤪 Oh 1/3! Must be exciting to see the head in much greater details than a 1/6 head. Good luck!

    I watched this video because I am looking for ways to color bodies - the phicen or TBleague bodies are the BEST, but they don't offer enough diversity with skin tones. If I use the chalk and took my time - is that all I'll need to color the body? Someone suggested make up but I think make up would be messy and would fade over time...the chalk seems like a much better way to go.

    • @zedabyu
      @zedabyu  2 роки тому

      Oil pastels will definitely stick on longer than make up. Take your time, wash off the excess and those colors that stuck on should be there for good. Kinda like a "stain" from some of those poor made clothing. But if you want a more permanent method, you can try using Rit dye and dye the body in boiling water.

    👏 Please 👏make 👏your 👏videos 👏longer 👏 If it's a time issue, I totally get it but I'm sure that many people would like to see your process in more detail. If you're able to produce more thorough vids don't be afraid to do it 😉

    • @zedabyu
      @zedabyu  3 роки тому

      Oh you want it longer? Interesting... Cos my average view time is about 3mins per video so I assumed 8mins is long enough. What do you think is lacking in detail for this video? And what do you want to see in future ones?

    • @Nathan-ib2rs
      @Nathan-ib2rs 3 роки тому +1

      @@zedabyu I was wondering this myself, more people would be interested in the general short fast edit of steps, and the instant gratification of seeing the result quicker...but longer would be interesting for people trying to learn. I'm guessing two different types of audience would appreciate each different video? Maybe it's having a separate video on painting in general if you want to know more, rather than a long section in each video? May get repetitive otherwise. Shorter videos with "trending" characters would get more clicks im guessing... all of that said I have no expertise so am speculating and editing takes time.

    • @zedabyu
      @zedabyu  3 роки тому +1

      @@Nathan-ib2rs yeah... I'm trying to strike a balance between casual viewers and people who are trying to learn. But it seems like right now my audience are mostly people who wants to learn or wants to buy my sculpts lol. I'll probably make a video to compile my creative process and some resources so I could just refer anyone who's interested to that video instead of repeating myself over and over.

      @@zedabyu I like that you've focused on unique things like tats or a different skin tone. My character has a darker complexion, so I'm trying to work out a palette and how to layer for that. Something I haven't done, so I'll go back and watch some of your other videos with darker tones to try to get an idea of what colours you've used.
